I ordered the Backwoods burger and subbed a black bean patty and I opted for steak fries. The burger was definitely top 5 burgers I have ever eaten. The black bean patty was something special whatever sauce is on this thing really brought out all of the flavors. The addition of the sautéed jalapeños really set this burger off as they had an amazing flavor profile. I'm serious when I say that I would make the 85 mile trek from Gilbert to Payson just so I can have this burger. We finished up our lunch/dinner with the Mogollon Monster dessert, which is an M&M skillet cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and caramel drizzle. Of course that was really good too, how can you go wrong with a skillet cookie?! If I may make a slight suggestion, instead of topping the cookie with vanilla ice cream, how about blue cookies & cream "Cookie Monster" ice cream given the name of the dessert? The only criticism I have of this place is that the service was a bit slow. We also ordered a mashed potato bowl with chicken, corn, and brown gravy, but there was no brown gravy in it at all. Even though a lot of our order was missing, I will say the food itself still tasted good. The biggest issue, however, was the customer service. The young girl working there, who looked to be around 16 years old, was extremely rude and snotty. When I asked for plastic utensils, she replied, "We do not have any." I asked how we were supposed to eat mashed potatoes and gravy without utensils, and she shrugged and said, "Ma'am, we are a bar, we do not have it." I responded that I've ordered takeout from many bars before and they always provide plastic utensils. She then sarcastically replied, "Good for you, have a nice day." I tried speaking with who I believed was the manager (he nodded when I asked if he was), and while I was explaining the issue, the young employee continued interrupting and talking over me. Another waitress overheard the conversation and quickly returned with plastic utensils, proving they did in fact have them available. The employee then changed her story, saying she "didn't know" if they had utensils and claimed she was super sweet to me(not rude). There is no reason an employee should be speaking to customers this way. She clearly needs additional customer service training before handling customer interactions on her own.

We really didn't dip the chips in the sauces because the chips tasted so great by themselves. We also ordered their meat pizza pie. It too was delicious. We loved the small cupped pepperoni and the great crust. Our server was friendly and informative, and we had a great experience here. It's worth noting that we got there around 11:15 and by noon there was a line out the door on a Wednesday noon. So this isn't a secret place to go. When we went on Friday, we noticed a lot of people had ridden their side-by-sides there. The next morning, we went out riding ourselves and ended up flipping ours onto its side. We weren't sure what to do, so my boyfriend called the restaurant to see if maybe someone could help. One of the owners answered and came out to us within about 20 minutes no hesitation, just asking if we were okay. We're not even locals, just visiting, and they still went out of their way to help us. Truly some of the kindest people we've met. I'm so grateful and would recommend this place to anyone.
