Nice exterior. Self ordering option was easy to use and efficient. Bubble waffle was warm and tasty. Ice cream and toppings were perfectly sweet.

This ice cream shop is located in "Rodeo 72 public market" we came on a Friday night. It was busy, and parking was crazy. So it was a wait for the ice cream. But they had a dj, so great music while you waited. Table were first come first serve, so that took some time. But overall great experience. Ice cream cones are huge! Definitely shareable and super delicious. -Swirl vanilla and chocolate soft serve - Bubble waffle cone - Oreo cookie topping

If you're looking for a dessert spot that blends artesian crafted bubble waffles with delicious ice cream and amazing toppings, look no further than Double 3. This spot brings innovative creativity to ice cream, that isn't just a dessert but an amazing experience. The combination of various flavored bubble waffles, delicious soft serve ice cream in conjunction with an amazing array of topping makes the most incredible treat you'll ever had. In conclusion, Double 3 is a must visit when at Rodeo 72, it succeeded our expectation and completely satisfied our palates.

Really great dessert! It's not too sweet (the ultimate Asian dessert compliment) and you get a good amount of soft serve plus toppings. My friend and I shared one and we got an Oreo soft serve with the original waffle flavor. For toppings we got strawberries, a toasted marshmallow, and condensed milk for the syrup. This was a 10/10 and we would definitely come eat this again! We didn't have to wait that long but we came towards the end of the night (but there was still a line!) There's plenty of tables in the food hall but this place gets PACKED so if you come as a group it's best to conquer and divide to find seating.

Take a breath. It's worth the wait. Give yourself a treat and let them surprise you with their creation. There are many options to choose from, I went with the chocolate waffle l and chocolate soft serve with a few toppings. These were not only super delicious, they were work of art. My wife got the milk shake and she finished it before I could take a sip lol. If you want ice cream in two minutes or less, go to another shop. If you want an experience you won't forget, try Double 3. Mall itself has a nice cozy ambiance. This is now our favorite dessert spot in the area! 10/10

Came by on a Monday evening and it was quite slow/low crowds in general. Ordered a scoop of chocolate ice cream with marshmallows + a cone with toppings for $24. Order took roughly 10 mins as we were fortunate enough to order before the line formed. The ice cream melted pretty immediately. We chose to sit at a table right in front of the location. The second we sit, it's already melting and toppings falling off onto the table. Despite that, it was pretty good. Shareable serving, probably not worth $17+ for the one cone though. The waffle cone itself was very good.

Took me a few weeks to try since every time I went it was super busy with a long line. Guess it's a good sign, when I finally tried it I remember not being sure what to order but I went with a cone with a couple of different toppings. Felt it was kind of pricey, the ice-cream was OK, don't know if it was just the flavor I chose. I was excited for the waffle cone but it was pretty soggy. Wish it was more well done I was really hoping to like it more but it takes pretty pictures for the gram.

I don't like coconut so I wish they had a non-coconut dairy free vegan option. But my boyfriend got this ube soft serve he said it really tasted like coconut and he loved it.

I came here the first day it opened. There wasn't a long line, but it took about 30 minutes for them to fulfill two ice cream waffle cones. So I'm not judging because it was first day presentation was super cool but taste and everything else was pretty mid. Staff was friendly, and there's just something about having island looking people serve you your Hawaiian ice cream that gives it that authenticity. I think this is a cool spot to take your kid to for cool pictures and what kid doesn't like a unique ice cream? They are Hawaiian themed and that's a plus for me. I will be coming back with my kid during the summer for sure. Hopefully I don't have to wait 30min

New Ice cream spot in whittier located in "Rodeo 72." Service was about 15 mins not bad at all and well worth it. Ice cream was amazing the best part was the chocolate waffle cone will definitely get again. A good late night treat as they're open until 10pm on the weekend.

This place is a cool spot for dessert. There are lots of options for flavors and toppings. The waffle egg cone is made fresh and really crispy. The ice cream is a bit pricey I spent about $28 for two cones. However, it is a pretty big cone. If youre looking to get a quick dessert though, this isn't the place. You are going to wait a good 20-30 minutes. Even after I received my text that my ice cream was ready we waited another 8-10 minutes.

