Wonton Soup Extra WT

Uber Eats Delivery. Did my special requests PERFECTLY. Everything is perfectly hot. Everything looks fantastic. I've been looking for a good Chinese close to Lafayette for a long time. I'm not sure why I didn't try this before. Excellent Excellent Excellent.

Honey dew and taro milk tea boba
Souzana V.

Stopped by this place after lunch to try a boba drink. My brother got the honey dew boba milk tea and I got the taro. He did not enjoy his and wished that it was more sweeter and that they didn't put too much milk tea in it. I actually enjoyed mine. It was perfectly sweet and I did taste the milk tea in mine, but it wasn't over powering. We both did agree that the boba was cooked perfectly. Just beware that this place will not be doing dine in anymore. They have stopped doing dine in since Covid. I asked the lady how long they have been there and she said the old couple who owns the place has been in business since 1981. I was only 2 years old! Lol She said the couple is planning on retiring and that's why they won't be doing dine in. Their menu looks good though. Maybe one day, I will try take out from this place. At this point, it's only fair to rate the boba drinks. For now, it's a 3 star.

Chicken Egg Foo Young lunch
Dawn A.

Hubs & I stopped in for a super fast lunch today. We were greeted by a very nice young man who seated us quickly and assured us he'd get the orders in as fast as possible. I had explained we had an appointment in half an hour. Hubs ordered chicken egg foo young lunch with wonton soup and an egg roll. The broth of the soup was very good as was the wonton. Yes only one wonton but it was a small bowl. I ordered chicken dumplings to share and rare steak pho to go as well as a taro boba. The dumplings were fresh, hot and bland as was the dipping sauce. I had also asked to try the hot n sour soup. It was very bland with a very strong starch flavor. Either potato or corn it just was not good. The egg foo young was also very bland and the sauce served with it was also very strongly flavored with starch. The egg roll was also bland. Brought the pho home and heated up the broth on the stove before pouring the boiling liquid over the rare steak and noodles. The broth was sooooooo salty. My husband literally cannot eat this because he has a heart condition that could be triggered eating this much salt. The noodles were way over cooked and the steak was sliced very thick and therefore not tender. It was not a good meal and unfortunately we will not be back. The two stars were strictly for the service. Food gets zero.

Had the combo lo mein pretty good, lunch specials are priced high, other places are a better value.

The food is extremely plain, even by Colorado standards for bland food. You get a lot for the money though. And the staff is super nice.

The dining room where we enjoyed our delicious noodles and beef was so elegantly decorated. I plan on going back and getting more pictures as my phone was getting ready to die. I couldn't take pictures but anyways it was a wonderful experience. I plan on going back the gentleman that owned it. I can't say his name, but he was very respectful honorable and explained the meals to us as it was our first time and he saved us quite a bit of money explaining to us that the order of noodles and beef was big portion and that we did not need to order any appetizers, which was wonderful of him to point out. Needless to say the service the food. The whole experience was very wonderful. Thanks For The Read Until Next Time....

I came in on a very busy day of the year so am rounding up since the staff was working really hard to get orders out the door. I ordered a large chicken pho and roasted pork fresh spring rolls to go. The portion of pho broth and bean sprouts was great, but the amount of chicken was a bit disappointing (about 6 total pieces of shredded chicken). Broth was just ok, I added quite a bit of sriracha, lime, basil, and hoisin sauce and still felt it lacked some flavor. The spring roll portion size was great and I loved the massive serving of peanut sauce. The roasted pork inside was incredibly dry. I'd probably opt for tofu or shrimp next time.

I've gone often enough that the servers know me and are always friendly, but the service was good even when I first went. Today for lunch I enjoyed crispy fried whole sea bass with ginger and a duck curry with bean thread noodles and wood ear mushrooms. Both were superb. I liked that we had to wait for the main dishes to arrive because the kitchen was selecting the best fish to offer (it was big, much more so than I expected) and were making it fresh to order. Portions are generous. Two main dishes are ample for two people and probably enough for three diners.
