Terrible experience. I have been coming to this location since it was Frugos but will not be returning. Terrible customer service, we purchased our yogurt and went to sit on in the inside seating area and as we unstacked chairs at 9:30 (30 minutes until closing) the cashier said something under their breath and when I said "excuse me?" they said "oh did I say that out loud?" without repeating what they said. At 9:58 as we began to clean our area to leave and be respectful of the 10pm closing time, the employee asked us to leave and said "please don't do that again, the chairs were nicely stacked and sanitized". Not once did they say we couldn't sit, not once did they mention the area was closed. I've gone in during the day and seen the chairs stacked up against the wall so when we saw them stacked we assumed they just hadn't been used. Not sure if this is a franchise or corporate location, but the workers consistently try and close an hour early at 9pm instead of 10pm. The sign says 10pm. The yelp page sags 10pm. I was asked to leave to start preparing to leave at 9:35pm. At 9:40pm tried to have my kids use the bathroom and was told "no it's closed". This location is super close to our house and one of the only places open later than the other froyo places in the area. Came here a few nights ago and the younger male with curly hair and Dodger fan helped us and was super friendly and personable. He alone is the reason for the high rating! Even though a place may have so so "food" service is huge in my books so he definitely made this experience extra pleasant and worth a review. This review is for the Menchie's Franchise rather than the location. Admittedly, I haven't been to a frozen yogurt place in years, and I did recall it can get pricey. But PRICEY is a severe understatement for the OUTRAGEOUS robbery I endured yesterday. I grabbed the SMALLEST SIZE, as did my friend I was paying for. And I do admit, we took liberties to splurge, since we were there as a special, one-time treat and neither of us had been to a Frozen Yogurt in YEARS. I KID you not, we got to the checkout and the price on the screen was not fifteen, not twenty, but THIRTY EFFING dollars. My jaw dropped to the floor, and i just had to ask, "Ugh, that cannot be right?? Tell me that is NOT the price I'm paying." The clerk pointed to a sign that said $0.79 per ounce. First of all, that sign means nothing to me. What normal person do you know that is going to sit there and measure the ounces of yogurt and toppings?? We don't know until it's weighed!! Which is why the whole concept of it is pure crookery. I'm sorry, I didn't realize I walked into a sit down restaurant!! I told him, this should be $6- $10 each at a maximum! I could get a pizza with limitless toppings for $12 and it would feed 3 people. THIS is YOGURT. An EFFING SUPPLEMENTARY DESSERT. There is literally a gazillion other similar dessert options I could have chose for 3 times less. Boba, Ice Cream, Smoothies, Shaved Ice. And I realized, this is why frozen yogurt spots are going out of business left and right. People have it once, reach for their wallet, and think, NEVER AGAIN!! I shudder to think how much they would have charged had we grabbed larger bowls. I get it that the toppings can be expensive to have on hand at all times, but I'm pretty sure if ice cream places can figure it out, so can you. I have never been to Frugo's Yogurt before until just a few days ago. Located in the small town of Whittier this place shares a parking lot with many other businesses such as some Liquor Store and I believe a photo copier place. Parking was super easy and right in front of the building. While walking inside no one seemed to be there, but all of a sudden a lady came out from the back. I guess she knew I was standing there. She was pretty nice and it's not super hard to do it is the same kind of setup like Yogurtland or many other places where you just put as much yogurt as you want in the cup of your choice. The cups had a few choices and I picked the smallest one. Love the gang load of toppings for selection but yogurt flavors is a little small only ten but they are pretty tasty. Enjoy the cookies and cream plus mango tango! My cup came out to about $4.00 or so, but I really enjoyed trying something different. Sadly this place is pretty close to an Yogurtland. read more

