Service 5/5: The service was top tier, the guys there are very quick and attentive! They are accommodating as well, helping out with recommendations and answering questions. Hands down one of the best Mexican food spots I've been to in a long time. The fajitas came out sizzling, packed with flavor, and cooked perfectly -- you can smell them before they even hit the table. And the Cadillac margaritas? Absolutely top tier. First Off the staff were so welcoming and attentive. I appreciated that staff Edwin would check in with us and make sure we had all that we needed. The food was very good, i ordered the fajitas plate, the steak and chicken came out so soft, the shrimp had a marinade that was so good. Also ordered margarita flight, the lime and tamarind flavor were my favorite. The restaurant was busy but not to busy we went around 7-8pm and were able to sit where we wanted. The bar area was the first thing we walked in on and it was very clean and organized. We enjoyed looking at the alebrijes painted on the walls, music was playing but not loud enough we couldn't hear each other which I thought was great. Rogelio provided my family with the best service! I'm a mom of identical twin 11 month girls and once I stopped feeding them with rice and beans they'd throw a fit. Haha. The food derives from a family recipe curated from central Mexico and it doesn't disappoint. I'm not native of Mexico, however I've spent weeks in Mexico City, this spot is good and you will love the homely family type service. The atmosphere is whatever you want it to be. Went there for mother day. Only two start because Edwin was great. Edwin was a great server very attentive and was so nice to the kids. Food was not the best the tortillas where either cold fro mine side or just plain hard. We got some nachos the meat was so chewy like it was more fat then real meat. The molcajete was good but for that little bit of meats is was so damn over price. Other people got like the beef enchiladas they felt sick the next day. Another person got camarón al mojo and they had to peel their own shrimp which it shouldn't be like that. Fish tacos was more batter then fish and man the fish was tilapia which is the most nasty fish that could be use. The whole menu looked good in picture but man so over price for not so great food. We would definitely not recommend this place to people. They don't even have free refills on drinks. Horchata didn't even looked or taste like horchata it looks like water with water down milk, that's it. They offer Mexican soda but no refills on those as well crazy!!! The music was to damn loud it was hard to hear the person next to me. The prices where so high that I didn't even feel like eating, I was so ashamed for bringing family to celebrate mother day to a not so good food and overly price. read more

If you're looking for a nice traditional old school Mexican restaurant, Dos amigos is the place for you! The food is fantastic and authentic and the service is above and beyond. The atmosphere is traditional and welcoming we will be back. We were so hungry. We didn't even get photos and I normally do not post a post without photos. Sorry folks. Found this spot on Yelp and wish we had found it sooner. We stopped in on a Sunday evening and got seated immediately. Multiple waiters tended to us an everyone was very helpful. Ordered the Enchiladas de Camaron and they were excellent. Chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful, and their drinks were well balanced. We enjoyed the colorful artwork and the fact they were also playing great music (alt rock) which was a nice variation from what you'd find in standard Mexican restaurants. I ordered a combo with a beef taco and chile relleno and ordered a Taco Baja on the side. My family and I were craving some Mexican food, so we decided to stop by Dos Amigos for the first time because of all the good reviews it had on Yelp. The service was incredible and food the food and drinks were amazing. By far the best margaritas we have ever had- I highly recommend the mango. I also loved their pina colada. All our food was delicious, we had the chilaquiles, chile relleno, carnitas plate, vampiro taco, and carne asada plate. We had no complaints, everything was fresh and delicious. Our favorite was the carne asada plate, it was full of flavor. What made our experience a 10/10 was our server Edwin. He was extremely warm and helpful. Decided to try this place based off the reviews and we left so disappointed. I was really looking forward to this place being good since it's close to home but it was far from that. We ordered the Molecajete and it was so dry all the ones have had in the past are piping hot and have that delicious salsa at the bottom. This one was lacking overall flavor and salsa. The side of rice and beans was as if you were a toddler not for two people to share. And the salsa options did not pair well with the meal. Our server was swapped and brought the food that's suppose to be shareable without side plates. They have large open windows that make you feel like you're sitting outside, but you're not. 60 years ago I used to go to Huntington Beach and so looked forward to having strips and cheese on the beach that had this amazing sauce on the strips.
