The service was great but it is pricy for the food. Maybe this type of food just isn't for me but nothing here wowed me. We came here for AZ restaurant week to try out their menu and since we're a family of 5 we decided to get all 4 things on the menu to try everything while my mom ordered the jambalaya. The Brussels sprouts were good, the toast was good but nothing amazing, I think postinos is way better in terms of any kind of toast offering, the gazpacho was really refreshing if you're a fan of gazpacho! I'm not a fan of blue cheese so I couldn't comment on the wedge salad. The shepherds pie was good, the texture and flavor were spot on. The pork tenderloin was probably my favorite. The cook on it was perfect, it was so soft and the smoky flavor was perfect. The enchilada was a little too sweet with the sweet potato and the cumin was too strong for me. The risotto was good though. The flourless chocolate cake was way too brick-y, I know it's flourless but I've tasted way better flourless chocolate cake it and just because it's flourless it doesn't mean it needs to be a brick :( The lemon dessert was probably my favorite thing I had all night. The flavor was refreshing and not too strong and perfectly paired with the sauce. The coconut ice cream was also good, very cream and good flavor, could use more coconut flavor but still good. Everything was just good and as expected, but paid a lot. I do appreciate they have a fresh pepper grinder and what looks like nice salt!! Very nice

We've been to Beckett's Table several times. Previous visits were 5 stars. This one was still very good. We started with drinks which were very good. For apps we started with roasted Brussels which were good but a bit bland, but I've been ruined by the amazing roasted Brussels at Twisted Grove, can't imagine any others will live up. We also ordered the Beets and Burrata which was very good, and the Noble Bread and Dips which was good but for $25 (a lot!) it came with very little bread and not much of the dips. For a single $25 bread and dip app, you'd think there'd be plenty for 4 people, not so much. The grilled cheese with tomato soup was excellent, super cheesy (4 cheeses), stretchy, oily, grilled to golden yummm! My jambalaya was pretty good, a bit unusual in texture, more highly chopped and flavor was decent, had big shrimp and size was good. Our server was very nice, but we had to track her down several times after waiting and trying to get her attention. Maybe she was trying not to rush us, but the waits, like 10-15 minutes to order appetizers, was excessive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the ambience here with the natural finishes and open kitchen. It feels modern but not trendy, open and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Value is alright. As I mentioned, the apps were pricey for what you get, drinks are about average, entrees are a little on the high side, but are made from fresh ingredients and are reasonably sized. Overall this was a 3.5 to 4 star visit, rounding up based on previous very good experiences, hoping the next visit has a bit more attentive service and I'd choose a different entree, like the beef bourguignon pot pie.

I've been wanting to try Beckett's Table for a while and had a girl friend in town to visit so it was the perfect time to go before grabbing a cocktail across the street. It was a Saturday night and I made a reservation prior but we still had to wait about 10 minutes before our table was ready. The food was great but the service was very much the opposite. Our server was incredibly slow in every step of the process from taking our drink order to our food order to our bill, etc. It was fairly busy but for the price of the food I was pretty disappointed. For the good, we absolutely loved the deviled eggs and my wedge salad was outstanding. The biscuits I thought were just alright, a bit too dry and salty for me but my friend enjoyed them. Honestly if the food hadn't been as good as it was, I wouldn't return again but I'm willing to give them another shot in the future & will hope for the best.

Beckett's Table was our monthly venture out into the Phoenix Area and we were pleasantly pleased with our meal so much that we stayed over two hours just enjoying our time there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside is very deceiving as the dining room is much more spacious than it looks. In addition to the inside there is a wrap around outdoor patio with a fireplace for those cooler months.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our service was welcoming and respectful with the only pull coming between dinner and desert where we had to wait for a bit longer than necessary but that could have been circumstantial. Ultimately our waiter helped with decisions and was knowledgeable and helpful and not pushy. As for the food itself we really scoured the menu. We ordered the deviled eggs and a wedge salad which I shared. The deviled eggs came with only three which was disappointing for $15 while being delicious! The wedge was fresh and generous in portion and taste. For entrees we ordered the Barramundi fish (my dish), the salmon, petite chicken, and burger. Everyone was satisfied with their selections and the chefs presentation and interpretations of each dish was great for our pallets. After passing the serving window we felt like we may have missed out on the short ribs and jambalaya. At the End of the Day we ended our meal with the crème brûlée and pecan pie. The twist on each was the chai custard in the crème brûlée and the fig filling in the pecan pie. Mind you, both were a great pairing and fresh take on each desert. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While pricey and on the smaller side when it comes to portion, Beckett's has fresh takes and a great atmosphere for great food and conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here during a Timeleft event. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our app showed eight attendees, but the restaurant only had seating prepared for six. It was a busy Tuesday evening and they weren't able to add another table, so eight of us ended up squeezed into a small six-top, which made things a bit uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was very nice. The interior felt casual and welcoming, with wooden tables, booths, and warm décor that gave the restaurant a cozy, homey feel. It has the vibe of a comfortable neighborhood spot where people gather for good food and conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Other than the seating mishap, the experience was very good. The food tasted great and the portions were generous. I had the beef shepherd's pie along with a half salad topped with shrimp, and it was very filling. The restaurant also has a great wine list with a nice selection of local Arizona wines as well as regional options, along with beer and cocktails. The menu is on the pricier side for a casual-style restaurant, with entrées ranging from about $25 for a cheeseburger to $35 to $60 for some dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. Our server seemed very busy but still did a great job taking care of our table, even if water refills were a little slow at times. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a great place to enjoy a meal with friends.

