Update- Been back a few times since my review and an upgrading to 5 stars. The dinner vibe is lively and friendly and completely different than the lunch vibe. The dosas are amazing. This time I tried the papadam and the Chole along with my coconut dosa, I loved it all. I want to go back every week and try each dosa!

Terrific food! We were so hungry when we came at the end of the night and all the food was great. I loved my Dosa World Thali, which had a little bit of everything. Dosa and uttapam were great and I loved the small almond halwa they give! The sambar was more thin and watery than I'm used to, but it was still good. Filter coffee was a great end to the meal. The staff was nice, just a little slow with menus/checks. I'm sure they're very busy on weekends especially, and for the quantity/amount of food they make for lots of people, I give them slack. Great food, great prices, and great atmosphere!

"This is authentic" - my Indian boyfriend LOL But in all honesty, the food was really good at this place! We went because we got a recommendation from one of our friends, and it was a successful dinner. The appetizer dishes were VERY spicy for someone who's not good at handling spices like me. My favorite dishes were Palak Paneer (my all time fav) + Onion Dosa. It was my first time having dosa, and it was amazing! Inside the store was very spacious, and felt way less Americanized (or very little) compared to other places, which I enjoyed. If you're able to, I would visit with someone who knows about the food, so you know what to get!

I ordered the South Indian Thali and the variety was ok but the quality of taste was mediocre at best. Nothing was recognizable to home cooked South Indian food, it's like someone from the North tried making South Indian food. [Also I didn't get a papadam or poori - MISSING ITEMS] I never even drank the Masala tea it went straight into the trash, they need to package their drinks better for delivery! Not just hand someone a coffee cup that can be tampered with.

Dosas are so underrated IMHO - they have everything you want, crunch, spice and are just full of flavor. Dosa World serves a full menu but we came primarily for the namesake dish. We got gobi manchurian and a few onion rava masala dosas and it was a pretty good meal. The gobi manchurian was pretty good - spicy but could have used some more tang. The dosas were great - crispy and spicy. The potato filling was perfectly spiced and the dipping sauces were a best complement. Service is friendly and prices are fair. Portions are a good size. Most definitely a good option if you're in the Hicksville area.

Probably my favorite dosa spot in Nassau, LI. Food is not too expensive, they serve good portion size, and is very tasty! Definitely give it a try if you are in the area! Side note: like most indian food places, my stomach didn't take it too well the next day. Don't get Dosa world if you got work/school the next day. Also, when you ask for spicy, they mean it. So just be careful with the spice level.

Last visit was great food this visit terrific food! On a rainy Friday around 9pm we visited and the place was empty. Bashar welcomed us and we ordered spots and mains. For Appy we once again had the Gobi Manchurian and a Samosa . For Maine I had Garlic Curry loaded with blanched cloves and Bon had a Dosa loaded with coconut, potatoes and Chile... All delicious and very substantial! We finished the meal with hot Chi Tea...a perfect ending...

Ordered on eats and got a tiny plastic box with half rice and half air. That's not even a portion size for a 4 year old. Pathetic!

To start, they "brownies" are not actual brownies. They are individual slices of cake. I didn't notice this 2 years ago but having it again last night, the Cadbury brownie tastes like a layered sheet cake made from box mix. The frosting on top wasn't too sweet, but certainly doesn't carry the richness of Cadbury chocolate. In a slice this simple, there's really no place to hide and paying that much for something that taste like it was battered out a box is not worth it in my opinion. The Dubai chocolate slice tasted better, but tbh, the Dubai chocolate cake from Costco not only tastes better but has a better price point! I was really excited to try their ice cream - I loved their flavor choices, but that's where my fondness pretty much stopped. The pints were pricey and taste super home made (not in a good way). The ice cream was hard and while it tasted like sweet cream, it was definitely not churned enough to carry a smooth texture. They pints were Van Leeuwen prices but the taste and texture was far from quality ice cream. In this case, I much rather pick up a pint of Hagen Daz, again much better price point and better quantity. The store is pretty but I won't be returning.

I ate into the one and found while there is a fresh strawberry on top the inside is gloppy with more like jelly strawberries inside. The whip cream is hard and not fluffy. Have not tried the other one yet. Perhaps other types will be better. Something else to note , the windows need shades or blinds. When the sun comes in everything in there gets hot . The credit card machine ( at 4% ) paper cost is very hard to see in the bright morning light. An update today, got my complementary cup cake today from many sport themed choices.
