My mother and I finally made it here for lunch earlier this week. Octavio was our host and server. With further conversation we learned he is part-owner or owner of this restaurant. He is kind, prompt, knowledgeable, and seeks feedback on the quality of the food. My mother ordered the salmon lunch special ($13.99 I believe). As you can see from the photo, it is a large meal, especially for the low price of the lunch special. She enjoyed it greatly and the salmon had no fishy smell or taste which is sometimes an issue with salmon. I ordered the shrimp cocktail which was $21 I believe. Compared to other shrimp cocktails in the area, this is larger, making it less costly for the spice of it. The quality of seafood and veggies was really fresh. They do serve beer and mimosas currently. They are awaiting the approval of their liquor license, and Octavio said they will be building a large bar in the restaurant. We will definitely return and recommend others to try this place out! read more

The food was delicious and the menu offered some unique choices. I had huevos divorcios and it had red and green chilaquiles. It's a little dark inside and the decor could use a little update but the food was so good. The breakfast comes with a cup of really good coffee too! Service was good as well. read more

I'm very pleased with this new restaurant, the food here is so good with authentic Mexican flavors. My husband and I shared the breakfast tamal and the breakfast mole enchiladas and they did not disappoint. Both dishes were seasoned well and had major flavor with a great balance. Came to dinner today for my neices birthday. We were told by 2 different wait staff that they were out of shrimp. We were disappointed because thats what we came to get but understood as it's a Friday during Lent and figured they had a busy day. That was until we saw that every table seated and ordering after us was served with some type of shrimp dish as we were left to eat our under flavored fish dishes. When we questioned the staff about why every table had shrimp when we were told there were none we were met with a sorry were not. We were undoubtedly very disappointed with our experience and service and will probably not return considering the staff didn't really seem to care about the situation. It also didn't help that a side dish I ordered at the beginning didn't arrive to the table until the bill came. It was a disappointing birthday dinner to say the least. read more

Went for Sunday lunch and this is how my experience was at Dos Mundos Kitchen: Chips were stale Salsa tasted like it wasn't home made. Prices were so expensive. We went for lunch, but it felt like dinner prices. The sugar container had used creamers and leftover milk residue at the bottom. Their wet burrito was so dry that you had to order extra sauce.. which they charge for ($2). Seated right underneath the malfunctioning TV, so I couldn't hear my party. Waitress brought my bill and then also proceeding to take my water away. Stay Away! I would recommend, SED, El Torito, Rodrigos or any other place in the area. read more

My husband and I had dinner at Dos Mundos tonight. The food was delicious, and the service was great. The starter for us was the chips and salsa. I've always thought can tell a lot about a place based on their chips and salsa. These were delish. The chips were warm, and the salsa was blended just right, with a little kick to it. I'd go back just for the salsa. My husband is use to authentic Mexican food, and pretty picky when it comes to where we go for Mexican. He ordered the fajitas and they did not disappoint. They were served sizzling on a skillet with rice, beans, and some type of corn mixture that was very flavorful. I had a soft carnitas taco and a hard shell shredded beef taco. Both were on point. The carnitas were cooked with the right amount of crisp, so yummy. The shredded beef was savory and cooked just right. If you're not in the mood for Mexican, the menu has a variety of other things to choose from. There's something for everyone. We will definitely be back. read more

I understand they just opened-the service was good for a Sunday morning the food was okay - my husband got the pork chops and they were definitely dry my egg white omelette also was just okay but the reason for my review was the cleanliness-for just opening the bathroom was dirty and I'm talking 9:30 Sunday morning I really judge a place by their cleanliness and the overall restaurant had a real funky smell to it that made eating a put off. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that has sushi on their menu. Too many items on the menu.

My wife and I had a late lunch/early dinner here on Tuesday. I ordered the 'carnitas' plate and my wife had chicken tacos (Taco Tuesday special). My wife said the tacos were the best she had eaten. High praise from her! My meal was less exciting (reason for the 4 stars). On the plus side, large portion of meat, beans, grilled corn, accompanied with a grilled chili and onion. Unfortunately the meat was not prepared in the traditional way; moist, shredded pork. Dos Mundos serves a pork chop type meat cut into little cubes and seared. The meat was very dry and I couldn't finish it. so, word to the wise, do not expect the usual carnitas. BTW-as stated in other reviews, the wait staff is very attentive and polite. read more

Stopped in for some to go breakfast. It was delicious! Then took my wife in for breakfast. She absolutely loved it. Now this is my go to taco Tuesday spot! The tacos are amazing! Went for breakfast, best Chilaquiles I've had! Had with the green sauce, so tasty. The beans and the home fries were very well done, the potatoes were not greasy, but were thoughtfully prepared with onion and peppers. My husband enjoyed his huevos Rancheros, also tasty. The food here is amazing !! This one the one place where the way the food looks on the menu, is the exactly what is brought to your table. The wait staff is very courteous and professional. The drinks are amazing! The atmosphere is very chill and comfortable. The family can eat well here, as well as group of friends wanting to eat, drink, and watch sports on their big screen TVs. This is a new restaurant in Upland go support this business. Went there this morning and had a delicious breakfast. The service was excellent. Their menu has a good variety of Mexican dishes and the prices are pretty fair. Serving size was just perfect couldn't finish my meal. I will be going back for dinner this weekend. My family went to this restaurant last month to celebrate my grandfather's birthday. At the time, they didn't have a liquor license, so we all had water and soft drinks. However, they did have an impressive menu. A huge variety... maybe too much. I dont think sushi should have been on there. The food was okay, just kind of pricey. Our server was attentive and brought out a special dessert for my grandfather after we concluded our meal. Probably wouldn't be my go-to Mexican restaurant, but I can see them doing well in the future. read more
