Been here before and after the renovation. The Dosas are always delightful and delicious. Ordered Pani puri, Dahi puri, Masala dosa and Cheddar cheese dosa. I miss the old place but, I'll definitely be back for my dosa fix.

. Came with a group of friends to try this place because they're known for their Dosa. Place was kinda empty when we went on a weekday but definitely a place where you can bring a large party. We got a variety of dosa, entrees, dessert and overall, everything was just okay. The potato filled dosa (rava dosa) was better than the original dosa. The sauces that came with it was pretty light, not too spiced as I was hoping. The soya dish we got was good. But overall it was kind of lacking flavor or spice compare to other India food I've had.

SERVICE - located in Jackson Heights - well decorated interior but the ambiance feels casual and family friendly - servers are polite though not very friendly - food served relatively quickly - indoor seating available for small or larger parties - no wait on a weekend afternoon MENU - wide array of north and South Indian dishes - vegan and vegetarian options - average price FOOD - mysore masala dosa (6/10): dosa spread with spicy chutney and filled with potato masala served with sambar and coconut chutney. This was just okay, not spectacular. The mysore chutney was marketed as spicy but did not have a strong chili punch. The potato was cooked well though it is hard to mess up a masala. The sambar and coconut chutney that it came with were average. The portion was a good size for one person to finish. WOULD I GO BACK? Not likely.

This upscale restaurant serves dosa and other related items like idli and vada. The ambiance is cozy with low lighting, but the tables are placed so close together that you can overhear conversations from the party next to you, which is a major privacy concern. The service was also lacking. Our waiter brought us the bill even before all our food had been served. It felt like they were trying to rush us out of the restaurant as quickly as possible, which is not the kind of service you expect from an upscale establishment. Overall, I don't think this place is worth the price. The dosas were mediocre, and the service was poor. I had better dosas at other smaller restaurants.

A go-to spot for dosa lovers in Queens! Dosa Delight lives up to its name -- especially if you're here for the dosas. We tried the Special Rava Dosa and Pondicherry dosa, and it was hands down the best dosa I've had in New York. Crispy, flavorful, and just the right spice level -- 10/10. The Burnt Garlic Fried Rice was solid, with a great smoky kick -- 8/10. The Chilli Paneer Dry was tasty too -- not overly sweet or saucy, and actually quite close to the Indo-Chinese flavors you'd get back in India -- 7/10. We also had the Dahi Puri, which was fine -- nothing to rave about, but if you're into sweet chaat, it's a safe bet -- 6/10. The vibe here is simple and unpretentious. Service is friendly, quick, and no-nonsense. You're here for the food, not a fine-dining experience -- and that's exactly what they deliver. Go, eat, enjoy -- but don't expect a lot more. Perfect for a casual meal that hits the right spots.

I've had Dosa Delight saved for a while, and finally made my way to Queens to give it a try. Plenty of seating and no wait at all on a Sunday afternoon. The dosas are giant, but the batter is light and crispy as a good dosa usually is. The menu is long - but I went with classic masala and found the potato filling to be flavorful, and chutney and sambar were like most I've tried. I was also interested in trying the gobi machurian as it's one of my favorite foods, but they didn't quite hit the mark on this. Granted, it's not what they're known for, but the cauliflower wasn't crispy enough, sauce didn't hit the mark and it was a bit smaller of a serving than I expected. Definitely come for dosa, but don't know if it's worth venturing to other parts of the menu given the other options in the area for South Asian dishes.

Tremendous place. A must if you're in the neighborhood. Dosa Delight is a great vegetarian Indian restaurant specializing in --- as you might have guessed --- dosa. Their dosa is massive, thin, and delicious. There are a ton of variations and plenty of sauces. My absolute go-to is the Chilli Paneer Masala Dosa. Afterwards, I'll have a chai. The interaction of flavors is incredible. Aside from the food (which is very considerately priced), the service is pretty spot on. The place is small enough that as soon as you pick your head up to look for someone, they're practically at your table already. Food gets to you pretty quick, so if you go hungry, it won't be an issue. It can get a bit busy during dinner, but we've never had any problems getting a table. If you're in the mood for something non-veg, you might consider going to their sister restaurant Red Chilli. It's a bit more upscale. I've been doing to Dosa Delight for over 10 years. It's been consistently great and one of the few places I feel completely comfortable inviting folks to eat at.

