I'm not the biggest fan of the weird interpretation of NY pizza, but it's pretty good - especially if you're drinking. And they have a great cult following that they share great discounts with. This is the Drunken Masterclass 9" that i got for $4.80 because I had $5 off from my birthday.

I ordered this pizza on uber eats and I have to say it was probably one of the worst pizzas i've had in this town. Hardly any cheese and I added two toppings and there was literally two small pieces of sausage per slice and very little onion. At $2.68 per add on it was not enough. Crust was good so I'll give them that. Oh well.

Super disappointed. Order carry out and it looks like they spilled olive oil all over the pizza. And instead of making it right, they left it. I tried calling immediately but kept rolling back to the recording. A few weeks ago, they were on point. But unless I get a refund, I'm not going back.

Pains me to write a bad review, but this was really bad pizza. I got the veggie pizza and it had no flavor, didn't have much cheese or sauce, and the dough was a bit dense.

This was my favorite pizza place in Dallas and it's my favorite in Austin. I order from Zalat weekly - love the Margherita, Teriyaki Chicken, and Pepperoni pizza. All of them reheat in the air fryer really well too!

Pizza was tasteless and wasn't good. We ordered a simple Margherita pizza, so how hard can it be?

This was so good, I'm not really a pizza person and honestly only came because of the great reviews. Well, I was wrong, this is the best pizza I've ever had I'm usually keto, so I normally don't eat the crust edge. But this time, I actually ate the crust first before getting to the toppings. It's thin, crunchy, and has such a great texture and flavor. I finished the slice right away and forgot to take a picture. I also ordered the Garlic Knots. They come four to an order, but I wasn't sure I wanted that many. Kat told me I could order just one, which was really nice. Unfortunately, this one wasn't my favorite, a little too doughy for me. And then there was the Tiramisu. Wow! It's so good, not overly sweet like other tiramisu and the texture is light, fluffy, and smooth. They were busy during my visit, but the service was still great. Kat was friendly and made my first visit a really enjoyable one. Definitely coming back if I visit Austin again

It has a distinct New York style flare with a crisp, foldable crust. If you are looking for top-tier NY-style pizza, outdoor patio energy, and a South Congress experience, Home Slice is definitely worth stopping by.

The set up is like a dining hall with long communal tables and a free smaller for seater tables on the boarders as well as outside patio seating. A bit too toasty outside for that. Food ordering is at one counter, you get a buzzer and they bring items to the table. Beer has a separate line with limited bar seating. Self service for soft drinks. I got the pizza lunch special which included a side salad, personal pizza and's drink all for $17.95! Talk about a deal! Cesar side salad was simple and's could have used a bit more cheese....and the pizza was good. Only downside was the pepperoni left a lot of grease which made the crust a bit soft. Not sure how to fix that but the crust that wasn't soft was delicious. So having a crisp crust would make it better. They take care of dishes once finished and the restroom was clean. Overall good experience and I'd be back for sure.

The restaurant is open, good seating, the display of pizza in the case is very appealing and appetizing. Its decor is well done. The pizza has fresh ingredients and tastes great. Crust is perfect. The lasagna was good but I would rather stick with the pizza. Just my taste. I did have the cannolis and compliments to them- they were authentic. Creamy, crispy shell, and the pistachio and chocolate chips were very good. My favorite. I suppose my only complaint was the pizza and lasagna were a little cool. It should have been a little warmer. The other issue which I hope they take note and move right away is the trash for plates and silverware. It is directly next to the fresh silverware and takeout boxes. That caught my attention and it's not a good place for the trash. Definitely plan to come back, it is worth coming and trying all the food items they have. I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. It's the real deal. PS: The gelato flavors are also sorcery. However, a review of their gelato is for another time. I must continue to savor the pie for now.