I love going to Frugo's even though there are three other Yogurt places closer to me (Tutti Frutti/Yogurtland) they are worth it because they just seem to have more different flavors than the others, tons of toppings to chose from, I believe free Wi-Fi (I think it's because of Fedex Office being next door) and it's in a nice location, even though it can be a pain in the butt sometimes to get to if your coming from the west. (You have to drive a block to do a u-turn or left on College & another left past Gas station to get to the driveway to their parking lot. I also love that they have another location in the city of Yucaipa. (if you know me, you know it's practically my second home away from home). They have little tables w/umbrellas outside to sit and enjoy, pretty much in everyone just sits allover, including the planters in front. My only pet peeve is that some people that go there tend to be lazy and litter, why is it easy to pick up the cup and serve yourself and pay, but yet so difficult to throw in trash can that located allover? That always puzzles me with today's society. And to the family of 6, two of them supposedly adults that were there the time we were, please don't let your kid stomp on all the plastic cups on the floor that were left over litter from the previous lazy patrons, that just makes you inconsiderate and just as rude as those people, plus what are you teaching your kids? Reported them to ADA. This was the 2nd bad experience at this menchies location. I have a service dog for seizures. The first time the same lady told me at the door when I was walking in, (in a super rude tone) "NO DOGS ALLOWED" and I didn't feel like going through defending the ADA LAW, allowing my service dog to be with me at any establishment at all times especially while in my arms. Mind you he's 5lbs and very well behaved. This time she asked me to "get my dog away from the toppings" after she asked if he was a service dog and told her he in fact was a service dog (even though he has a service dog tag). I hate leaving a negative rant and try not to review on emotion, but after giving them a pass the first time I had to review. This is the 3rd bad experience, we are consistent customers. And this was last straw no one should be forced to feel like that especially when asked in loud tone in front of other customers about their service dog. The last time we went it was a very hot day and their AC was broken, instead of closing they stayed open with door closed, it was soooooo hot that the toppings had all melted together. We didn't complain, things happen. I think the woman must be owner of this location. If not the owners should wise up and get rid of her she's absolutely terrible, horrible vibe, negative and angry. This is my third time going to this location. And the young woman working today April 21, 2022. It was very unprofessional. My wife went in there at around 1:50pm to take my son to go get some yogurt. And she was asked to not bring her service animal into the establishment. This is very unprofessional and uncalled the dog is a service animal that is well trained & well behaved. And he's is hypoallergenic so he does not shed hair. The employee ask my wife if she could take her dog to the car. This is uncalled for my service animal is that for service. if I'm not mistaken it is illegal to ask to take a service animal out of any business. I will be furthering this with corporate. Most recent experience is the reason for one star. They close at 10:00PM. I called around 940PM to asked what time they closed and the young man that worked there confirmed 10PM was when they closed.I arrived at 9:55 PM (5 minutes before closing) only to have the door locked and the employee and assuming the owner to be inside. I called again because I was upset that they had closed early, especially after calling and letting them know that I would've be there. The young man try to justify the closing early due to "closing procedures" that they closed at 9:55PM. Why did he say 10PM over the phone the first time? They sign outside even says 10PM. Came here for the first time today. The frozen yogurt flavors were all very good. I asked the girl at the register for a sample cup. She handed me 3 so I can try a few different flavors. I ended up going with my favorite; plain tart loaded with cereal and fresh fruit toppings. I wish they had more boba flavors. There was only one. But there are several toppings to chose from just like any other frozen yogurt place. It was a little messy, but an employee did come out and wipe everything down. Overall everything was just ok. With yogurtland right across the street, I thought this place would have more upside to it. I am giving it 3 stars because the have good tastey flavors. I had the Oreo cookie, a Cinnabon flavor, and chocolate with recesses, and chocolate/raspberry syrup on top. They have a decent variety of toppings in the front ranging from brownies, to sprinkles, to those little Boba balls. They also have a few different syrup flavors (chocolate, raspberry and peanut butter to name a few...oh and hot chocolate syrup as well). Just as any other yogurt place, they weigh your cup at the end, so the more you load up, the more you pay. Right when I walked in, the place just looked a mess. Trash all on the floor and yogurt spilled all over the machines, and the tables were all dirty. They did not greet us or even acknowledge us on the way out. They do offer free WiFi, but you need to sign up with your email. Reception for your phone is not good inside either. I'll be back to check out other flavors . read more