Place is nice inside. My experience was for takeout only. I tried their veggie spring rolls and samosas. Both were excellent, I'd take 14 samosas if I could. Filled with soft potato and peas and the sauce it comes with, chutney and a green spiced sauce was the cherry on top. I'd definitely come back. Great spot for vegetarians.

Been here a handful of times and the food takes a while but overall it's tasty and consistent. The dosa is crisp, and the sambar, and chutney complement it really well. Service is so so here and it can get rather busy pretty fast. As a group we ordered the vegetarian masala dosa, palak paneer, and the vegetarian Hakka noodles. Everything is spiced nicely, all really shareable and good portions.

Great flavor and giant crispy dosas. Great to visit for the dosas in particular. Many of the other items are on par with other spots, or slightly underwhelming such as the paneer kathi roll and aloo gobi. Lots of good vegetarian options as with most Indian spots. Would return to try their Chinese fusion menu. Service was ok, at times odd and was strange that one of the servers was taking a photo of the diners in the dining room near closing.

I was super excited to try Dosa Delight because this is such a Jackson Heights classic and the dosas are humongous. We came on a weekend and the wait was supposed to be 10-15 minutes but we were actually seated immediately because they flipped a 2-person table sideways to squish 3 people which I thought was actually pretty smart. - Mango Lassi - I felt like this lassi's color was way more orange than the usual yellow color, but regardless, the lassi was delicious. I couldn't get over the mango taste of it and I wish they had more of the drink itself rather than the ice. - Masala Dosa - When the dosa arrived, we were all incredibly shocked by how big it was. I think this is the largest dosa/bread I have ever served to me. I love how many different textures the dosa had from incredibly crispy to slightly sour flavors. I also really enjoyed the sauces that went along with it, especially the spicy chutney that had bell peppers inside. - Pondicherry Dosa - I thought this was essentially the same thing as the Masala Dosa except they wrapped the potato mixture which there was way more of. I would order one or the other if I were to come back again. Honestly, each thing felt like it could be a whole meal alone. Overall, a great meal and would definitely come back for that humongous dosa again.

A solid Indian spot tucked into the Main Street in Jackson Heights -- stopped by as part of a food crawl and got a dosa to share. The dosa was yummy, but a bit too crispy... which is usually a great thing, but it was just hard to pick up any chutneys without it crumbling. The masala was FIRE, would definitely opt for a masala dosa! Skip the chai... too milky slash watery. Overall good experience, would come back!

I recently tried Dosa Delight for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. We ordered a massive paper dosa, a flavorful Pondicherry dosa, and a traditional Indian dessert (Moong Dal Halwa). It was a satisfying vegetarian meal overall. The dosas were served with a couple of accompaniments--one appeared to be a cucumber-based dip and the other resembled a light soup. While everything was tasty, some of the dishes were a bit on the salty side, and I found myself needing a lot of water afterward. The atmosphere felt authentic and welcoming, with a steady stream of local diners throughout our visit. It's also a good spot for larger groups. While we were there, they were preparing to accommodate a party of ten in the section we had just finished dining in. A little advance notice seems to help if you're planning to come with a big group.

Don't come here for the service, you will be greatly disappointed. I have inevitably ALWAYS been disappointed by the server wearing sneakers all of the time. Also, it doesn't help that their chef is impatient and practically kills the bell every time a dish is ready.....super annoying! This place is extremely affordable! Come here for the Dosas for the price! Specifically, come here for the "Masala Dosas"! They have amazing Southern & Northern Indian and street food as well. I love their puri bhaji, which is a potato kind of curry with puffed Indian bread. I also usually get the Mysore Masala Dosa, my favorite stuffings for a Dosa. I cannot attest to their curries because I have yet to try them. But Dosas are the best here, I mean after all, it IS part of their name! For dessert, don't forget the Falooda and Rose Lassi, much better than the other desserts! read more

My bf and I went to Dosa Delight. We went on a Sunday afternoon, Parking is a pain but it was worth it. We had a groupon for a dinner for 4. I read some reviews from Yelp and was a little nervous but the gentlemen and our waitress were very very good. I didn't get her name. She was patient and explained everything and made suggestions. Great service. Very deceiving from the outside. Pretty nice size and clean on the inside. We had the spring rolls and samosa's. The rolls were fantastic. 3 were just enough. The ketchup like sauce was good with them. The Samosa was good but the spice catches you off guard. The cilantro sauce was amazing. For our entrees we had the Thali with Roti and it had a lot of different sauces and the rice was great. The pickles were spicy. We also had the butter dosa, Huge, we couldn't eat it all but it was okay. Then for dessert we had rice pudding, Yummm and Milk and honey balls. Super yumm. Oh and I had the fresh lime soda, very tasty. read more

