Male employee working at the front counter assumed I was picking up for Uber. Told me to sign in. I asked him why I needed to sign in? He said picking up for Uber you have sign. I stated to him that I am not Uber. He didn't bother to ask me my name when I first approached the counter. I had to tell him my name. He then ordered me to show my order on my phone as paid. Degrading as this is, I had to show this difficult male employee my phone with my order as paid. At this time and a White Male walks to the counter to pick up his pizza order, and this same Male employee did ask this White Male customer for his name and then he handed the pizza to this White Male customer. I then asked this same male employee why he did not do the same for me. I am a Black Female customer. I have attached the Pic of the rude, unwelcome, bias Male employee. I will never visit this Double Dave's pizza establishment ever again. In addition, I will tell everyone and anyone about this rude bias Male employee working at Double Dave's. I may be a bit of a pizza snob having grown up in Chicago, but I think I can objectively state that the pizza here is really meh. I wasn't expecting haute cuisine when I ordered a couple of pizzas here but it should be at least as good as Domino's or similar chains. It didn't even pass that minimal bar. I know it sounds odd, but we had a huge vegetarian with a sprinkling of pepperoni, extra cheese. This pizza was fabulous. I would say it was sumptuous; that first bite of warm, gooey cheesy veggie goodness assured me we would enjoy that whole thing! Such a flavorful combination of mushrooms, olives, onions and peppers. Even the pepperoni was cooked just right and remained tender. I would advise a couple of the garlic butters for dipping--it, too, is fab. I read the negative reviews but wanted to give it a shot because I just moved to the area and thought this could be a good local place. I was wrong. I door-dashed it because we were tired from unpacking all day and thought pizza was a good idea. We waited an hour for our pizza and when we opened it up, it was burnt like toast. The sausage and pepperoni were dark brown nearly black and the crust was hard as a rock. We also ordered the pepperoni rolls which were decent but bland that you had to drench it in marinara sauce to give it flavor. The only thing good was the apple strudel. I ended up complaining to DoorDash and received a partial refund. I wish I got a full refund because it was that bad for a pizza. read more

Pizza was really good. Went with a large build your own. Followed my requests and added notes on my delivery! You pick your level of baking so if you get it well done expect a well done pizza and not something gooey. Wings are tasty but tiny. The ranch slaps very tasty like wing-stop. I didn't have the best experience with their Austin location but since I was in Manor I decided to give it another chance other than ordering Pizza Hut or dominos. I ordered 2 topping pizza deal with pepperoni rolls & a dessert. My pizza was doughy & not cooked on the bottom. The pepperoni rolls were mostly bread, barely any pepperoni or cheese & my family didn't like the dessert. It took them more than an hour to reliever my pizza even though I was only 5 mins from the location. I was disappointed because when you order it doesn't give you a estimate for delivery time. When I called to see where my pizza was the lady said he was on his way out but I waited another 20 mins for him to finally show. I wasted $47 on this & I'm very disappointed! They also don't give refunds only stores credits. How do you give store credit for bad food?! Would rather a refund! read more

I don't get pizza much but we would always pay more for DoubleDave's because the service matched the food. Been ordering with them for 3yrs. I've had one mistake where they gave me the wrong order once but they made up for it. Customer service was always great. Sometime since February they have been under new management. Now I've had two very bad trips. Which they have completely lost our business. Managers don't care about their mistakes. Last straw for me was when, I ordered pizza rolls and two 3oz of garlic butter extra side sauces for pick up. My husband goes to pick up and checks the box as they give it to him. - no sauces - easy mistake, right? Wrong! My husband asks for the sauces and shows the confirmation to the guy who argues with him. Manager says he put it on the pizza rolls.... it's 6oz of sauce you didn't put it on the rolls. They would not give my husband the dipping sauces. Petty and rude. Hope my $1.50 was worth it. read more

Just like most places is Manor, service is severely lacking. Person taking our order was uninterested in what we wanted to order and seems to hate life at Double Dave's. She seemed bothered that we walked through the door and ordering two pizzas was a drag. I felt a sigh from her when we said that we wanted to dine in instead of take out. No welcoming smile when coming in, no "welcome in" nothing. Although, she was courteous enough to ask if we wanted ranch with our pizza. The Pizza on the other hand was great! It was hot and fresh... Staff has been rude to me on multiple occasions. Pizza was honestly the worst pizza I've ever had. I thought it would give it a second chance, but I am completely disappointed again. Anyone would be FAR better off getting pizza from dominos or Pizza Hut. I hate to complain in a way because I've been wanting more food options/retail to come to Manor but this is not what I was talking about. When I got home from picking up my pizza, I opened the box and not only was it burnt but there was a hair in the corner of the box. I called and spoke to the manager and she had the nerve to ask me to send pictures to her cell before she would address my concerns. Horrible customer service and professionalism. I called the corporate office to make a complaint and I'm still waiting for a response. Once the manager received the pictures she agreed that the pizza was burnt and tried to offer me a credit. Pizza was very disappointing, dry and tasteless. We have been Double Dave's pizza fans for many years but the Manor location has not impressed us on multiple occasions. We tried the pizza shortly after they opened and was not impressed but figured they were new and would try again later. We have visited and handful of other times with similarly disappointing experiences. Most recently, we spent $60 on pizza for the family wanting to have a better quality pizza than Dominos or Pizza Hut and not wanting to drive into Austin. Everyone agreed that the pizza was bland with very little toppings and cheese, but the pizza crust was really dry.. I ordered online and was surprised that NO estimate was given but when to pick up the order. The food is good but the delivery service is poor. If you want to do delivery order it through DoorDash app. Do not use delivery through their official site , you will not get your order unless a door dash driver picks it up. Wait time can be over an hour and you won't get a notification that it's even ready to be delivered, as in if they made your pizza at all. So if an hour has past and you haven't gotten your order might as well go to the restaurant itself. read more

Wow, and not the good wow.. Hands down the worst pizza and wings I've ever had. Pizza was so dry. It was worse than day old dominos that you forget to put in the fridge(which I don't like either). The wings made frozen ones from the grocery store look gourmet. They had obviously been frozen a long time. There was a layer of fat around every wing and the meat was so low quality you could barely tell the difference between the meat and the fat. The peproni and cheese rolls were the only edible parts of my order. The pizza sauce had a gross and noticeable amount of sugar in it. Lesson learned on the worst $55 I've ever spent. I placed an order approx 30-40 minutes before close. I was told the oven was already off. I work in food which means they turn off their ovens at around 9-9:10 for it to be "cold" already. ( which is a hour before states close time) I even offered an additional $20 tip. Desperate to help out my friend who's a nurse and she fell ill w Covid So I was ordering food to be delivered to me so that I could safely drop it off to her as a kindness for the kiddos.
