This is the 2nd time I have been to this Doughbird location and it was another phenomenal visit! The first time I came was with fellow Yelper Dee A. We went on the last day of Restaurant Week in September ans it was wonderful! I couldn't stop thinking about the Rotisserie Chicken which is what I had ordered last time. The dish is so full of flavor and the broccolini gets me every time! I think they put it in some kind of butter sauce then sprinkle them lightly witch cheese. Whatever they do, it's just simply amazing. The chicken is cooked to just the right temperature and it pairs perfectly with the mashed potatoes. This dish is big enough to share, so I had a yummy lunch the next day. I sampled my friends' food too, and I liked it all. The Crispy Chicken Parmesan was divine, and the Classic Chicken Pot Pie just melts in your mouth. Their portions are not skimpy at all, so be prepared to doggy bag your leftovers or bring a friend to split with. The service can't be beat. Employees here are always so polite ans very cheerful. We never felt rushed and they are attentive ans knowledgeable. They will even make suggestions of you are undecided (which is me 99% off the time). The atmosphere is very casual and laid back, but with an upscale feel. I love the huge bar area and the high top tables. They also offer outdoor seating. If you are looking for the perfect place to have lunch or dinner, I highly recommend Doughbird. They also offer a kids menu and a small dessert menu as well. Try the Warm Butterscotch Cake. You can thank me later! ;) Prices are average and there's plenty of parking outside.
Doughbird is really good and the service, even on a busy Friday night was exceptional. I made a reservation, which I recommend especially on a Friday or Saturday evening. The parking lot was very full and my mom was with us so she usually wants me to park in the handicapped spot but they only had two spots and they were both full. We arrived about 15 minutes early and they were able to seat us fairly quickly. The place was buzzing and it was very loud. My mom is hard of hearing so I felt like we were shouting the whole dinner or repeating ourselves. We were trying not to overindulge so we ordered salad and a pizza. The people next to us ordered a bunch of apps that all looked really good but we were being good. The Caesar was really basic but surprisingly good! It even smelled good before I dove in. The pizza was also delicious! We split a veggie and a pepperoni. The veggie had mushrooms basil and olives. It was really good. My son also enjoyed his pepperoni pizza but maybe had too many globs of cheese. He doesn't like cheese that much though. We wanted to get dessert so bad because the people next to us had some kind of sundae that looked so good but we resisted. Next time!! Also I didn't get a drink but the wine list looked pretty good as did the cocktail specials. The reason for 4 stars is the place was cold (granted it was January and we were going through a cold snap) but it didn't feel like any heat was on inside. They had a fireplace and space heaters outside though, where no one was. Also the women's bathroom only had two stalls and on a busy Friday night the bathroom wait was long. Overall I enjoyed my meal and will come back in the future to try some other dishes.
Doughbird has a great vibe and setup for dining areas. Had an excellent old fashioned - make it 2 :). Jenna as a server was top notch great server with an excellent disposition and just all around a wonderful person. We were a little late for dinner on a weeknight so the chicken could have been a little better. It wasn't horrible but I think it was a little less fresh than prime time. I will say I had one of my top 3 Caesar salads at this place. That salad and Jenna took this experience from a 4 stars to 5 stars. We would not hesitate to return.
Came on a Sunday evening at 7:30 with a reservation. Great parking. I was seated quickly. Server answered questions. I ordered the chicken pot pie. It was good needed salt and pepper. Tried the strawberry pinacolada which was a mock-tail. It was bitter to me not sweet at all. I could not drink it. Sent it back no issues.
Cool restaurant with a comfort/upscale vibe. Known for their chicken, but I think we may have arrived after their ideal hours, chicken was slightly on the dry side. Server was amazing, very pleasant and friendly. The sides were also OK, but not amazing, but I enjoyed the aesthetic of the restaurant, Would go again!