With all the hype behind Beckett's Table, his chef recognition and years of superb praises, we have been wanting to try out his art for a long time but did not have the opportunity til now. Since opening Beckett's Table in 2010, the restaurant and Chef Beckett along with his staff has done nothing but become more and more recognized for magnificent delivery of superior cookery. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First, the location intrigued us with the nondescript exterior yet the spacious well defined and decorated interior with rustic high ceilings, roominess between tables and the open kitchen[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Second, the ambience is homey in a big spacious way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thirdly, the expectations from Beckett's Table reviews to the establishments award winning stance from Food & Wine, Condé Nast, Wine Spectator not to mention their great ratings with the like of Yelp, OpenTable, Google and AZ Republic were more than just met! They were surpassed. During our visit we had the pleasure of starting out with appetizers with two - the Noble Toast Ham and Cheese with tender and excellent shaved ham with tender mushrooms, with an interesting smoked onion cream, and a spritely pickled vegetable topping. One of my fave soups in the world, Tomato Gazpacho incorporated an engaging burnt leek salsa verde but topped by a little too much citrus oil - but not to the point of destroying the dish. Although very, very good, their Hickman's Farms Deviled Egg was not what we expected, as they were along the lines of something we do at home and would not cost you $9! The Shrimp "Dirty rice" Risotto with a smooth and not in your face tender andouille sausage, with just the right amount and slivers of green peppers, a delectable creole tomatoes and roasted vegetable was a fascinating tribute to Creole cooking... the aromatic as well as delectable hard wood smoking made both our main dishes exceptional. My Wife's choice of Smoked pork tenderloin was fork cutting tender, flavorful and perfectly sliced. The accoutréments of the dish: potato and broccolini offered a very interesting and intriguing taste accented by the roasted garlic cream sauce. For dessert, the tasty, but somewhat dry lemon cake with berry compote along with vanilla anglaise was pretty good. By my simple, but tasty and satisfying coconut sorbet with toasted coconut flakes was delightful. Beckett's Table culinary approach is American comfort food, novel flair, keeping it local, a rare creativeness, yet simultaneously recognizing tradition with innovation. In short, Justin Beckett's cooking blends Southern warmth with inventive American comfort food. Beckett's Table for us became one of our top 20 Valley of the Sun go to excellent restaurants - and that's a lot for a person who rarely rates anything with a five star. Beckett's Table just did. Justin Beckett, keep up the good work and we'll be back.

I really enjoyed Beckett's Table! I used to pass it all the time and finally decided to try it out for dinner a couple weeks ago. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is way bigger inside than you would expect and pretty rustic with nice decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were super early for our reservation so they let us sit at the community table and we just stayed there for dinner. We started with some deviled eggs (it was Easter so cute colors) and brussel sprouts. Both were good but also it's pretty hard to mess up those two things in my opinion. My boyfriend got the jambalaya for dinner which he liked but didn't rave about. I tried it too - pretty solid but wish it had a little more spice. I got the signature pork ribs which are served with mashed potatoes and veggies. I loved my meal it was so delicious. I liked this place a lot we will most likely come back eventually.

WOW! I have told myself and anyone else in the car EVERY time I drive by, "I really want to try that place!" I hadn't only because the lack of research I'd done made me believe it was too expensive, I was so wrong! The quality, attention to detail, service, and unique menu was not only beyond what I had expected, but it was also totally priced reasonably for a higher end dinner with award winning food. Starting with our server Erin and the sweet hostess that sat us, superb. For real, it was so refreshing to be greeted genuinely, attentively, and set with expectation. Erin was enthusiastic and bubbly which made her visits to our table a sincere joy to experience. THE FOOD. WOW. Literally fall off the fork short ribs so perfectly cooked and with the best seasoned veggies and mashed potatoes I've ever had the privilege of meeting. But the salmon!? Whoa. Cooked to a perfect medium with a crispy edge and the butternut squash pairing was the star for me. GET. THE. PIE. As a pecan pie fanatic, AND with the holidays, recently having my palette reminded of the many different styles and techniques in making a pecan pie, this takes the number one spot. (The ice cream with it is fine. Not a pairing match for me, but it's because) black coffee was the move with this pie. Texture, 10/10, not too sticky. Pecan to filling ratio: another 10/10. Fig component: 11/10. I would have not known it was fig with out someone telling me. The texture and taste was on point and held together a crust that potent could have been too crumbly to eat with a fork. It was literal perfection in a pie. The entire experience was such a wonderful win to celebrate our anniversary. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment itself was really nice, however very casual. A reason to dress up but not over do it. I love a place like that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Oven roasted beets, burrata and sweet potato chips, good!

