The highlight of a neighborhood food crawl! My friends and I only tried momos at this tiny but clean restaurant. We had the steamed chicken and fried beef momos-- both were fantastic. Flavorful, juicy, meaty, and with a meat-to-dough ratio that I prefer. Our friendly server explained that the dipping sauces (mayo based, and spicy) could be mixed, and I thought it was a nice touch. My friend also went to town on the chili sauce provided at the table. The beef momos are perfectly fried and their round shape makes them aesthetically pleasing, albeit a bit challenging to eat (be careful of the hot juices!). Surprisingly, I preferred the steamed chicken dumplings a bit more, but only because they were just THAT good. They're so good that I bought a bag of frozen dumplings to go. Om Wok serves traditional Tibetan dishes and not to mention, they were crowned the Winner of Momo Crawl in 2023! I've never had Steamed Beef Momos that were this large in size! The dough was fluffy and soft, the broth instead was so light yet rich, and the beef was well-seasoned and flavorful! They serve 2 sauces with it: the orange is less spicy while the red is spicy. Both were delicious and enhanced the flavors in each bite. I preferred the orange sauce because it was a bit more creamy. We also got the Beef Noodles which were savory, the noodles were nicely coated with all the flavors, and I liked the texture from the cabbage, carrots, and onions. Another very satisfying dish. Food 9/10 Those momos were so so juicy and BIG. I was shocked. I think this was the first time I've ever had momos, so I was in for a beautiful meal. Their friend momos were also good, but they were dumpling shaped rather than soup dumpling round shaped. Still good, but I preferred the steamed ones. Beware, their spice is truly spicy. We ordered the cold cucumber and also mung bean noodles, and both absolutely destroyed me in their explosive flavor but also deadly spice. My friend and I stopped in for lunch and ordered noddles with eggs, chili paneer, rice, and potato cheese spinach momos. We split all the food and had tons of leftovers to take home with us. My favorite was the momos, everything was delicious, but they were out of this world. They also gave you little sauces on the side that were so good and spicy that just added an extra bite to everything. If you didn't know, this place has been 2022 and 2023 Momo Crawl Winner, so that says something. Of course when my friends and I arrived, we knew we had to try the momos. At first a bit worried bc $10 seems a bit pricey for momos, but these were HUGE! The meat filling is really big and really flavorful and was also super juicy on the inside. The skin itself was not bad but some momos had quite a thick skin so some parts were quite doughy. This also came with a delicious spicy sauce that is actually really spicy and gives and extra punch of heat to the dish. Overall really impressed and totally understand why they'd been rated best momos in Jackson Heights! Had to wait 10 minutes for the momos, but at least you know it's made fresh. Every year-ish, there's this super cool festival called the Momo Crawl - where you can get momos at all participating restaurants for $1 each. We went 1-2 years back and saw gigantic lines outside the door of all of the most popular spots along Roosevelt Ave. The only reason we came HERE was because it was new, relatively unknown, and had zero line by their Momo table outside their restaurant. And because one of the event organizers suggested it as a well-kept secret compared to the other spots. Boy were they right. It was almost a mistake to start from this spot, for the Momo Crawl, because it's better BY FAR than any other spot in a 2-mile radius. Absolutely delicious, juicy, fresh momos for cheap prices (crawl or no crawl), with optional spicy sauce to add some kick to them. They come in steamed or fried options, either which are excellent. They won the Momo Crawl unsurprisingly, and I've come back several times since then. I'm tempted to go there just while writing this review, to be honest.