I came here with my family for my birthday and overall had a mixed experience. We had a reservation, which was great, but walking in felt overwhelming because there were two large groups gathered near the entrance and bar area, making it difficult for people to get through to their tables. The food itself tasted very good, but the portion sizes were disappointing. The appetizers seemed more suitable for one or two people, and my rigatoni entrée was much smaller than expected. I was still hungry afterward and ended up sharing food from my family's plates. That said, the service was excellent. Our waiter went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. He showed me the dessert menu, and I ended up getting a delicious slice of butterscotch cake that was definitely a highlight of the night. I also wouldn't recommend the frozen margaritas. I ordered two, and they felt mostly like filler despite being served in tall glasses, with not much actual drink in them. Overall, while there were some positives -- especially the service and dessert -- it's probably not somewhere I'd choose again for a birthday dinner. I could see it being better suited for a quick bite rather than a special occasion.
Except trying to make a reservation here, but it just would not go through on my phone. We were leaving the cocktail bar and decided to just see if we could get in anyway. Last time we came here we had to wait over a half hour for a table. We lucked out and they sat us immediately. It was a good thing because 15 minutes later the place was completely packed. This place is quite large, with very topping ceilings and a gorgeous tile on the floor. There are booths and tables, and a couple of large high top tables for bigger groups. You could also sit at a bar that looks over the pizza ovens. They have chicken and pizza - - hence the name Doughbitd. There are also a couple of salads and sandwiches and a few other entrees, like salmon. We skipped appetizers. Happy ordered a chicken sandwich which was served with potato wedges. He really liked it, but I declined a bite. I ordered the rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was so good! The mashed potatoes are very rich and you can definitely tell they are made from scratch. There was not a whole lot special about the broccoli... It was good, but it was just broccoli and I like broccoli. The chicken was the star! The chicken here is so delicious. There's a little bit of sweet and savory together, and it works so well. Servings are quite large, so we both took home half of our meals. That gives us something to look forward to tomorrow! Our server, Ben, was fantastic. He had several tables but still managed to be attentive to all of them. An older woman came in and was dining on her own, and he was so patient while she talked to him and stood there for quite some time helping her understand the menu. Kudos to him! I do suggest if you're coming at prime dinner hour to make a reservation. We were able to walk in a little bit earlier, but we just beat the rush.
Our kids wanted to treat their dad for a Father's Day lunch, so they made a reservation at Doughbird in Arcadia. My husband and I had been before, but it was a first for the kids, and they were excited to try it out. We were seated right away, and the service was great from the start. We ordered a pitcher of summer sangria--which REALLY hit the spot, especially in that 112° Phoenix heat! I had the Heirloom Tomato & Watermelon Salad, and it was super refreshing and flavorful! I loved the mix of quinoa, feta, pistachios, and that light vinaigrette. My husband went with the Father's Day special: one of their specialty pizzas (he picked The Aviator) and a pint of beer for $22. The pizza was loaded with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and melty mozzarella. Our son got the Black Truffle Mushroom pizza and added sausage! It was super tasty! Our daughter went with the Crispy Chicken Parmesan, which was alright but the black truffle orzo that comes with it was next level! Honestly, I think Doughbird has some of the best tasting pizza crust around. Everything we had was delicious, and the whole vibe was great. We'll definitely be back!
Second time here visiting Doughbird and I came in for my birthday dinner. I'm amazed at how awesome their customer service is. Everyone is so friendly and good service nowadays is very hard to come by. The food is delicious and everything on their menu is very affordable. The mash potatoes and broccoli were full of flavor and soooo yummy. Don't even get me started on the butterscotch... I will rave about this place to anyone asking for a great restaurant to try! Can't wait to be back
Bartender was amazing, food was fantastic, and plenty of seating available. My friend and I got the copper hat pizza and some wings to split. The copper hat pizza was amazing. Granted, I'm a sucker for goat cheese and dates. Ambiance was wonderful and overall it was a great time. Drinks were fantastic too to top it all off
I cannot say enough great things about this Doughbird location! Not only is the food great but the service is above and beyond. We were able to get a reservation for a group of 12 girls on a bachelorette party. A few hours prior to the reservation they called to confirm our table and group size which was appreciated. Immediately upon arrival we were seated at our outdoor table and placed our orders. I ordered "The Local" which was absolutely delicious! I also ordered the spicy Hawaiian pizza without ham & added mushrooms and that was extremely tasty as well. The restaurant is known for their pizzas and chicken so our group all tried out different pizzas and everyone said their pizzas were delicious! Our server, Ben, was so kind, attentive and made our evening with his food & local recommendations. The manager also was beyond kind, ordering us a free dessert to celebrate the bachelorette party. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant in regards to both their food, ambiance, and service!

