    The jukebox. And condiments.
    Tamara J.

The Double T diner is always a good choice. The menu has a lot of options and they even have desserts and a full bar. There is a room in the back that looks like a good option to accommodate larger parties. I stopped in on a Saturday morning to grab breakfast. I was seated right away. And the coffee was served shortly after being ordered upon sitting down. The waitress was very attentive. She took our orders when we were ready. She said the food would be out shortly and that was not a lie. About 5 min later the food came out. Not sure how they were able to prepare the food that quickly but it was hot and fresh. They give you a lot of food here so I think that's a plus. My pancakes were nice and fluffy. The bacon was perfectly crisp. Please note this is an older establishment. So if you are looking for something pretty or fancy this is not the place to go. It is a no frills classic old school diner. They even have a jukebox at all the tables. Even though they do not work it adds help add to the nostolgia and obiance of the diner.

Stayed nearby while on our way from Boston to Raleigh NC and decided to try this place. A old school diner with lots of stainless steel and jukeboxes at the table. This place was huge. There was a very large counter seating area as well. The cakes and pastries were over the top. My wife and I split a meat lovers omelette and the were still leftovers

Tons of butter, jelly, etc. on the table. I got burger & fries, so wasn't relevant to me, but wow a positive depending on what you ate here

Continuing alphabet series representing 2018 is D is for Double T Diner. I was here one time on a date in November 2018. The one positive was the portion sizes were big! Food quality of my burger (which was like the size of a hubcap) was mediocre. It's a typical diner feel, but I prefer Silver Diner for the quality and everything else, but this wasn't bad either.

DOUBLE T FOR THE QUICK WIN! I must say the only problem I have ever had was one server who was the reason I hadn't returned in so long. BUT this day, I am glad we came by. No wait... quiet... perfect time for breakfast and Geesh the food was flavorful!! Especially those grits!! Man I was not disappointed.

Walked to have breakfast on a Wed. Morning from the mechanics. Seated promptly. Server was attentive and great! I had the southwestern omelet with salsa. Free coffee or juice (and 1 refill) with meals over $5.99 during the morning time. Omelete meal came with a side ( i chose grits, they were a little watery for me), & toast. Also had Amaretto Sour. Delish No free wifi. Hella parking around the building

They tasted exactly like they look crap. They were lumpy. They needed a whole lot more of everything

Breakfast is not good here the eggs came scrambled, barely with two slices of cheese melted on top. The pork sausage was horrible. The bacon had no flavor. The pancakes were cold. The grits were really really stiff. Had no flavor and no matter what we did to him and potatoes were cold as well. I have my breakfast and spit up the rest before I even left the restaurant. It was just nasty and we're not even gonna talk about the tea or the Diet Coke that taste like water dish water that is. The best part about our breakfast was our waiter although he was running everywhere he went. We just wanted him to sit down and have a seat and quit running so much that worries us we didn't want him to slip and fall and hurt hisself great job Juan

Mr Moe is amazing. I don't know how he has such an amazing memory for everyone's order even a table of 6. Hes super patient and extremely hospitable. Hes one of the highlights of coming here. The food was delicious. Get the crab cake plate. Delicious and generous portion.

Stopped in today for a quick bite and it was an average meal which could have used a little more flavor. I think of everything I ate, my favorite may have been the grits. Our server, Kelly was friendly but it did take her quite a while to return. I'll chalk it up to it being busy today. The ambiance was a typical diner atmosphere, hustle and bustle.

The restaurant is family regular however, this is my first time reviewing. We came here for breakfast to celebrate a birthday but, I have been to this restaurant all different times of day for breakfast, lunch and late night food as well. The service is always on point. The servers really work hard to accommodate large parties. Our server Moe has being a server down pack. He remembered our entire large party order without writing a thing down and getting everyone's order correct. They have an extensive menu with lots to choose from to make the entire large party happy. The floors needed some attention as they were napkins and very noticeable amounts of food particles on the floor. What I love most about this restaurant is they allowed by daughters Girl Scouts to set up in the lobby to sell cookies. I love a restaurant that supports the community. We will definitely return.

They have a designated customer parking lot in addition to available street parking, which takes the stress out of finding a spot. We visited on a Sunday around 12:30 PM with a party of five and were seated immediately. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and every dish that came to the table was outstanding. We ordered the large Caesar salad, pulled pork sandwich, chicken quesadilla, Monte Egg breakfast sandwich, pesto burger, onion rings and Southern Love burger. Every meal was generously portioned, arrived fresh, and was packed with flavor. No one at the table had a complaint, and everyone left impressed. PaperMoon Diner isn't just known for its quirky atmosphere, it also delivers incredible food to match. This place was a one-and-done experience for us. Never again!!…read more My husband and I ended up here after the Dave Chappelle show because our original dinner plans fell through when the restaurant was fully booked. We should have made reservations, but at that point, all we wanted was a decent meal (nothing fancy) after a long workweek and then to head home. Unfortunately, a decent meal didn't happen. The food was some of the worst we've had in a long time. My husband actually spit food into his napkin, shook his head, and said, "I'm done." I've never seen him do that before. Several dishes were simply inedible. The mashed potatoes were bland and flavorless--how do you mess up mashed potatoes? The potato salad was equally bland and disappointing. The French onion soup had very little broth and was overloaded with a thick layer of hardened cheese. Overall, the food tasted cheap and poorly prepared, yet the prices suggested otherwise. It felt like diner-quality food being sold at premium prices. What made the experience even more frustrating was the manager's response. He came to our table after hearing about our concerns, but instead of focusing on the quality issues we raised, he seemed more concerned that my husband refused to order a replacement meal. That spoke volumes about where the priorities were. The one bright spot was our server, who was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal. No complaints regarding the server as he was extremely apologetic with our experience. To our surprise, the restaurant also added an automatic gratuity to our bill. Ironically, had that not been done, we likely would have tipped our server more because he was not the problem. The kitchen and management were. No, I didn't complain about the tip after I noticed it on our bill. We were over the experience and just wanted to pay and get the hell out of there. Save yourself the disappointment and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. We certainly wish we had. Gordon Ramsay, if you're looking for a future Kitchen Nightmares episode, this place could desperately use the help. P.S. A business name change is not going to help with the quality of the food. Do better and prove that you actually care about your customers, not just the $$.

We were told to seat ourselves. We did. it took a couple minutes for us to be acknowledged by one of the five or so servers who were bustling about. Service was friendly and fairly attentive. The Maryland Cab soup was good, with a lot of crab and a decent amount of spiciness. I had a French dip type sandwich with fries. I asked for my fries to be extra crispy, they were served kind of soggy and cold. The au jus for my sandwich was literally cold. That said, the food was basic but good. Kay's Diner is a nostalgic, cozy Black-owned diner in Baltimore. As soon as I entered, I felt the love! The owner Kay and the manager Sheim are frequently walking around checking in on their guests. They offer counter-top seating as well as a few booths. The menu is extensive offering way more than classic diner breakfast, lunch & dinner. I ordered the French toast combo with a side of potatoes. It was a satisfying meal overall! Eggs were fried hard with cheese, potatoes were well seasoned, bacon was crispy! My only distaste is that they used regular bread rather than brioche for their French toast. The flavor on the French was amazing, it's topped with a cinnamon sugar butter. I washed everything down with an amazing Arnold Palmer. The Perfect balance of tea and lemonade. The coco bread was buttery and light, a delicious treat.
