Glad to have a new sit down Mexican restaurant close to home because there's nothing like sitting down to a gigantic margarita and chips and salsa! Unfortunately, they don't have their full liquor license yet so half of my needs were not fulfilled (but they say they are oh so close to getting that license.) Beer, wine, micheladas and mimosas until then. However, I did get my chips and salsa. The menu has plenty of options and lunch specials during the week. I ordered the fish tacos ala plancha and my husband ordered carnitas. Both were pretty tasty and that grilled corn on the side was so good! Servers were all friendly, hospitable and attentive. The only drawbacks were it was hot, the AC was either not on or not functioning properly. And although I liked the music, it was a bit too loud. So crank up the AC, turn down the music, and craft me a gigantic margarita when you get that liquor license, and I'LL BE BACH! read more

Wife and I have been here a couple of times. Food is good, ambience is nice and we enjoy it. What I really like is the fact that they have many TVs, and a bar to enjoy sports. I think I might make this my "go to" place to grab a drink, some appetizers and enjoy the game. They don't get too many patrons for the bar yet, so I dont want to jinx myself saying its a great place and have the bar fill up to where there's nowhere to sit. Someone mentioned it in another review, they do play alot of Bad Bunny - am guessing someone in the back must really like Bad Bunny. I would recommend they switch it up...play a mix of latino artists and american artists to keep the appeal open to all. But I highly recommend it if you haven't tried the place yet..!! read more

Finally tried this place after driving by serval times over the last year and we have been missing out! Taco Tuesday offers $1.99 street tacos as well as $2.49 hard shell tacos and $3.99 drafts and happy hour food and drinks! These deals are amazing and absolutely worth it. The caldo de res was so good we orders two. Tacos were a generous portion of meat and tasty. The margarita flight was refreshing and a nice addition to the meal. I tried the Stella margarita and it was also very refreshing and hit the spot. Chips and salsa were also amazing! Chips were warm and a a nice little seasoning that made them addicting! Service was also amazing. Yessenia was super attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back! read more

If you're looking for a sports bar with unique drinks then this seems like the place. My meal wasn't made with fresh food The guacamole wasn't fresh. You could tell it had been sitting in the refrigerator for a while. My enchiladas suizas had processed chicken and the chicken tasted funky. I will say that the service was good though. I get the feeling that this place is more of a sports bar than authentic Mexican food. read more

I been saw this place down the street from where I live and to be honest in Upland there is very little good Mexican food restaurants. Wanted to try to see how this one would be. The menu is your typical eggs, hash brown and a big selection of seafood. We ordered the steak and eggs they were good and the serving size was great. I decided give the seafood a try, so I tried the shrimp tacos, they had "grilled" and breaded ordered one of each. For the breaded, they taste like the store bought ones with cabbage and queso fresco. Was not thrilled with them For the grilled, biggest disappointment, seems like the shrimp was boiled first then place on the grill, they were dry and bland no flavor. The thing that was interesting is that the both tacos had cheese between the tortillas which for me is not something I would not want, so would prefer to be asked if wanted. The service was good. New restaurant in Upland. They have plenty of areas to accommodate large parties. There are several TVs throughout to watch the games. They now serve alcohol. You are greeted with free chips and salsa. The food and portions are decent. My husband liked the asada on his nachos. Prices are average. You just have to try it for yourselves. read more

Had breakfast here with friends and family. I honestly had to say I was very impressed with the restaurant food and quality. First off the ambiance is great if u like to watch sports while eating as they have big screens on each wall. We ordered, Mimosa tower, Michelada flight, chilequiles, breakfast tamale, chile verde omelette, kids cheeseburger, dos mundos burrito. Biscuits and gravy. Few sodas came out to be around $150. The menu was great as it has a lot of pictures. And the seafood section is overall impressive from calamari to octupus, lobster tails to oysters! Breakfast served til 11am but u can order lunch/dinner anytime. Although it was pricey but u really get your bang for your buck. The portion sizes match the price! The food was overall good. The food was extremely delicious I went on a Friday and returned Sunday for breakfast. Our server very nice and on point. She made sure our drinks were full. The owner Octavio went over and beyond to greet all his customers. Outstanding! You don't see that anymore. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for game night with all the tv's. read more