I'm not sure why they call this place Doughbird. What does it even mean? Nevermind it's one of these mini- conglomerate restaurants popping up all over the Valley of the Sun, with quirky names, on-trend food, a locals vibe, and expansive high-end decor. It's a gorgeous space, with a nice big open bar, lots of windows, and really cool tile It is a bit noisy, but maybe that's by design, adding to the bustling brasserie atmosphere. Our table went with a margarita pizza and the Cobb salad option. It probably wasn't called a Cobb salad, but basically that's what it was. I think it was the "grilled chicken, bacon, avocado" salad. Believe it or not, I'm not big on bacon, but it's essential in this salad and it was perfect. I'm Soo picky about my salad: I hate the mushy mesclun mixes, the boring romaines and the watery icebergs. Here was a perfect ratio of greens to cheese, to chicken and bacon. Each bite was balanced and the dressing was amazing. Was it a champagne vinegarette? I don't know but yum it was great. When I'm back in town, I'm getting this again, a winner. Pizza was nice too, nothing earth shattering, but serviceable and quality ingredients. Service was fine. My only complaint is, when you have essentially an entire huge restaurant, seating a ladies luncheon trio one table away from a party including seven toddlers left us unable to converse without being interrupted by ear piercing shreiks, cries, and well, you know what I mean, just wasn't in the mood. I adore kids, but not really. If I want that vibe, I'll offer to babysit. I felt like I was in the middle of a mommy n me class at one point. I think the front of the house should be sensitive to those kinds of issues, it's part of the dining experience. A little more separation would've avoided this. That is all. read more

Had a break between baseball games. Stumbled across Doughbird. We ordered Wings, Truffle Cheese bread, margarita pizza, and rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes. Everything was fantastic. Wings were absolutely fantastic. Unique flavors, spicy but not too spicy, and very good size. Same goes for the cheese bread. Excellent taste, not something we've seen on a menu before. We picked Doughbird for a chill dinner on New Years Eve and it was a solid experience! Known for their specialty pizzas and their rotisserie chicken, the restaurant is open inside and has a nice vibe. They had a set NYE menu you could do or you could order off the regular menu. We decided to stick to the normal menu. I started out with one of their signature drinks, the local. Strawberry, lemon and grapefruit vodka went into this drink.. I liked the citrus flavor but it did get a little too sweet for me as I kept drinking. Overall though it was solid. None of the appetizers jumped out to us so we went straight for our mains. I ordered brussels sprout pizza and my girlfriend decided to take a chance on the prime rib. The pizza came with additional toppings of sweet potato, bacon, mozzarella cheese and pistachios for a little crunch. I was a big fan of this flavor combo, it was savory in the best way. I would definitely recommend it! The pizzas are a good size too. You could easily split one, especially if you order apps. The prime rib came with a choice of side, in this case it was Mac n cheese. Considering this was not a steakhouse, the prime rib was pretty solid. The only downside was the au jus was pretty cold to begin with and the entire plate got cold quickly. The Mac n cheese wasn't bad, but I would definitely explore the other sides next time. Nothing tempted us on the dessert menu, but we were pretty full so it was probably for the best. Second visit and just as wonderful as the first visit! This time we were seated outside, which is so amazing at night in the Fall! After extensive Christmas shopping, we were so glad to be there. Our amazing server , Keesh, served us with smiles and laughter! Ever so patient as we poured over the menu trying to decide ! We were served expertly and quickly! The old fashioned is still as good as the first time. The Caesar salad with scotch salmon was a delight! And of course , there was pizza! Wild Mushroom ! Which was sooo good! Then we did something we never do! Ordered dessert to go! Warm butterscotch cake! My goodness! It was like a warm hug from Santa! LOL We also took away a meal lol for the mister at work! Have you ever been to an establishment and pondered, what is the personality of this place? That's how I felt at Doughbird. The waitress, Jesse, was very nice, the food was very good, and the place was clean, but the atmosphere just seemed off. I know this is really subjective