I specifically hired movers to help me pack the pods securely. Should have used a different company. I contracted with Dose Moving to relocate our furniture from Scottsdale to East Mesa. Greg was the crew leader and from the get-go the crew was 100% polite. I was apprehensive based upon experience with a previous mover that was less than careful. I was so impressed that Dose used a moving blanket on each piece of furniture, then plastic wrapped and taped it. We had some collectible Indian art that is very delicate. They double wrapped it and were extra careful. Our previous mover gouged us for one hour to, and one hour from, travel time, PLUS added a 16% fuel surcharge. Dose did not add fuel surcharge and was much more reasonable in overall expense. I felt I received a very good value. Honestly I would highly recommend Dose to anyone needing a mover. Second time I've used this company and highly recommended to several people whose experiences were as great as mine!! This time I had C.J., Deshawn and Anthony R. to help me. All of them were professional, friendly and worked their fannies off even in this heat. They even helped me to hook up to the internet. Items were placed in the proper rooms at my direction. Anything I asked for, they did. Not one thing was broken and nothing was missing (except the items I actually forgot to pack). What more can I say? The cost was as expected and worth every penny of it. I would use them again in a heartbeat but since I'm getting up there in age I truly hope I never have to move again especially in the Arizona high temps! I've used many moving companies over the years, and have experienced everything from broken furniture to damaged flooring and banisters to the movers complaining about the move itself. Those experiences are behind me now; I am never using another moving company. I'll be a Dose customer for life! I cannot thank my moving team enough. Ricky, Jasper, and Alonzo were the absolute BEST. They were incredibly polite, and so professional. I've never had movers use "ma'am" so often before. Ricky was a new crew leader, but he didn't tell me until we were signing the paperwork after the move, and I never would have guessed! The guys walked my apartment and listened very carefully to what needed to be moved, and what needed to stay with my roommate's stuff. Everything was meticulously wrapped and packaged. Even my 75" TV, which I couldn't find a box for anywhere, made the trip in perfect condition. I don't know how they packed it, but there isn't a pixel out of place, and that's shocking to me after 30 minutes in the back of a truck of furniture! Did I mention Ricky, Jasper, and Alonzo were literally RUNNING to my apartment to bring more things to the truck? It was quite a long walk, but I expected walking! Nope. Not good enough for this crew. I don't know if they needed cardio alongside the weight lifting, but that's the impression I got. LOL. The guys that i had were so incredibly helpful, professional, and efficient. They made me feel like no request was too big or an inconvenience in any way. I used them for 2 trips and, unfortunately, the first time, they were quite late with minimal communication about their delay (1.5 hours). The second time, I was able to book them again on short notice and they were on time and ready to roll. I had the most horrible experience with this company. Do not recommend! They canceled in less than 24 hours notice and then another company moved me. Maralee said it would be the same price and I was charged more. When I called her she said that she would look into and get back to me. She never did and I left multiple messages and she did not get back to me. Two months later, I finally talked to the owner and he was extremely rude. This was the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. He flat out said he would not help me and he would not address the issue of his call center person not even responding to my messages. Please choose another company and warn your friends of these scammers and ugly human beings. Donte and his guys were fantastic! Not only do they know what they are doing, but they were very conscientious with our furniture. Ours was a crazy move in July no less. We had to hit both our storages in two different locations(one on Carefree Highway & 7th St, the other in Anthem) and then drive to Munds Park up in Northern AZ. These men are very polite and hardworking. We've hired many companies as we move often for work, etc. but Dose was by far the best and we will use them again. We did promise the guys we will never move the cement mosaic table again or the dining room table, but they didn't even blink and said "we got this". Yes that is 5 guys when we thought there would only be 3 so first plus there. They were on time and got right to work. They never stopped moving and were so friendly and polite. They did a 3 bedroom fully furnished house move in 5.5 hours. That includes drive time of 25 mins to new place. We had everything packed up for them so it was fast an efficient. They wrapped everything and handled with care. I don't plan on moving for a long time again but if I do I will call them and if anyone is ever moving I will recommend them. We were referred to Dose by our Realtor. They showed up on time, were very professional, worked very hard and very efficiently. They knew exactly how to load the truck properly. They packed up all of our wall paintings with care, using blankets to wrap each one in. They covered our mattress with a zipper cover to keep it pristine. Once they arrived at our new home they unloaded the truck in record time I believe! There was not one thing chipped or broken. We can't thank them enough for making our move easy, stress-free and dare I say, almost enjoyable? We have moved several times and, I can tell you that we have had many terrible experiences. This company has restored my faith in movers. They sent Bryce and Elliott to procure our move and both young men were absolutely fantastic!! I would request this team if they are available. Hired a 2 mover crew for my move a week ago: same building from one unit to another. The crew arrived early (called me first to ask if it was ok) they got started and finished all of the work in 1.5 hours. They were fast/ and did mostly everything. I gave them 4stars because I would loved that they left my kitchen a little more organized especially since all was done in 1.5 hours. I would have loved the last 30 mins used to help me more in my new