Tonight, we celebrated our office Christmas party and Beckett's Table was our choice. Reservations were a must. Parking is a bit of a concern with a busy strip mall being close by. We started with the wood oven roasted beets, home-made burrata, sweet potato chips and pumpkin seed pesto. It was delicious, warm and the sweet potato chips were spot-on. The Mac and cheese was another appetizer with the right amount of crunchy bacon bits. The Mac and cheese was clumpy, and almost over-cheesed which is hard to do. Everyone had browsed the menu and decided the braised boneless short rib, mashed potatoes, sauteed veggies and red onions gravy was a must have. The meal was good, however the tender meat lacked a real flavor profile. The potatoes and veggies on the other hand were great. Dessert were also ordered but I did not try them. Beckett's Table has a great on-line presence and decent reviews. The ambiance was nice, a bit loud but good wait staff. The food was fine but no wow factor was noted by me. It could of been what I chose, but the short rib was a featured dish. I don't feel the need to return but do wish them well.

Beckett's Table is always a very welcome culinary experience. We arrived early for our reservation were greeted warmly and were immediately seated, wasn't too busy but the service is always amazing. Met our server Riley who took great care of us and answered some questions. Recommended the Deviled Eggs which change weekly which we ordered. Let me tell you, if you're a fan of deviled eggs and you make your own, these will make you question ever making them again. So delicious and the texture of the filling is perfection. My wife went for the Beef Bourguignon Shepherds Pie which Riley immediately said was his favorite, we always love ordering something only to have the server gush about how amazing it is, and he wasn't wrong. Delicious comfort food consisting of beef in a bourguignon sauce with vegetables and topped with mashed potatoes, very delicious. I opted for the Pork Osso Buco Confit that is on a bed of butternut squash and chorizo spaetzle. That pork is just falling off the bone when it arrives and the spaetzle is an amazing accompaniment to the delicious pork shank. Pair those with the delicious Bacon Cheddar Biscuits and you're in for a great meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always amazing wait staff and drinks, we also love the ambiance and the open kitchen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Beckett's is where you go when you want a meal prepared and served by people who love food as much as you do. Always recommended!

We attended a small wedding reception for dinner at Beckett's Table and had such a great experience! I can't say enough about our server, Tai! He handled our table of 16 easily and we were never left waiting for service. He was so polite and always served with a smile. We started with cocktails and they were all crafted perfectly. My dirty martini was served ice cold and it was very refreshing. They start with complementary cheddar biscuits with apple butter. They were very tasty but were just a bit dry for my liking. Next came appetizers of deviled eggs, broccolini, complemented by berry compote and soft cheese and a salad, all served family style. All were absolutely delicious. I thought the way the broccoli was presented was so clever. I wouldn't have thought to put that combination together. So delicious. I ordered the Beckett's Table Signature Fork Tender Short Ribs with creamy mashed potatoes, sautéed veggies, red onion gravy. The short ribs were tender and delicious. I have ordered short ribs at other restaurants and can sometimes come out tasting like pot roast instead of short ribs. These definitely tasted tender like short ribs. Perfect. My husband ordered the Grilled Organic Scottish Salmon with carrot ginger "soup", lemon roasted potatoes, spinach, crème fraiche, orange coriander glaze. The " carrot ginger soup" is a sauce underneath the salmon. He said the salmon was very tender and delicious. By the way, both of these dishes are gluten free for those who need a gf option. Others ordered the Pork Osso Buco Confit which they mentioned turned out delicious. Dessert was the perfect ending to the meal: miniature crème brûlées, pumpkin spice cake with apple butter, and chocolate brownies. The small portions were ideal after such a full dinner. Compliments to the chef for creating delicious, interesting dishes and hiring such a warm, friendly and professional server as Tai.

This was so good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is very classy and comfortable after a day out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their menu was simple and an excellent list of wine selections. I was only there for an appetizer with a friend and this was just the spot! I loved the biscuits and the excellent service. The server was so kind and friendly. He was on top of our service so we never waited for him or anything. I loved it. Can't wait for the next visit!

Can you bring a birthday cake?

Ye! There is a very reasonable $4 cake cutting fee, per person, that is well worth making your celebration golden and less work!

