In the heart of Times Square, this was a welcoming respite from all the tourist friendly restaurants in the area like TGI Fridays or Red Lobster. I came here with a friend around 4:30pm and there were no tables available without reservations (kind of odd...) so we opted for a table downstairs in the lounge. The lounge area was somewhat crowded with some semi loud music, but we were still able to have a conversation. We got margs and some chips and salsa to share. The chips is a very generous portion, enough for 3 or 4 people to share. I liked the trio of sauces that came with the chips. The salsa isn't the typical chunky tomato kind, but more of a thin runny sauce. They ranged from mild to hot. Warning: the "hot" one is pretty hot. Margs were slightly pricer than I expected (and could have been stronger for that price) but for the location I guess it was to be expected. Our waiter was very friendly and service was prompt and I was pleased with how fast our drinks came. If you happen to be the area for whatever reason, this is a good go-to for after Broadway drinks or dinner. read more

We were here for breakfast as we were staying at the W NYC upstairs, this was a Saturday morning and there was a short wait for a table as two large groups were already dining and another just seated. The host was very communicative and apologized for the wait. It wasn't a problem for us. He was quite friendly and sociable. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes, which were ginormous and my kids helped me eat them. Both my kids ordered the breakfast quesadillas which had scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, and salsa. They were also huge, made with burrito sized tortillas which were amazingly crispy from being seared on the griddle - yum - and were topped with crema and some hot sauce. I got to eat some of theirs too and really liked it. I did salt the eggs though too. My son had a strawberry banana smoothie which he said was very good and it arrived pretty quickly. If you are looking for a quick and convenient meal/drinks before heading to the theater - Dos Caminos is a good option. We were hesitant since it was on Times Square - worried it would be pricy without the quality, but we thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. We were still quite full from a large lunch, so we opted for drinks, a small guac, the salsa trio, and the street veggies. The guac was excellent and freshly made - they even asked us our spice preference. The salsa were all fresh, flavorful, and had three distinct flavors. We have always eaten downstairs which you can either take the stairs down to or take an elevator. The food has always been really good and honestly comes out pretty quickly after ordering! We got the salsa trio which had three different salsas varying in spiciness. I can't really handle spice so it hurt my tongue but for someone who likes spice, they would have enjoyed the variety. My mom ordered the plátanos which is good as an appetizer or as a dessert and we each got the barbecue chicken quesadilla which was super tasty and was served with guacamole, rice and beans on the side. Came here to get drinks. Got to the spot around 5pm when they have happy hour from 3-6 and sat at the bar. There wasn't any mention of happy hour on any menus but it is clearly on their site. When asked about it he went to "management" and got us 2 drinks discounted. We did leave at 6:20p but that shouldn't be when the bill time is used to determine happy hour.
