I love this place! I found this family-run gem tucked away in the corner of a strip center, so easy to overlook. I'm so glad I noticed the sign on Grand, just east of 107th Ave. The food is delicious and addictive! I've been coming here for a couple of months now--often several days in a row--and I've had nothing but great food and great experiences! And it's not just the food, either. The service is always pleasant and personable. I think just about every person working there has taken the time to learn my name and my special requests. One time an order wasn't entered properly, and the cook--having greeted me when I came in--knew it wasn't what I often ordered, and so checked with me to make sure she got it right. That's service! This place was fire!! My whole party of 5 felt like this was one of the best taco places we've ever been to. We got the asada loaded fries added chipotle sauce, shrimp tacos, birria tacos with broth and the green chili taco. The homemade salsas were amazing, loved the pineapple salsa. The flavor of the meat was really good, and not bland like most taco shops. We also got the pineapple lemonade, and it was sooo yummy!! We wished we would have taken pictures, but we completely forgot and it was devoured so fast. The family who owns it was adorable! Stopped in about 30 minutes before closing on a Monday. We are from East Mesa and visiting someone at the nearby hospital and it was nice to find something that wasn't a chain. The owner (?) was very friendly and hooked us up with a taste before we ordered some burritos. Super flavorful meats! We already have it on our list to revisit when we go back to visit next week. I heard great reviews about this place and was eager to try it. My mouth was ready for carne asada tacos. We went here on a Saturday for lunch. When we ordered, we were told they had only chicken. We were starving, so we went with the chicken. Bummer, when I wanted carne. The cook told her son she didn't make sauce, so no enchiladas. It was limited to what we could order and it was only noon. They list a variety of lemonades, however, they had only the strawberry and cucumber, when I was looking forward to try the blueberry. I ordered a plate which came with rice and beans, but they were out of rice, so I got two servings of beans. The beans were very good though. The tostada was ok. The chicken burrito was good but got soggy quickly. I was frustrated that it was only noon and this place of business was out of carne, enchiladas, rice and other lemonades. The young man at the register does a great job. I assume he is the son. This place just needs better planning and should not be out of this many items at noon. First time I went I tried the asada, pastor, barbacoa and birria. All of it was fantastic. This time ordered 2 shrimp and 2 barbacoa tacos. (I wanted pastor but they ran out. That's a good sign when a restaurant runs out because the food is so good). The shrimp taco has lettuce, tomato and cabbage, bacon and chipotle sauce. Delicious. Barbacoa with cheese taco. Delicious. The salsas. Hot but delicious. The food is fresh and made with quality ingredients. Oh and the lemonade so good! Cucumber mint, strawberry, and blueberry are the three flavors I've tried and I love them. The owners are really friendly too, and the place is really clean. Highly recommend! I just returned home from a delicious authentic Mexican dinner. La comida fue excelente. The food was excellent. My husband had the carne asada burrito and I had their specialty shrimp taco with toppings and an al pastor taco with fresh homemade spicy pineapple salsa and cucumber mint limonada (all homemade daily). This restaurant is family owned and operated with pride in what they're providing.The restaurant is clean and neat and very welcoming. My only disappointment was I couldn't try everything on the menu. I had to remind myself, I can come back. It's definitely worth the 25 minute drive from home. I can't wait for tomorrow when I'll have room to eat the burrito I ended up buying to take home. The owner gave me another cucumber lemonade to enjoy as well. We wound up ordering nachos. The majority of the chips were on the bottom and trying to get to them with some fixings on them was a difficult task. But I would definitely not recommend coming here service was to slow and and the cooks were taking way to long orders where not made as they were taken other people that had ordered after me where getting there food first.