writing but besides the Butterscotch Cream Cake which is amazing left the biggest impression on me. We also enjoyed the prosciutto and BBQ chicken pizzas. Definitely a much better experience this time around. First of all our waiter Arvand was excellent!! He was so attentive and had some great suggestions, so thank you very much for that! To start off, the Indy School Mule was great and the hummus was absolutely delicious!! Super flavorful. Then we each got a pizza. I had the wild mushroom pizza. It was amazing. The aroma the pizza gave off was delicious in its own, but the truffle oil was out of this world. Topped off the dinner with the butterscotch cake for dessert and between the two of us we nearly licked the plate clean. Really really good experience this time! Ordered the mushroom pizza to-go today. Even though I ordered to-go, every staff member welcomed me and made sure I had everything I needed as if I was dining in. Opened the box and it was piping hot and smelt amazing. Drove it home and it was a bit cold, but that's only because of the detours I took. Listen, I'm pretty plain and old fashioned with my pizza. Regular ole pepperoni or veggie is my favorite. Occasionally I'll dip into a Meat Lovers Pizza. One extreme or the next! Doughbird's billboard has been taunting me for months while driving down Indian School Rd so I finally stopped in to try them. I informed the bartender that this was my first time visiting and asked for suggestions on both an appetizer and pizza. For an appetizer, he suggested the Crispy Chicken Pot Stickers. So I went with the pot stickers. Dude! They were beyond good. Unlike any other Pot Stickers I've had before. Our bartender favored both The Aviator and The Barbecue Chicken Pizza so we tried both. The Aviator pizza was soooo good. I loved the crispiness of the bacon and the flavors of the Italian Sausages but My goodness .. the BBQ chicken pizza exceeded my expectations. It taste NOTHING like any BBQ chicken I've had before. You could taste every ingredient (rotisserie chicken, charred corn, red onion, jalapeño pesto, white cheddar) in every single bite. Had a party of 9 on a Saturday night, was seating right in front of the kitchen. Love the view of my food being prepared. We happened to go, on restaurant week. Wooooow. I was not expecting to be blown away by their pizza as this place had fell under my radar. I was pleasantly surprised by how good their pizza was. A testament to that is that we didn't even wait to take pictures of it and we just dived in. I cannot get over their Brussel sprouts pizza. It is A M A Z I N G. Sweet potato, bacon, pistachio. Yes, yes and yes. We also ordered the prosciutto and goat cheese which was nowhere near as good as the Brussels sprouts but still very good. I cannot wait to eat that pizza again. Location; Indian School and 44th street - you can not miss the building. Super cute inside mauve and wicker is how I can describe. I did go for a meeting with seven others - little loud and people on end could not hear - don't go if needing to have large table hear your story. Food; Started out with Lebanese humus - scrumptious seasoned perfectly. I ordered Cauliflower Steak - and man may need to go back by myself and order it again don't need to go with others just for the food. It was so good and the mashed side item was just as good. Doughbird has open kitchen concept and has plenty of booths and window seating options. They also have patio which would be nice in cooler months. Since it was first time here for both my friend and I, we opted to order the basics. We had margarita pizza and the chopped salad. The salad was so fresh and the dressing was delightful. It was perfect with the pizza. The pizza had just the right amount of sauce and cheese ratio and the crust was amazing. The service was excellent. Highly recommend! read more

Great spot for some great roasted/rotisserie selections... i hear the pizza is amazing too. I chose the roasted salmon with Mac n Cheese... it's a must, i highly recommend it if your in the "kinda healthy" mood like i was! I finished the night with a butter cream cake that was more than satisfying. That was a first for the dessert and i do not regret it. The staff and management were beyond helpful and efficient. My glass of tea was consistently topped off by different servers throughout my visit... it's as if the staff enjoys working there! ... defiantly a great vibe there. The only complain from me is I wish I had one of these near my home in San Antonio, TX! .... Maybe one day right??? Lol If you're looking for some good food swing on in and give them a try. Wow! Food was amazing; service