New Mexican restaurant, it does need a bit more decor to get it from looking like the old carrows that was there. Food was good, needed some salt, but better to have less than more. The cost is on par with other Mexican sit down restaurants. No beer or liquor yet. Looks like they are still upgrading. Support local business. read more

The food was so delicious the carne asada was so tender and flavorful. The salsa is spicy but addicting the chips were fresh and hot. I had the shredded beef and chicken tacos they were deliciously made. My friend had the carne asada and shrimp burrito I think I ate as much of her food as I ate of mine. I came back the next day just for the tacos. The service was really nice we came almost at closing and they were happy to accommodate us. It's a nice and mellow place I'd definitely recommend. I think this place has potential. I came for breakfast and the portion is big and I appreciate that it matches pricing. I liked their chips and salsa; first time was more of a mocajete type salsa and the second time was probably made in a blender. Both salsas were spicy and tasty. I thought the restaurant was nice and clean even the restrooms. Excellent customer service. When I came my second time it was for dinner. I had the shrimp burrito; I was so hungry I forgot to take a before photo. It was good but maybe I'll ask for it wet next time. Their rice and beans for the bill so I think I'd get another burrito. My sister got fajitas and while they had good flavor they were on the dry side. Their horchata is made in house and delicious. I want to come back to try their mariscos. read more

We stopped in today to give this place a try around lunch time. I have been wanting to check this place out since it's close to home. I'm glad we did! I got the dos mundos burrito and it was great and also huge!! The portions here are very big, worth the price. My husband got the shrimp omelette and he loved it, says the shrimp was perfect and also a huge portion. Our son got the asada tacos and the amount of asada that came in each taco was impressive. I like that the burrito and tacos came with corn on the side. Definitely would come back here. read more

We drove by this new restaurant this afternoon and we went back for dinner, as we like to support new businesses in our area..... 1. Customer service was GREAT. Very attentive and kind. 2. Food was delicious! You get chips and salsa for your table while you wait. The salsa was very flavorful, chips were fresh. 3. Ambiance was nice. Consider this a place holder review. The restaurant has just opened. They are still working out some issues. The wait time is one issue we spent well over 30 minutes waiting for our order at lunch. The menu combines Traditional American Breakfasts with Mexican dishes and throws in Sushi and burgers for good measure? I ordered the rolled tacos with rice and beans . My mother opted for a ham and cheese omelette. She liked the omelet the rolled tacos were ok. The service was friendly but disorganized. This was Carrow's , while the carpet was removed and replaced with black marble look flooring .the ceilings painted black new light fixtures and art. It was past 5pm and we ordered breakfast not realizing breakfast was over at 2pm but our waiter was nice enough to accommodate us. I ordered a coffee, waiter told me it was old and if it was bitter, he was making new batch. It was bitter but ehh , I was to into my food. First impression was a pleasant place that was cool temp wise, the music was way too loud but when we ordered we asked owner/waiter to please turn it down bc my Autistic Daughter was getting very annoyed and anxious due to volume of music. He had no problem turning it down so my daughter could enjoy. The chips are good, enchilada suiza and enchiladaverda was delicious. The chicken and pork were very tender and sauce was flavorful and just a little kick to it but not overly spicy. Waiter was attentive. Where to start? Waitress was horrible never came to see if we needed anything only brought over the food and asked her for some salsa and of course forgot it. She was very attentive at another table but not us. The bartender who seemed to do both jobs was very good at his job. The oysters were not very cold and some of them were questionable. This has become my go to spot for Mexican food. The owner Octavio is as courteous as they come and the waiters and waitresses are always outstanding with their service. It's definitely a great spot if you wanna catch some sports as well with all the tvs they have. The food is outstanding. Been here multiple times and they've never let me down. This is first time me & my wife came here to dine-in today(1-31-26)... All I can say is in one word to describe this place: BLAND!!! Our order overall lacked total flavor, I ordered the Ranchera y Camarones while my wife ordered the Enchiladas Dos Mundos. My Wife told me her order tasted like microwave food and had to cut her enchiladas with a knife because it was hard and didn't even finish her last enchilada, disgusted. We were excited to try this place because of the positive reviews and in the end we were VERY disappointed!!! This place is WAY overhyped and NEVER again we will return. read more

