Great time for Cinco de Mayo, even with a group of 8, including 4 children. Food was excellent, but margarita was ok. I will be back.

We just moved to Roswell two weeks ago, so we're in the market for our new Friday Night Mexican food hang out. After shopping at Kroger's a few times we couldn't help but notice the weekend crowds at Dos Margaritas, so we decided to give it a try last Friday night. The staff was friendly and our server was great.Our first impression when looking for a new Mexican restaurant are the Margaritas, chips, and salsa. For the Margs our waiter recommended the Organic Margaritas which were excellent! However, I wish we could say the same thing for the chips and salsa as the latter tasted like tomato paste with season salt. For just such emergencies, we always have a "Plan B" move before declaring a FAIL, which is order Guacamole and reset our review. (Buzzer Sound) We were told there were no avocados. Double-fail. The official line was that the daily avocado delivery wasn't up to par, and was sent back, or some crap like that...Good marketing attempt, but it sounded like BS to us. Besides Kroger's is right next door, it was late in the day, buy some damn avocado's to last out the shift! The net, is a Mexican joint saying they're out of avocado's would be like a Chinese restaurant saying they're out of rice. We ordered something or other that was average at best, but we were admittedly still reeling from the whole avocado ordeal, so who know's... First visit and not to impressed with the food....the chicken plate I had was made with dark meat not chicken breast...dark meat is not that great tasting to me....but the service was ok...I have had better service at taco bell.....hard to find good mexican restaurants around here. Try the place and maybe your experience will be better. read more

Great food and service! I ordered the quesadilla tomatillo and the pork was tender and flavorful and it was a very generous portion. Mango Texas margarita was also very good! Will definitely be back! Ashley is the best :) read more

I have never had a bad experience here. I frequent this place a good bit and have sat at both the bar and in the general restaurant area and I have felt very well served. The food is great. The drinks are very well made. The bartender working most nights named Kristin is a top notch bartender who makes sure everyone is taken care of. I came in on Cinco de Mayo and she was killing it. The Pollo Loco is my favorite dish and has been very high quality and consistent every time. Definitely recommend this place to new people in the area and ones that are just looking for the best Mexican. read more

We ordered Baja burrito polo and 3 street tacos (chicken and chorizo). They tasted good.

Amazing margaritas! The stuffed poblano with steak was so good. Best chili poblano I've ever had. Also, the chorizo cheese appetizer was very tasty with a smoky flavor. read more

One of the best Mexican style shrimp cocktail dishes in ATL. The owners are friendly, and it's a good neighborhood spot.

We have been coming to Dos Margaritas for several years. Always good food and a consistently good experience. We hadn't been back for several months, but happened to stop in this week and got the opportunity to order from their new menu. Very impressed. The menu update looks terrific. I ordered the shrimp chipotle tacos and they were seriously outstanding and filled with premium ingredients. Loved that I could order them as lettuce wraps as an option. Great job on improving what was already good, but has now stepped it up a notch to excellent. Great quality and value. We will be back again very soon. Thank you. read more

Will never go here again, period!! I can put up with mediocre food and less than motivated wait staff, but when the young manager (term used loosely here!) tells me he is "doing me a favor" for not charging me for a wrong order, nope, not putting up with that stuff. I've worked with the food & beverage industry long enough to know that how we were treated will be making Dos Margaritas just another of the failed Mexican restaurants that have been in this location. Chips were hot and fresh. Salsa good. Chimichanga, taco, enchilada, refried beans, and rice were bland, pedestrian.

I've never left a review before, but this was awful. We ate there Sunday night. Very few people there and a few steps past hostess stand smell was awful. By our booth near kitchen, even more so. Cheese dip literally thick bc not heated thoroughly. Food came and it just didn't taste right either. Taco seasoning had strange taste. I'm sure bad smell affected that. Grated cheese that topped food wasn't melted either. It was another try there bc we wanted Mexican, but after numerous trys now, we won't be back no matter how much we don't want to drive further to a different place read more

I have been here 3 times and each time the service, food and drinks have been great. (I love a Mexican restaurant that serves named brand wines!) I love the fresh made guacamole!!! This is our new favorite neighborhood hangout. read more

We have eaten at this restaurant for years but since they changed hands we are very disappointed. Often the dinner delivered is different from what we ordered ( beef instead of chicken for instance.) Sometimes the spices are great - other times not. Tonight the burritos were so salty I couldn't eat mine. The wait staff seems to be trying but we see different people working every week,in addition to a few regulars.. I wish I knew where the previous folks went. we are looking for better choice. read more