place since I was paying for it regardless. Honestly not a big thing but a slight ding. I called at the last minute on a Sunday night and I was shocked that Marilee answered. On the spur of the moment move of my daughter I needed movers to load and unload all her things. My husband would be working and I would not be able to lift the heavy items. Marilee was beyond understanding and helped me get scheduled for the next day. Only moved 1.5 miles, but it doesn't really matter - still need to get everything moved! After doing previous moves ourselves, or with a "discount coupon mover" (which was a nightmare), we definitely wanted a quality mover because of large, awkward furniture, along with the difficulties of navigating a 2-story house. It's so hard to find a good one, with all of the ads and discount offers out there, so I started with Yelp. Dose showed up as #2, so I read some of the reviews, called them and ended up speaking with Marilee. I liked what I heard, so I got the move scheduled with $100 down. Dose delivered. The crew called ahead and was on-time, in a big, new truck, with a neat, polite and professional crew: Jim (crew leader), Victor, Thane and J.R. They worked non-stop, and very efficiently and hard, solving any issues, without anything being damaged. Everything was padded and wrapped thoroughly, and loaded/unloaded with care. Marilee had estimated 4-6 hours, and they finished in 5.5. The crew was a great group of guys, and completely knowledgeable and fun to work with. We needed a large, very heavy concrete table moved from a consignment store in Scottsdale to our home. We got an online quote from Dose and then contacted them by phone. The lady stated they could move the table and asked for more details on the item/move. We informed her it was a large, HEAVY concrete table that would take 4-6 men to move, AS THAT IS WHAT WAS USED BY 2 OTHER MOVERS TO MOVE THE TABLE WITHIN THE PAST YEAR. We informed her it weighed 800 - 1000 lbs and was 7' long by 18" wide. We told her they needed to take slings and 2" x 4" boards to use as lifting levers, as that is what previous movers had done. She said no problem, and when do we want it moved? We replied when can they move it? She replied HOW'S TOMORROW or FRIDAY? We chose "tomorrow", which was December 16th, 2021. She said they require a $100 deposit to hold the spot, which we paid with a credit card. She sent us a link to an app where we could watch the move progress. Dose showed up at the consignement store the next day at 09:00 and the app showed them being there for over an hour, not moving. So, we called Dose to see what was up. I didn't catch the name of the Fella I talked to, but the FIRST thing he said to me was "you were in a hurry to move this table, and as a result the whole thing was rushed." I said we we wern't in ANY hurry at all - WE SIMPLY CHOSE THE 1st TIME SLOT OFFERED TO US BY DOSE!!! He then informed me that they couldn't move it - they had sent a 4-man crew to the consignment store but that the table was far too heavy for their crew to lift, therefore simply just left WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING. I stated that the table had been moved TWICE within the last year - once by a 4 man crew and once by a 5 man crew. I asked him why THEY couldn't move it when 2 other companies had moved it previously and he stated that "You are lying - there was NO WAY that table was moved by 4 or 5 guys, and I found out that the consignment store had used a forklift to move the table". I couldn't believe he just called me a liar after personally witnessing it being moved from INSIDE one house to INSIDE another house and then from INSIDE that house to the consignment store's loading dock. I ASKED HOW HE THOUGHT SOMEONE WOULD GET A FORKLIFT INSIDE 2 SEPARATE HOUSES - he again said I was lying, it probably was never inside a house! Wow. Just wow. IN FACT, the ONLY reason the consigment store used a forklift is because THEY ARE NOT MOVERS and DO NOT have mover's in their employ to move such heavy items. ALL CONSIGMENT STORES have designated accounts with Moving Companies to move items in/out. Most DO NOT own a forklift. The table was ONLY moved with a forklift at the store when another client had hired a forklift to move a different large item. While I was on the phone with Dose, I noticed that our credit card had been charged for $462.80 by Dose - WE DID NOT APPROVE THIS CHARGE! I immediatley requested a full refund and he told me "sorry, I sent a 4 man crew to Stevan's and I have to pay them." I asked if it wasn't wise to send someone (one person) to go check a difficult move out (especially a challenging move like this) before accepting the work, he said no they don't. I again requested a refund, since Dose did absolutely NOTHING and WE DID NOT APPROVE THE CHARGE. He again refused. I informed him I would be filing a complaint with BBB and with my credit card company. He said he didn't care that he wasn't going to reverse the charge, for me to do whatever I wanted. As a result, I HAVE filed a complaint with the BBB, I HAVE contacted the credit card company requesting a refund for the deposit AND the charge that we did not approve. Both are in process. And I'm submitting reviews like this WHAT IS ADDTIONALLY REALLY HARD TO TAKE IS - I RENTED A TRAILER, A MOTOR HOIST AND 2 - 1000# DOLLIES AND I MOVED THE TABLE BY MYSELF IN UNDER 2 HOURS. I'M 59 YEARS OLD. Pictures attached for proof. Dose brags on their website how amzing they are, how great their BBB and other ratings are and the quality of work they do. Yet for my move - they couldn't think even 1% outside their "normal moving box" and come up with a solution for what I said from the start was a challenging move - they just threw up their hands, walked away, offered no solution, then ran up unauthorized charges on my credit card. C'mon, Dose, you brag how great you are, yet a 59 year old moved the table ALL BY MYSELF. You really should consider that for more than a moment before bragging any further about your quality of service. Reading previous negative reviews about Dose - I fully expect them to reply and try to discredit me somehow, to AGAIN call me a liar, and to attempt to paint me as the problem. I just hired a moving company to do a move, gave them all the details they requested and expected things to go smoothly, based on their self-promoted reputation. WHAT I GOT WAS RIPPED OFF. FYI the consigment store told me they WON'T use Dose for this very reason/situation. read more