Is an hour and a half enough time to allow for dinner on a Thursday night? We have reservations at Platform 18 afterwards and am trying to time things so we aren't standing around for awhile.

It should be. Our meal was fast enough to make it.

    Are shorts acceptable?

Yes. No dress code. Though you may want to skip the sweats and maybe don the Tommy Bahamas to complement the atmosphere and the amazing food! 🥂

Do they have high chairs for toddler/kids?

I also am obsessed with their fries, they're those skinny shoestring crispy type & with the truffle aïoli were perfection. The service started off great but slowly slipped as our server got busier and visited our table far less. I'm sure they just have some kinks to work out with the new menu. When it was delivered by an entirely different server, I said it had taken ages, she went and retrieved our ticket to find out what time the order was put in. And there lies the problem.... The order wasn't put in, until about 20 minutes after we placed it. A frustrating mistake, but a mere apology would've been sufficient. I'm there a few times a quarter & have never experienced this... So disappointing

Very on top of it with timing, service, knowledge of food, etc. I wanted to try the chopped salad everyone raved about. Was offered different choices of protein but we had it the way it was meant to be. Very good! Lots of different textures and flavors. Then we shared their filet with mashed potatoes and charred broccoli. . Hubby and I both said "yummmmy" Finished with the dessert of the night. A Bread pudding with oranges and cherries and something else with vanilla whipped cream and chocolate drizzled. Excellent. Definitely worth the praise on social media.

I mean really, did the chef put any salt and pepper on the flesh side of the salmon or did he/she only season the skin side? For the love of God...put some salt on both sides and please only cook it to medium! Just my two cents! I hope management reads this because I'll be returning to The Gladly with a large group of friends in February and we've selected salmon as one of the choices for our group meal. I hope and pray the fish will be cooked properly with seasoning please! Okay, I'm done talking about the salmon! The Chopped Salad was good and the spinach dip was very good! My spicy margarita was also top notch! However, the salmon left a bad taste in my mouth!

We have been to the market at Jennifer's before, and I have really enjoyed it. We keep a restaurant…read moreweek and for a weeknight it was full when we arrived around 6:30. I really love the aesthetic of this place. First of all it's tucked on the back corner of a strip mall. You wouldn't know it was care without looking, even though there is a small patio that wraps around. The dining room is kind of a great mixture that stuff it's very industrial working with lots of concrete with open duct work, but it also has a lovely tufted Bank at and crystal chandeliers. The perfect balance and I love it. You can see into the kitchen which I also like. Our server was delightful, and I loved the attentiveness, like making sure to move the curtains when the light was hitting in an odd way. I started with a delicious drink that I think was called Mezcal Orange Fizz. It was yummy! For the first course I chose the Salmon Crudo. It had a citrus dressing and crispy rice chip. It was absolutely delicious, but very tiny. I could have licked the plate because the dressing was so yummy. My friend had the gazpacho, which she said was very good With main course I chose the Garlic-Lemon Scallops and Corn. It was four delicious scallops on polenta garnished with popcorn. What a cool surprise! It was really good! My friend had the short ribs which she seemed to like as well. For dessert, we both chose the key lime tart. It was a little bit of heaven on a plate! I really enjoyed it. The portion sizes were appropriate - - what we probably should be eating rather than the huge portions we normally get. I was able to finish everything, and I left full but not stuffed. I did remove a star because I did not like that they charged a gratuity on a check for just one person. I normally tip a minimum of 25%, but they added 18%. I just left it. I understand the need to include the gratuity with a larger party (somehow the server always seems to get the short end on those larger parties). I don't know if that's a normal thing, or a restaurant week thing because, to be honest, hubby always pays the bill. I do recommend this hidden gem of a place. It has a lot going for it and I've always enjoyed my visits here.

It took like 20 min before they ordered drinks and 30 min plus before drinks were delivered! Crazy right? The first visit I got the burger and fries and it was delicious. The second time I got a steak medium well and loaded baked potato and the potato was very dry (like an older potato that was on its way out) and although I loved the overall flavor of the steak I had to eat around the edges only and avoided the center because not only wasn't it medium w no pink it was red! Also it had gristle and fat. For $44 it was a waste of good meat and I'm not one to ask a cook to throw it back in the grill when they should know how to produce different levels of cooked steak. The ambiance is a chill dim lit vibe and easy for conversations so that was great! The bathrooms are clean and smell good. Great mirror lighting too. But the front layout is odd, the hostess stand is right there so everyone crams in front of door and there's no barrier to the first large table so you're like staring at the poor people eating at that first long table lol! I think they need to switch up the entry layout and put up a half wall or decorative situation to tuck away that table a bit too. Just my two cents. Overall, I'd go again but it would be really nice if management saw this and trained staff on how to greet table sooner, take drink orders, and deliver said drinks timely for a more pleasant dining experience.
