One of my favorite places to get Korean food. I usually get the spicy pork dosirak for myself, bulgogi bowl for the husband, and a few bulgogi kimbap to share with our son. The side dishes they sell are so much better than the ones from H Mart as well. It's perfect takeout food, food tastes good hot or cold and plenty of parking. The first time I came here I ended up having to make a u turn again in front of Kaiser because I didn't know how to get into the shopping center. Love this place! Their doshiraks (box set meals) are great! Meats are pretty good, my fave is spicy pork but the Bulgogi (beef) is surprisingly good too! Galbi (short rib) is also solid. They come with about five little side dishes for good variety, including (1) glass noodles (japchae) or rolled eggs, (2) usually Korean pancake or dumplings, and the rest are a good mixture of things like pickled radish, bean sprouts, seaweed, etc. The kimbap (rolls?) are also bomb! But they sell out really quick. Hopefully they'll start making more so they don't run out as fast. They also sell Korean side dishes if you want some for future meals, reminds me of a mini market they have along a wall. They are NOT for dining in, by the way. It's a to-go/takeout type of thing. Doshiraks take about 15-20 mins--call in before, so you can pick it up and zoom on out. Overall, would definitely recommend! read more

Got off work a bit later than usual and as a result did not have time to whip up a dinner. A quick Yelp search for grab and go food spots in the area led me to Dosirak Express! I've been to this shopping plaza plenty of times for a grocery run at Albertson's or picking up food at the other neighboring restaurants so I was familiar with where it was located. I only regret that I'm just discovering this place now! My first impression was how decently priced it was and my second was how generous the serving size was! With how much eating out costs these days it was definitely great to see a fair option out there. I ordered the spicy pork bibimbap with a size of dumplings and both were so delicious. The bibimbap was perfectly portioned to have just the right amount of rice to egg to veggies to meat and I loved having the gochujang on the side so I could spice it up to my preferred level. The dumplings were equally as delicious and clearly fresh and handmade. It had a yummy glass noodle and meat filling. Next time I want to try their kimbap! You can't go wrong with this place - service is quick, food is fresh and high quality, and it is the perfect choice for a grab and go meal. This parking lot has plenty of spots and there is lots of outdoor seating but if you must, there are also two little tables inside. Check out their fridges too (yummy banchan options like potato salad, cucumber kimchi, etc. as well as homemade soups that you can easily heat up on the stove!) read more

Great, quick, filling korean meal. Although there are a lot of Korean options in Irvine this area in particular is pretty sparse. Luckily, this place offers a good, solid option! Their boxed meals come with rice, delicious egg cake and great little bon chon (korean sides). We did the spicy pork and beef bulgolgi and were very satisfied. I tried dosirak for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised! I got a Bulgogi bowl, and there was a decent amount of food. The bowl is half salad and half rice/meat, so I'd go with the plate if that's not your thing. There was plenty of parking and the cashier was really sweet! We ordered at the restaurant and only had to wait about ten minutes to get our food. They have a bunch of fun drinks and sides that you can buy too. read more

I've purchased food from Dosirak Express for the last several years. Lately, it seems to me that they've made the bibimbap sweeter (which I dislike). The pancakes just tasted of flour (in the past, this was my favorite dish at Dosirak). Also, in the past, I saw more refrigerated dishes with clams or seafood. Now, I see primarily dishes with beef. I'd love to see Dosirak reduce the sugar in the food and include more seafood vs. beef. Also, on my most recent visit, the cashier stared at my receipt for a few minutes before handing it to me. I love this new place and It's so close to my house. I have been there few times now. My usual order is the Bulgogi plate with dumplings and the glass noodle. It tastes good and seems like good quality. The staff always seem really nice. I believe since they recently opened, they are working on stocking their fridge with goodies. Came here when they opened this week, and I've already gotten food here twice!! The salmon was SO tender and flavorful, and apparently the sides may change every day so there is always a new adventure? Not sure if that's just for their opening. The bulgogi was delicious!! So excited this place finally opened!!! One of my favorite korean food spots is the Dosirak location near Scholarship apartments and they finally opened a second one closer by! I ordered a bibimbap and it was just as delicious and pretty as the other location! Food is always fresh and if you order the bento boxes the side dishes change pretty often so you get to try a variety of Korean side dishes which taste amazing!!!