Lunch on a rainy Wednsday, mid-February. Soothing atmosphere, that respects its guests while letting them cosily slip away from the outside world, into the banquettes on both sides of the restaurant. Got the sambar soup - warming, spicy, nose-running goodness - and the paper dosa, which was a reasonable size and came with 3 chutneys: tomato, coconut and one that I forgot, but which was good because I ate it all. These were good chutneys. Came with a little caddy of 4 chutneys, inlcluding the typical (and delicious) minty one, and one that I have no idea what it was, but was slightly gritty and red and had some sort of spicy oil as a binder. Really liked that one. Friendly service, otherwise no remarks. Would I go back? Most definitely. read more

Wow, I stopped by here on my way to Citi Field. This is my first adventure into queens and boy oh boy do I have to go back. First of all Jackson heights is incredible. There are tons of fresh vegetables all over the place. Everyone is at least 5 shades darker than me and I didn't hear anyone speaking English. I saw many ceremonial garbs and very long beards. It was like I took the 7 train to another continent. That aside, I stopped in at Dosa Delight and I've never been anywhere like this. I used to eat a lot of Indian food when I was vegetarian but not vegan. However, I stopped eating Indian food after deciding to kick the milk because Ghee is so prevalent in the cooking. However, probably half of Dosa Delight is Vegan and they have many Jain options. I don't eat Jain but I am fascinated by their decision to avoid root vegetables. This food must be from a different section of India because they have stuff I've never seen or heard of before. They make these super huge savory crepes made out of fermented lentils. I had a more 'pancake' looking dish called an Uttapam. They cooked mushrooms onions (I didn't order a Jain version) and peppers right into the uttapam. It came with two dips (and the traditional 3 chutneys). One of the dips was a gravy like substance that I didn't like but the other one was a coconut crème type dip that was da bomb. I tried to order some mango juice but they were out. my buddy I was with ordered a taj mahal beer, it smelled like Budweiser to me so IDK. All in all I think this place is the bomb. It's naturally Vegan food and a different sort of indian cuisine I've never had in all my years eating vegan food. There are no parenthesis anywhere on the menu. Also the neighborhood in Jackson Heights is one of a kind. I plan to be coming here many times in the future. Also, I really enjoyed the Mets whooping up on the Phillies so we have to keep that mojo going for the next Mets home game. read more

OMG, just... yes! The chaat here is one of the best things i've ever tasted, and the dosas are ridiculous. Crispy, spicy, filling, fresh as a baby's bottom. But much greasier. :) The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I always leave with a case of the greaseballs and have to go straight to bed, but man it's so worth it. read more

I've been here a couple of times and honestly, Dosa Delight never disappoints. We always only order their Rava or Pondicherry masala dosas with hot chutney and spicy potato inside because they are fantastic. The idli and vada is average. Prices are perfect and portions pretty large for most average eaters. Raj, the server we usually interact with, is very pleasant. Haven't tried any of the North Indian preparations but they seem equally or more popular from what I can see on other tables ;) Usually packed on weekends. Oh and also, great falooda and lassis. read more

The spicy dosa #12 was excellent. Went there for lunch, and really enjoyed the food. The vibe is relaxed, and the prices are really affordable. Special bonus: free Indian chai, coffee, or can of soda with many meals. Very friendly customers made for a comfortable and fun setting. Service was good. Recommend. read more

I've been here a few times throughout the year. Last time was yesterday. Super busy on weekends. Dosa are wonderfully light where they need to be and hearty on the inside. Seasoning is spot on. Waitstaff kind if not a bit rushing us to order but was for our own good! Prices have gone up but that is to be expected. Jackson heights is fully in the know now, unlike 10 yrs ago. Check this veg southern Indian spot out, you won't regret it. Chaat to dosa yummm! read more

