    Paella $64.
    Sam V.

Yes, the three dollar signs are accurate. This is a spendy restaurant, but worth it. There were four of us , they started us with an assortment of olives and some crackers. We intended to order the seafood paella so ordered an appetizer of shrimp in sauce.. The advice from other reviewers is accurate, get a second order of bread because the sauce is fantastic. My spouse had the salmon plate and said it was the best he's ever had. I had the seafood stew, cazuela and would order it again. I got to taste the seafood paella and might order that next time. The rice was delicious with a crust of socorat and comes with a scraper to get every bit. Our server was Tomas, he was efficient without being intrusive. The inside area of the restaurant is pretty tight and a bit noisy, I think I'll try outside next time. I can see why they have the email reservation system.

4/4/26 Spring break departure meal..our niece recommended Dos Besos and our boys love paella so we came by and splurged on not one but two paellas! Their tapas were sooo good too! Niece and I started with the lychee cava spritzer $17 setas en crema de trufa (mushrooms in truffle cream) S23 Order the Extra pan (bread) $5 to dip into the mushroom truffle cream. albondigas a la española (spanish meatballs in tomato sauce) $19 And the star of the dinner = paella en su tinta (squid ink paella) $64 fideuá de mariscos (seafood noodle paella) $62 It was a great dinner in great weather dining outside seating under the string lights! Service was great!

Sole reason I came was for the seafood paella and it DELIVERED! It took 35 minutes and it didn't feel long since we got an appetizer and drinks. It was beautifully cook with the right crispiness of the rice and well balance flavor. It was perfect for two. We sat outside and it was giving European vibes. Service was great. Parking is either street (if you're lucky) or scattered parking lots half a block away which can be tricky to find.

What a lovely restaurant in Pasadena! Food was delicious - we ordered the patatas bravas, gambas al ajillo, string beans, seafood paella. For drinks we got sparkling wine sangria. Everything tasted amazing but the only con was that for some dishes I felt the portion size was small for the price. Service was good and prompt. They have a nice outdoor area which is where we sat (great place for people watching).

We close out 2025 with the restaurant of the year - Dos Besos. This place was not on my radar and I discovered it after patronizing a neighboring restaurant. To sum up the experience - WOW! Started off the evening with a a sparkling sangria. Highly recommend you go with this option if you are going to have sangria. It's a fruity and bubbly option. Next was the pulpo a la gallega. Lately I opt for any octopus dish. Again, this did not disappoint. The potatoes complimented the octopus perfectly. It was a toss up for the next tapa and after the girls at the table next to us told us what to skip, we opted for the tortilla española. I'm not gonna lie, I was skeptical about this dish because my mom had made it in the past and it was just meh. Granted, my mom wasn't the best cook either. This was so the right choice! The only drawback is that I wanted more! The dipping sauce was phenomenal. You cannot skip this tapa. Now for the main dish....The other diner wasn't sold on the paella but you cannot go to a Spanish restaurant and pass on the paella! She was a trooper and decided to give it a try as long as I agreed to take the leftovers home. There were no leftovers. I've had many a paella but never one where the rice on the bottom was crispy. The crispy rice elevated this dish to the point we were scraping the pan for every last morsel. Don't let anyone at your table talk you out of a paella. As you can see, the tables for two are pretty small (we dined inside). This poses a problem if you each are going to get a paella, which I recommend after scraping the pan. So, just keep that in mind. I think my next trip I'll be going by myself so I can have all the yummies all to myself. Parking is fairly easy. You can snag a spot on the street or park at a structure. I absolutely loved this place and if you're looking for some Spanish fare, do not pass up this place.

Spanish meatballs and Iberico (half eaten)
    Katia M.