Food was decent, but service was bad. The server asked us to wait to clean up the table but forgot about us, so we had to remind them and wait longer to be seated. And it took over an hour to get our food, think they forgot about our order since other people who got there later than us were almost done eating by the time we got ours. read more

TERRIBLE. Just terrible. Service, food, drinks...all terrible. The first time we went there when they opened, our whole family got food poisoning and were sick all night. This was a year later and I decided to give it a second try - I should have not wasted my time & money. Chips taste like oil, margaritas are weak and the waiter NEVER even took our order. Seriously.l, he took our drink order (which he got wrong by the way) and NEVER came back! I had to get the check from another person. Had to leave a bad review to let everyone know the deal and to save my friends a buck or a trip to the bathroom. I hope they read this and make changes or the place is doomed - seems that way anyway because there were only 2 tables or people in the whole place. I called ahead to set a reservation for 30 people. That was good. But when it was time to eat only 5 dishes came out and there was a 20-30 min wait before other dishes came. Very sporadic service. The food was good Mexican food considering you're in Georgia. But service left bad taste. read more

Maybe it was an off night for them (based on some of the other reviews), but it took about 10 minutes before our drink order was in (we had to flag the manager because no one noticed us). Then the drinks were wrong. Then it took way too long for the mediocre food to arrive. The funny part was, it wasn't even busy. Disappointed. read more

This was probably the worst Mexican food I've ever had ordered from being down in Georgia. Not only are the prices terrible compared to the amount of food they gave you, the steak was so greasy i couldn't even eat it. My entire family of 6 ordered from here and not one of us full or liked the food and spent $100 on something not worth it. I do not recommend this place at all read more

My second time and it was not good. The chip were not fresh or warm! I ordered tacos, enchiladas and rice. The waitress had to be called to ask for second half cup bowl of bland salsa. The meat was not seasoned. I gave them the benefit the first time, I won't be back! read more

Good basic Steak Taco. What the call guacamole is more like whipped green crap. Get a clue.

The food is absolutely awful. Nothing we ordered had any flavor whatsoever. The beans tasted like mush, and they were gray. Our server was nice, but we had to wait forever for our drinks, and even longer for the manager to come check in with us after we mentioned the problem with the food. Not a fan of the sister restaurant at Hickory Flat. Decided to give this one a try! Our food was fantastic! The fajitas were perfectly cooked and delicious. Husband loved the stuffed Poblano. Yummy! All that being said....our experience was horrendous! Our waiter acted like he had smelled a fresh turd from the moment we sat down. He was rude and condescending. He was inattentive and it took a long time to get the things we ordered/asked for. He left a sour taste in everyone's mouth each time he came to the table!!!! He never asked us if we would like another drink or refill. Guess he wanted us out of there as quick as possible....they were not busy...guess he wanted to go home. We were obviously holding him up on his plans. Speaking of the drinks....they come in Ball glass jars. A large beer comes in a QUART SIZE! Try wrapping your hands around that without dropping it when it becomes wet. Not a good idea! Just a taste of the waiter and his attitude....we were discussing this exact topic when he walked up and interrupted. He corrected me at the table informing me that my friend had ordered a 32 oz beer and that is what the jars held. I informed him back that it was not correct. He argued with me that he was right. I laughed and told him to check his math...the jar would have needed to be filled up a lot more than it was and that they should not serve people beer in jars with ounces measured on its size. I know exactly how much beer came in the jar! It was short at least 4-5 ounces! That was not even a concern since my friend left 8 oz in the jar when we left. It was just the fact that our server saw it fit to argue with his customers over something so trivial. I was over the rudeness by the end of our meal and asked for a manager...No one came. You will need to review your bill for mistakes! We ordered an a la carte item and we were charged for the meal. I asked for it to be fixed and the server told me that they do not have any a la carte. I informed him that he should have stated that when we ordered our food and clearly stated "A LA CARTE" two times to him! It did seem that the other servers were nicer...saw many smiles from them. The food is average Mexican food, which I'm fine with. The service is better than averge as are the margaritas. The decor is a bit cheesy and most of it is how Frontera left it when they closed their doors. My only gripe was the music, well lack of music. When we sat at the bar all I could hear was the hum of the freezer. Come on people this is a bar, not a library. read more
