First off the ambiance is great if u like to watch sports while eating as they have big screens on each wall. I had the shredded beef and chicken tacos they were deliciously made. My friend had the carne asada and shrimp burrito I think I ate as much of her food as I ate of mine. I think this place has potential. I came for breakfast and the portion is big and I appreciate that it matches pricing. I liked their chips and salsa; first time was more of a mocajete type salsa and the second time was probably made in a blender. Both salsas were spicy and tasty. I thought the restaurant was nice and clean even the restrooms. Excellent customer service. When I came my second time it was for dinner. I had the shrimp burrito; I was so hungry I forgot to take a before photo. It was good but maybe I'll ask for it wet next time. Their rice and beans for the bill so I think I'd get another burrito. Our order overall lacked total flavor, I ordered the Ranchera y Camarones while my wife ordered the Enchiladas Dos Mundos. My Wife told me her order tasted like microwave food and had to cut her enchiladas with a knife because it was hard and didn't even finish her last enchilada, disgusted. Where to begin. The waitress we had was nice enough, she tried to accommodate for the food being not what it looked like in the menu . Ordered the grilled fish tacos which was chunks of cod not seasoned with a quarter Avocado slapped on top . I asked the waitresses if I can get them Baja style (iykyk) and when she brought them back it was with a bunch of wet lettuce and some strange cheese on top . So I changed my order to two tacos dorados 1 chicken 1beef both had no flavor and the chicken taco barley had a teaspoon chicken in it . My wife got a shrimp cocktail of some sort with fish ceviche on the side which was big chunks of cod , definitely not any traditional style or anything I've experienced. My daughter had some decent Quesabirria tacos . And they are charging $22+ a plate and $8.50 for a draft beer 12oz . Another waiter walked by and asked if everything taste good , I gave him a look shook my head and said no and he laughed and agreed. The men's restroom had no soap in the restroom and I'm sure the people who had cleaned the restroom earlier that day had to notice because it was past 6 at night . I been saw this place down the street from where I live and to be honest in Upland there is very little good Mexican food restaurants. Wanted to try to see how this one would be. The menu is your typical eggs, hash brown and a big selection of seafood. We ordered the steak and eggs they were good and the serving size was great. I decided give the seafood a try, so I tried the shrimp tacos, they had "grilled" and breaded ordered one of each. For the breaded, they taste like the store bought ones with cabbage and queso fresco. Was not thrilled with them For the grilled, biggest disappointment, seems like the shrimp was boiled first then place on the grill, they were dry and bland no flavor. The thing that was interesting is that the both tacos had cheese between the tortillas which for me is not something I would not want, so would prefer to be asked if wanted. The service was good. We stopped in for breakfast on a Friday am. Was sketchy at first cuz they had no one to greet you at the front. We could see there was no one in the kitchen either. We started walking back towards the dining room where we could we one table was sat and the server was attending to. He told us to sit where we wanted. Husband had the chilaquiles con Steak...he loved it. Hubby said the steak was flavorful and juicy. I tasted it and can vouch for that. I had the chicken fried steak. D-lish. Came with more than enough gravy. Meat was perfectly crispy, and also juicy and flavorful as well. They had just gotten their liquor license but the bar wasn't ready yet.