10/10, can't wait to come back. The food is phenomenal. We had the Iberico (big time WOW), the Spanish meatballs, and the octopus. Absolutely order the Iberico, it just melts in your mouth. The Spanish meatballs and the octopus were both surprisingly tender, each with its own density of flavor. The bread pudding was perfectly not too sweet. It was paired with some rich vanilla ice cream. The service was just as exceptional as the food. Our server, Tomas is one of the most polite, well spoken individuals I've had the pleasure of being served by. The ambiance is delightful. We came for dinner on a Friday night and the music, the fairy lights, and the chatter was all perfect. Will absolutely be back for more. Don't skip this place! And definitely order the Iberico

The food here is absolutely delicious! I can't get enough of the paella -- we tried the squid ink version but swapped the rice for pasta, and it was packed with flavor. The shrimp dish was another favorite, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fish baked in rock salt was a bit on the bland side, but the texture was tender, and the green beans served alongside were incredibly fresh. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes -- the truffle pasta and seafood stew are next on my list

Reservation for 745. Came early but they were full so we took a quick walk and came back. They posted their menu outside so I took a picture and decided on what I wanted to order while we waited. We were seated promptly at 745 when we came back. As soon as we sat down, I ordered the seafood paella because it takes 35 minutes to cook. I also ordered everything else I wanted to try Pan con tomate - crispy rustic bread with light tomato sauce. Crispy and refreshing. Jamon serrano - you can taste the quality in the Serrano ham. Went well with the toast Pulpo a la gallega - the octopus was so soft and the the potato went well with it. Cazuela de mariscos - this seafood broth was so good. The seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly. My husband ordered extra bread it and it came out hot and fresh and went perfect with the broth. Seafood paella - I've only had this dish a couple of times at other places so hard to compare, but this was the best one I've eaten. I'm not a big rice eater but the Arborio rice used was so starchy and filling. The seasonings were good and the rice was not bland. The seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly. Almond cake - warm and not too sweet. I really wanted to have the basque cheesecake but it was sold out (I guess you should make sure you have dinner reservations earlier if you want cheesecake). I would come back again because the chef came out and recommended that we try their off menu item -- Iberian pork paella. I tasted high quality and fresh ingredients. Nothing was greasy or heavy. I felt like I ate a healthy dinner and I imagine this is how a European diet would be. Also, remember this is on the higher side for pricing.

Food was great. Service was amazing! This restaurant is not the most affordable, but it's worth it! I highly recommend the seafood paella, the octopus, and the Basque cheesecake! All the employees are kind and attentive... but our favorite is Audrey!

    Melissa H.

Loved the ambiance and service, we liked the pan con tomate, the mushrooms with truffle the most. We also ordered the seafood stew, which we didn't think was worth the cost especially because the mussels and clam tasted fishy. I'd probably just stick with tapas and drinks here.

My cousin took me here for my early bday celebration. I loved how cute and quaint it was. We were seating in the outside patio, which was nice. We started the evening with a pitcher of their sparkling white sangria, which was easy to drink (perfect for a hot summer's night out I can imagine). We started with the mushroom cream with truffle. It may sound basic, but we had bread with it and it tasted heavenly. It was so balanced that the dairy in that sauce does not linger on the palate. It was perfectly seasoned and went beautifully with the bread. The consistency was like a chowder.... if it came in a soup bowl, it would get devoured and our waistlines would happily regret. We then had the tuna carpaccio mixed greens salad just to be healthy. It was a standard salad even though it was plated sooo beautifully. However, it was nothing to write home about. It's a salad, not the invention of the internet. We ended our meal with their squid ink paella. It was cooked to perfection. The grains were barely cooked through, tender, flavorful, and the prawns weren't overcooked. I had a pitcher of the red wine sangria to myself and it was standard. Overall, I liked this place and would come back to try their other dishes.

The food here was really good! We tried the Octopus starter and opted for two specials; Iberian Pork Paella, and a Braised Oxtail Pasta. Our friends got the Seafood Paella. All were great. For dessert, we got afogatos that were good and friends got bread pudding that was more like a custard and opinions were divided. Place is super tiny but cute and they have an outdoor space that was comfortable enough, but sat directly across from a neighboring restaurant that had obnoxious mariachi music playing the entire time. Certainly not Dos Besos' fault, but it was annoying. Service was fine. All in all, a good evening, and the food was the star.