The food here is great. While you can order American food here I would recommend anything Mexican. I just had the huevos rancheros and not only was it good, it was a full plate. The food here is very authentic and it got a seal of approval from my wife. I would definitely recommend this place for Mexican food! read more

The energy in this little spot is alive and you will not leave here feeling anything but full and happy! I typically start with salsa when reviewing a Mexican restaurant, but I need to comment on food value first. The menu is full of main dishes & combo plates, three individual items, and a separate drink menu (coffee de la olla is the bomb). On my first visit I only wanted to sample a couple tacos and was a bit disappointed the menu didn't list à la cart tacos...until I spoke with my server who confirmed they had à la cart tacos. I ordered 2 tacos, coffee de la olla, extra salsa, a side of cabbage, and got out of there for under $13 before tip. Their plates top out at $24 for the decadent dishes, but most mains and combos are in the $16-$19 range. I'm a habitual over-eater so always clean my plate, but many folks were leaving with leftovers. I ordered steak and eggs this morning with extras and coffee for $22 before tip. Unheard of these days, but a highly appreciated cost to meal value! On to the food, starting with salsa. Simple-done-well is my take away for everything at Sed, including their fantastic red and green salsas. Red is tomato roasty, a bit tangy, and decently spicy, with red chili driving the flavor. If spicy isn't your thing, go easy on this, but don't miss out as it really enhances the flavor of the food. Green is bright, tangy from tomatillo and citrus, a bit herbaceous, and medium spicy. A green salsa should, IMO, lift the flavor of a rich dish, and this salsa does. The spice level is medium, with the Serrano and/or jalapeño chili providing enough heat to feel authentic. You can pick your salsa direction, but for me, these two salsas complement each other...or maybe I just can't ever decide This morning I ordered steak and eggs. I ordered sides of home made corn tortillas, pico de gallo, and shredded cabbage as is my habit. Often at a Mexican restaurant, the breakfast steak is tough and only seasoned by the sauce or salsa. Not so here. The steak was beautifully seasoned, tasting of citrus, herbs, aromatics, and the right amount of salt (I'd guess it was marinated for a good long while), then cooked to perfect medium rare (my request) with crispy bits at the ends. The steak was sliced for plating along side two sunny side up eggs that also had crispy edges, and served with 1/2 an avocado, cilantro, and pickled red onion. The pico de gallo looked freshly prepared with a good mix of tomato, onion, cilantro, jalapeño (without seeds so not spicy), and some lime. The shredded cabbage, typically raw and unseasoned, had some pico on it and maybe some lime. An extra nice touch for my breakfast veg. The tortillas were thick, hot, and a delicious accompaniment to this dish for stuffing, sopping, or both. It was SO good! I thought I would miss beans and rice because they are often served with this dish in other restaurants, but I did not. The $18 price point was the biggest surprise as they could have easily charged well over $20 for this dish. On past visits I've enjoyed à la cart tacos with Al pastor, asada, and chicken. Each protein was delicious, with the Al pastor shining brightest for me. This version of Al pastor was not as orange as is typical, but because of the crispy edges from the grill and a fantastic marinade, it is one of my favorite versions. The asada and chicken were both very flavorful and tender. Noticeable about these tacos is how hearty they are. Served in their awesome, house-made tortillas, filled with meat, topped with cilantro and chopped red onion, served with sliced radish and lime. These are some of my favorite tacos and as a So Cal native, I've been eating soft tacos for decades. I recommend topping with shredded cabbage and salsa for the perfect bite. While I am not vegan or vegetarian I often eat with friends and family with these diets. There are options to accommodate, including huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, vegan chorizo dishes, and more. This casual dining spot has captured my foodie heart. The menu isn't extensive, but it has a good variety of creative and familiar dishes to satisfy any palate. I can't recommend Sed Cocina highly enough and hope others will give this spot a try.