This was a nice spot especially Rodeo 72 in general, although, it is very tiny with no space to sit or enjoy. When speaking of Double 3 itself it can be frustrating if you want to speak to an employee because there were only two as far as I could see so they were working on orders in the back while the kiosks were up front for you to order on. This place is also very pricey. I ordered a Dubai chocolate ice cream for $15.50 and it was good but definitely not worth that price. May go back again to get a regular ice cream especially if it's a bit cheaper.

5/10/25 - Here, you customize your own bubble waffle ice cream combo. You pick the bubble waffle flavor and choose between soft serve or scoop ice cream. At the end, you choose two toppings and a syrup to be drizzled over. Personally I think the soft serve is the move! It is expensive coming out to $13. However, it tastes really good to the point that you forget that it costs that much. It's a good sweet treat for after whatever meal you're eating at the food hall!

I got an order of Spam Musubi and the beef bowl. Spam Musubi: Very basic. Can't go wrong if you want spam, rice and seaweed. This may all depends on a persons preference but the Musubi had TOO much rice to spam ratio. Although spam is salty, the rice overpowered it. There was very minimal sauce. Again, my own personal preference. FYI - don't be like me when I asked if they have a beef Musubi. I had to remind myself I was not at Ono's. Beer bowl was OK. It comes with veggies as well. The beef bowl I had was a little dry but flavors were there. Teriyaki sauce station looked a bit messy and dirty at my time of visit. They redid their menu which looks much better! One woman in particular (presumably a manager or long-time employee) was shockingly, aggressively rude in a way that's hard to overstate. She barked orders and accusations at customers with zero patience, yelling over trivial things that no reasonable person could possibly know or control. Her tone was dripping with contempt, her attitude unapologetically hostile, and her behavior screamed ignorance wrapped in unearned entitlement. Zero warmth, zero professionalism--just pure, unfiltered disdain for the very people paying her bills. No one should have to endure being treated like an inconvenience or an idiot just to eat decent barbecue. The food might be worth a try if you're willing to stomach verbal abuse, but for most of us, it's not. Her complete lack of basic decency and customer service skills makes this place actively unpleasant. I won't be back, and I can't in good conscience recommend it to anyone who values being treated like a human being. One star only because the ribs themselves don't deserve zero--but she absolutely does.

We made a special trip to Ono's because my son loves spam and rice. We ordered the spam & egg plate and requested to remove the egg and have a couple extra slices of spam instead. This has never before been a problem, as the staff had happily made this accommodation, since my son doesn't like eggs of any kind. It doesn't even say "no substitutions" anywhere on the menu. This time, however, the manager, Robert, said he could only remove the egg, but would not give us even one slice of spam extra, and that it would be full price. Mind you, this is a $15 plate, so he was saying we could have two (2) slices of Spam and some rice for $15. This had never been the case before, and I pointed that out. He wouldn't budge, and insisted I pay full price. In short, we walked out and went to the local L&L Hawaiian BBQ, which had the same exact portion size, substituted the egg without question for a total of five (5) slices of spam, and cost much less on top of it. In looking over other prices, Ono's is usually more expensive in every choice than L&L, so we'll just go to the Hawaii-originated L&L

I ordered the all-day hibachi with steak and fried rice, with a side of banana pancakes. The banana pancakes absolutely stole the show. They were hands down some of the best banana pancakes I've ever had. It's surprisingly difficult to find places that actually mix real banana pieces into the batter, but these did, and they were incredibly fluffy and practically melted in your mouth. I'll definitely be ordering them again. The fried rice was also really good and flavorful. The steak was probably my least favorite part of the meal. It wasn't bad, but I personally would have liked a little more seasoning. My friend ordered the crab omelet and said it was absolutely delicious, and the chai tea latte was a great addition to the meal. One thing that surprised me was the ordering process. I was expecting traditional table service, but instead you order at the counter when you walk in. That's not necessarily a bad thing, just different from what I expected. What did catch me off guard was being prompted to leave a tip before receiving any service. Maybe I'm old school, but in a counter-service setting, I'm not always sure what the tipping expectations are. The restaurant got very crowded shortly after we placed our order, and the line at the counter started to build up. It actually made me wonder whether having servers take orders at the table would help things flow a little more smoothly during busy periods. I'm not sure if it would make a difference, but it was something I found myself thinking about while watching the crowd grow. That said, the staff was friendly, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and it's easy to see why this place stays busy. They have a huge menu with tons of options, so there's something for everyone. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back. The banana pancakes alone are worth the return trip, and next time I'll be looking forward to trying more items from the menu.