was stellar; and experience perfect. We started with the Lebanese hummus, which had great flavor. Pita bread was pretty typical. Also had some veggies with the hummus (yep, trying to be healthy). Next, I ordered the Garden Chop salad with the salmon. You can order the salmon in various degrees of cooked. I went with the way the chef recommended (I guessed that the chef would know!) and it was delicious!! Just the right amount of rawness inside the perfectly cooked outer layer. I also had a slice of the Wild Mushroom pizza (the hubby wasn't going to eat that whole thing!), which was also delicious. Not that any of this food needs to be washed down, but I drank an incredible sangria. Take advantage of the happy hour menu! We didn't but plan to in the future! read more

You ever drive by a place and immediately know that you need to eat there? Well that's exactly what happened to me when I drove by Doughbird a few weeks ago while visiting Phoenix and came back the very next day because of how cool the place looked. We came here on a Monday afternoon looking to indulge in some Arizona Pizza (is that a thing? I really don't know) and that's exactly what we were able to do. Both my girlfriend and I were pretty hungry and decided that splitting a pizza and some wings was the ultimate lunch idea so that's what we did! The menu has a ton of different options for both pizza and wings but we decided to order a margherita pizza along with an order of the Buffalo chicken wings which both well proceeded my expectations. The pizza was thin crust and kind of cooked in a Connecticut style which tasted absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. The chicken wings might of been buffalo but the addition of the Parmesan added such a flavour kick to it that I couldn't help but eat most of them myself, these bad boys were oh so delicious! Overall, Doughbirds is a fantastic restaurant with delicious food, a friendly staff, and a great atmosphere to go along with it all. If you like pizza, wings, or both, do yourself a favour and get over to Doughbirds pronto! read more

One of the most recent to join the Fox Restaurant group (before the merger with cheesecake factory) with delicious food, great ambiance, cute interior, and yummy happy hour. In fact they have happy hour on Saturdays as well! Huge perk! We love sitting at the bar for happy hour. I usually order a gin and tonic and their absolutely ah-mazing hummus and hearth bread!!! The bread alone is like crack..it's so good and you can't put it down. You will need to order another if you're going to share this dish :) Their rotisserie chicken is also scrumptious. You can get a half or whole, and it's also an ingredient in many of their salads and other dishes. Perfection. For vegetarians, they do have an amazing cauliflower steak as well. So many options. Now their pizzas are also really yummy. I just think there are sooooo many places for really good pizza so it's hard to turn down the chicken at Doughbird. After a long day of volunteering a friend and we're driving around looking to try something new. The catchy name and cute penguin made me want to check this place out. The parking lot in this area is a morning brunch time buzz so prepare to drive around to find some parking. This particular venue does have valet so that offered a bit of relief to the parking woes. The inside is bright and the large windows allow a view of the city. The one thing I loved was the kitchen, it's open and allows you to see your food being prepped. The chefs were in their peeling sweet potatoes and prepping cilantro. I love getting a sneak peak into the kitchen. We had an amazing waitress who did a spectacular job guiding us through the menu and offering her recommendations. We ordered the peppers as an appetizer and as everyone knows I'm a punk with spice and didn't get very far with this dish. Apparently it's hit and miss with the heat level but the peppers were delicious I just know my stomach would not have appreciated me proceeding forward. The main entree was the Aviator pizza which is basically a meat lovers pizza. Everything about this pizza screamed perfection including the flaky crust. My husband made a reservation and we came here for Valentine's day. I ordered the Local cocktail to start. It was very refreshing but not very strong. For entrees my husband ordered the prime rib and I ordered the prosciutto and goat cheese pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious. The wait wasn't long for our food and customer service was really good. All employees were wearing masks and they did a good job at social distancing for their guests.