Been going there for almost 10 years now ... Waiters changed ...customers changed but food is still same . Last time I was there on Saturday 09/19/2015 . I was there with my family and as always it was packed with customers and take outs . luckily we got the table in 2 minutes and someone took our order. We ordered two combos and papdi chat for appetizers and ordered masala dosa , cheese dosa , rava maysur masala and onion tomato uttapam. Food took liltle longer to arrive especially uttapam but no complaints about taste ... Still same , rava maysur masala was excellent as always and same for every item we ordered . looking forward to visit there soon as its only 15 mins driving distance from my house . Just one thing for owner : please hire more waiters (staff ) for weekends ..your place is getting popular day by day so please provide best service and keep it up ..... Five stars to you guys !! I went for a late lunch/early dinner and service wasn't the best. I went alone and the waiter gave me a table and never bothered to give me a menu. He kept walking around to all the other tables and kept ignoring me. I waited long enough and finally had to get their attention and tell them I need a menu to order. So service wasn't the best. The food was good. I got a masala dosa and pav bhaji. It was good and this place gives you different side chutneys. A little oily so not the best masala I have had. The floor was dirty and not clean. I had to constantly ask to get my water refilled and still I felt the waiter was helping other tables and not mines. read more

Great dosas. Quite authentic. I have had some awesome ones in Bangalore and these come very close to the flavor and taste of the ones there. Met the owner. Very chill and friendly person. We discussed films and food. Had a great time. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood. read more

I use to come to dosa delight all the time. And I mean alllll the time. Even though there were a few times the server forgot about our table when I came with friends or never came to ask for our order. The food was always good so i came back. One day I ordered Pakora and dosas for me and a friend who lives literally right next door to dosa delight. When I opened it up and bit into it it was old paneer. Fellow Indians will know exactly what i am talking about it was old and hard inside. It was so disgusting I spit it out instantly. After this the dosas were subpar but I was too disgusted with the old paneer to even eat them. Mind you I ordered vegetable pakoras not paneer pakoras but I was willing to over look it because all their food is good. So like i said i come here all the time and i took the food back expecting them to provide good customer service. The woman at the front was so outraged that I brought back the food. She made me explain myself stupidly for five minutes and then didn't even ask to see the paneer which she would have seen is clearly old. I was super nice and respectful then she started basically yelling and disrespecting me and she brought another worker and told him what I said. She even suggested I go in the kitchen and see how they make the food fresh. I would never complain unless something is very bad about to food or service, I always respect workers because I believe the situation can be approached with respect and kindness. Nevertheless the way she reacted was so shocking that I hardly had the words to defend myself. She told me it reflected poorly on me ? And that I should feel bad this food is going to waste. I'm sure she herself would not have been able to consume that paneer which days old and refried more than once. She actually acknowledged that I go there all the time because shes seen me and she said I should be ashamed to throw away this good food. Finally after a good 10 mins or so of going back and forth she agreed to give me my money back instead of even offering to give me fresh pakoras. When she gave me my money back she kept bickering and told me to take that food from her face and throw it out outside because she did not want to see it. I feel she would not have reacted this was if it was an adult, but since I am 21 and look fairly young she went full auntie meltdown on me. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. Once again the food is good just hope they dont give you any old food because auntie will make you eat it or yell at you for wasting food like your her child not a customer. read more

Last Friday, my friend and I visited for the first time because we had a Groupon. The restaurant was relatively full, and seems a bit understaffed since the owners were taking orders (which I don't often see at most dining establishments), seems they only had 2 waiters waiting on tables. The menu has a lot of options, different kinds of dosas and regular Indian entrees and appetizers (ALL vegetarian or vegan) but the food wasn't that great. Prices were average for the area (many dishes are under $10). Anyway, my friend ordered veg biryani and I ordered the thali. The biryani came out within 10 min but I waited over 20 min for my thali. I expected most of the items from the thali to be premade/ready. Customers who came after us got their order first, so not sure why it took so long. The bhindi masala from my thali was very mushy and salty; the rest of the dishes from the thali weren't that great either. Biryani was okay taste wise but portion was somewhat small (see pics). The best item we ordered was the mango lassi; it was cold (despite not being watered down by ice so we didn't feel ripped off). I probably wouldn't come here again since the area has better options for the same price point. read more

Love the food! I don't even realize that its vegetarian (was a hardcore meat eater) most dishes come out readily quick. Their beer is priced really well. My faves are the muligatawny soup, the poori baji. Their Samosas ARE HUUUUUUGE! Vegetable vindaloo is also my go to dish. only downsides is that some people that come in are prissy, and sometimes people come with their kids (screming) aside from that fresh food, fast service, and Every dish I've tried is a hit. read more

First time dining here. Sat outside because of COVID things. Service was a tad slow but given the pandemic there are a lot worse things to worry about. Samosa, masala dosa and vegetable biryani were all excellent. The biryani was a lot and ended up taking the rest home. Eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. Not in Woodside very much, but if I find myself back in the neighborhood I'm definitely going to stop here again. read more