    Vegetable paella
    Kenneth L.

One of the best restaurants in Pasadena. Food was phenomenal and had fresh, unique flavors. Very vegetarian and pescatarian friendly, too. My favorite was the vegetable paella, which was something I've never had before. It was obvious that it was made with care and precision--the rice was soft but still had a nice bite, and every veggie was carefully arranged and cooked to perfection. The other highlight was the octopus; I'm more used to Japanese style octopus, so the texture here was new to me. I've never had octopus so soft. I was super impressed that it was somehow cooked without making it seize and firm up. Parking might be a little difficult, Pasadena being Pasadena. There are a couple of spots out front, but if you round the corner twice so that you're on Holly Street, there's also some parking close to Memorial Park. Then you can cross back through the alley to get back to Dos Besos quickly. You might still have to get lucky, but I found parking fairly easily in the early evening!

Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.

They were also extremely accommodating with dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. No full bar, but the sangrias were excellent with great flavors, and the wine list was approachable rather than overwhelming. Nice touch that everything is available by the glass, carafe, or bottle, with bottles still being the best value. The vermouth on ice with dessert was fantastic. Every dish was excellent. The strawberry gazpacho was a fun twist, and the artichoke hummus rivaled the hummus at Saffy's, though in a different style. I also noticed the very high-quality olive oil across multiple dishes, which says a lot about the attention to detail. Heads up, they seem to have a cult around their cheese cake, every staffer mentioned it and waxed poetic (as do many reviews). :-) We'll do it next time but opted for the flan which did not disappoint -- texture and flavor spot on. This feels like a place that wants to become a true neighborhood spot. The long bar seems ideal for casual walk-ins or solo diners looking for a quick bite and a glass of wine. We went all out, but you could easily order a couple of plates and a drink and leave very happy. Portion sizes were generous for a tapas-style restaurant. A great addition to the neighborhood and absolutely worth a visit. Fills a niche in the area.

Love portuguese food and the culture is so welcoming, the ambiance and vibe did not miss the mark…read moreat all. Not sure the ethnicity of the team but they were also very welcoming and kind. We sat at the bar and recieved great service. They also remember my brother from visiting so often. We tried the Piri Piri Chicken, it was half a chicken, perfect for sharing. The seasonal snap pea salad with tarragon and mint leaves was refreshing and a great start. They do run out of pastel de natas, I believe it was once only served on the weekend but now weekly, They offer ginja and green wine, and they def didn't forget the iconic tiles you see everywhere in portugal. Shrimp was my favorite !

came here last night and thought it was pretty delightful. I forgot to take a few pictures but…read moreoverall I enjoyed my time here. I thought the service was pretty on point and they would always come around to check on us and always come over to fill our water and wine when it was empty. We ordered the special of the day steak, charred cabbage, head on prawns, starter(all four) with olives, cheese, cured meats and bread, calamari toast, and fritters and another bread dish to dip it into the prawns sauce. I would say that the fritters were a bit disappointing, it really could use an aioli sauce to go with it to really enhance this dish. It was just missing something and I think an aioli sauce could really help. My personal favorite was the calamari toast. Something about the way they cooked the calamari was really good on the taste and the how tender it was to eat. The toast soaked it in all the sauce too and I just really loved this dish. The head on prawns had a good sauce to go along with it and as recommended by the waiter that it is nice to eat bread with their sauce. Prawns were good as well. Surprisingly my 2nd favorite dish was their charred cabbage. It doesn't actually sound that special but the beans and the cabbage were really nice. I just think you have to try it as I can't even describe why it was so good to me haha. The special of the day steak was pretty good as well. If I have to complain, it be nice if they asked us how we would like it to be cooked because it did feel like it was a bit well done on our end but taste wise we thought it was good. The dessert: Didn't care for the Portuguese egg tart all but there's a very high standard for the egg tart but I did really enjoy my passion fruit sorbet that they provided and it was a huge scoop. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back and really did enjoy my time here.