We were just passing by and decided to try this place. The tables were almost full and the ambience was clean and simple. We instantly ordered a Pondicherry dosa which was brought quickly, the dosa was smeared with garlicky chilli paste and stuffed with potato masala which was flavorful. The coconut chutney was awesome and reminded of flavors back in India. The sambar was okay not on par with the South Indian restaurants. But overall the experience was good because of flavorful dosa and chutney. They also have many diabetic friendly and gluten free healthy options to choose from. Definitely recommend! read more

I cant say enough good things about this place. BEST DOSA IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD! Service is friendly. Prices are great. Some of the entrees are in the so-so realm, but no real duds on the menu. Some of the best Chaats I've had as well, but again, the real draw here is the dosas. Just keep in mind, service can be slow. That being said, thats pretty standard for most restaurants of this type, so I'm aware of that coming in. Dont come here if you're in a rush. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy. read more

We also had to flag down service to get our water refilled. Once done, you walk up to the front to pay your bill. Again, they honored my online payment and so we only paid the second dish we ordered dining in. Goat Momo Johl (4/5): I liked the doughiness of the outer momo and then the inside a little more bland that I would like. However, the sauce was very flavorful and spiced. First, it was very hot that day, and the back of the main room didn't have an air conditioner that was working properly. Second, while the servers were friendly, there were service issues, including a couple of dishes not being what we ordered, and one dish being very late. The former was even more annoying as the waitress repeated back what I had ordered. In terms of drinks, I got a butter tea regardless of the heat, as well as a Diet Coke later, and we got some food soon. From the appetizers, we quickly got our two orders of their Sel Roti, a rice doughnut with a spicy dipping sauce, which were $2 each. I have had this before in a couple of other Nepali spots, and by comparison, these were larger and a bit more oily. The texture was crispy and soft with a bit of pleasant sweetness. I would personally recommend one for every four people or so. There were also two orders of the alright $6 Bhatmas Sadeko, or marinated soybean salad with spices, onion, green chili, garlic, and a bit of lemon juice. This had a fun, crunchy texture and a nice spicy aftertaste, but the flavor was only OK overall. The favorite of the appetizers was their excellent take on Laphing, or spicy cold noodles made from mung beans. For $7, this came out to $1 per piece. The chewy texture of the mung bean paired wonderfully with the filling consisting of wai wai, a crunchy instant noodle, and a mix of herbs. This dish had a good kick as well. Next came all the momo. In general, they were plump with a soft texture on the outside and were generously filled, and I can see very easily why they've won the momo crawl year after year. The first momo that arrived was the Beef Chili Momo for $13, which was a mistake as I had asked for the standard steamed version. Regardless, I liked the chili version, which had a bit of spiciness and some sweetness. I would say, though, that I prefer the chili momo from Kasthmandap, which has even more depth of flavor. My favorite of the bunch, and our favorite dish of the night, was the Paneer Jhol Momo for $12. The broth was wonderfully complex, and the soft, crumbly paneer inside was delicious. I would highly recommend these either in paneer or other forms. Last were the $13 Shrimp Kothay Momo, with "kothay" meaning pan-fried. These resembled and tasted closest to an overly large pot-sticker and were tasty, but our least favorite. This dish had another service issue, as the inside was very likely not shrimp, as it resembled a large meatball. We otherwise mostly got Nepalese BBQ, which was a mixed bag, with one of the dishes being one of the best of the night, while we disliked the others. Best of the bunch was easily the $18 Beef Sukuti, listed as homemade jerky made from lean meat, slowly dried to lock in flavor. This was one of the best versions of this dish I've had, with the beef having a wonderful mix of dry and soft textures. I would recommend this heavily. The other 2 BBQ dishes were served similarly and were easily our least favorite things. The dishes were the $18 Duck Sekuwa and the $19 Goat Hyakula, and both were served similarly with some beaten rice, pickles, and some more of the sauce which came with the sel roti. While some pieces of each of them were flavorful, albeit dry, others were composed virtually entirely of fat. We disliked the texture overall, with a slight preference from the group going to the sekuwa. Last was the Egg Chowmein for $12, listed as stir-fried noodles with protein, Nepali vegetables, and spices. This dish was taking a very long time to come out, and I eventually asked as everyone was getting hot whether it was ready, and our waitress asked if we wanted it to stay or to go, and that it would take another 10 minutes. A good 20 minutes later, the very large portion arrived. Outside of the hassle, the flavors were decent, and the noodles had a bit of wok hei. If I were to judge this place solely on the momo, the sukuti, and the laphing while ignoring service, I'd easily bump this place up. However, there were a couple of other dishes we disliked, and the service actively made our meal a bit worse by giving us the wrong food. If you can put up with these issues, I would still recommend this place.

I came here with my mother and my brother after a few months and It really upsets me to say that the quality of service has declined tremendously since. The moment we sat down, the waiter came up to us and asked us if we were ready - we hardly had a minute to look at the menu. They brought the appetizers and entrees out at the same time, and they didn't even give us any plates for the appetizers. While eating, the customer next to us was leaving. The waiter kept pacing back and forth next to her table until she was ready to leave which I thought was very rude and disruptive. He should have waited by the wall, register, or corner until she was ready to leave. I'm sure she was feeling rushed. Furthermore, when we ordered the appetizer they asked us if we wanted dessert -- that should come AFTER we've finished our entrees. Then, while clearing our table, the waiter was taking the glasses for water, which were empty because we never used them. He picked up the glasses and placed them in the tray with the dirty dishes. His lead waiter or manager or whatever stopped him and told him to put the glasses back on the table since they're "unused." I was mortified; he touched the rim of the glasses and everything and now the next customers are supposed to drink from them... He also filled the glasses/cups with water afterwards in front of us. The least they could have done was wash the glasses. There was also a tiny insect crawling on the table but it could have simply been a fruit fly or something that flew in from outdoors. I'm very much in shock -- the last time I came here the food was beyond amazing. Now it's just ok. I ordered the steamed dumplings and they were extremely sticky. They should have been served with some sort of dipping sauce. They only came with chili oil. If the waiters chit-chatted a bit less, received more training, and took their job a bit more seriously, this place can definitely become as great as it used to be. read more

I recently converted to plant based diet and thought of giving this place a go. So I arrive at this place and the server Anuj welcomes me to their lovely family run restaurant. I'm asked about the most minor of preferences so as to assure nothing goes unnoticed. I thought to myself wow what a great experience and impeccable attention to detail. After receiving my delicious, mouth watering food I couldn't wait to dig in. Each curry had my taste buds going and I was pleasantly surprised. You know the feeling where you feel full but the food is so good you don't want to stop eating. That's what happens to me every-time I come here. Combine that with delicious gulab jamun cake dessert. Excellent customer service. A positive staff attitude and openness to feedback and improvement (not that I had much to say here but good things). What more can I ask for...this place is the complete package and if you want some excellent tasting vegetarian Indian cuisine this is a place you must try. So what are you waiting for? I love this place so much, and often find myself craving them. I've brought many friends here who end up loving it as well. The clientele is mostly other Indian people, so you know it's good. They have a huge variety of food - I've been here several times and everything I've ordered was consistently delicious (and cheap). Foods comes out very quickly too! My favorites are the Pondicherry dosa (because it's hearty and has a great flavor and spice) and the paneer kathi roll (so tasty, and love the onions, peppers and sauce in it), in addition to their pani puri, samosa chaat, and pav bhaji. Nuj is the best waiter! He is super, super friendly and sweet, never makes you feel like you are bothering him, and just has overall good energy. One of the other waiters (don't know his name) always seems to be in a bad mood and has denied small requests I've made (like for sauces or for boxes to take home my food), which is a bit ridiculous. read more

I recently visited Dosa Delight in Jackson Heights, New York and was absolutely blown away by the incredible food and service! The dosas were some of the best I've ever had - crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The rest of the menu was equally impressive, with a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes to choose from. Dosa delight is a very very very good restaurant. We had paneer tikka masala, paper thin masala dosa, Mysore dosa and palak paneer, but with chana instead of the paneer-- Off the menu and really really good. We were having a conversation about something else when we sat down to eat which quickly turned into a discussion of how delicious everything was. The best Vegetarian Thali in the city. Value for money. Worth walking few blocks from Subway. A spicy Mysore Masala Dosa was outstanding. It had a layer of red chutney coated and stuffed with a potato mash. Also it came with genuine chutney, sambar & an assortment of south Indian chutney tray! The coffee was on the house with the Dosa. Me and my wife have tried many Indian places in this neighborhood but Dosa Place is simply the best. The food is fresh, full of flavor, without too much oil. They can make my wife's favorite oil-free Dosa. My favorite is vegetarian thali. Service is quick and the waiters are very polite.
