I'm so torn on how I feel about this place. I only went to the Chelsea Market location (maybe other locations are better?) All of the donuts are mini and sold by 6, 12, 25, 100. Well being alone I'm obviously only going to get the 6 option, which meant 1 or 2 flavors. I chose cinnamon sugar and speckled strawberry. I loved the cinnamon one! But for the strawberry one there was no taste of strawberry or lemon, just a sugar donut. I didn't feel that the workers were nice either, rushed you and no smile. This is very expensive for a mini donut. So maybe the price is for the unique flavor? Then I actually expect to taste the flavor and not be subtle. I do love how each donut is fresh so it's warm. Then they dunk it in a pile of sugar and flavor, so each one is made fresh. Knowing how fast they do this, feels like they rush and don't take the true time to make a true donut. read more

Cute little donuts with unique flavors, all of which live up to their names! They're a bit overpriced, but you must try just for curiosity. Follow them on Instagram and get a free donut. :) We got the cheesy poof, Paris time, green tea, and urban monkey--a dozen for $11. At a dollar a piece, it's definitely a luxury. Tucked away in a corner of the Chelsea Market lies this little doughnut shop churning out the littlest doughnuts, which initially seems like a cute, if not, unnecessary, idea. Upon entering you see a tiny conveyor belt dumping little ringlets of dough into hot oil and you're immediately captivated by the aroma of fried dough and sugar, but don't fall for this gimmick, as once you bite into one you'll discover that your initial hesitation to spend a dollar a piece for the smallest doughnuts you've ever seen was extremely warranted. A friend from out of town was visiting, so I decided to do something out of the norm, like buy doughnuts from this place, and on this occasion, the doughnut maker/cashier was blasting an Eminem album, probably circa 2002, so loud that she had to bend to hear your order, so it felt more like walking into some angsty teen's bedroom than an actual, happy little pastry shop. We ordered our doughtnuts (you only get to order two flavors if you buy 6), I got the sugar and the cereal-flavored one, and honestly I couldn't tell the difference between the two. They were nothing special and were mostly dry and if you wanted to have any type of sauce there was an extra fee. I'd rather go to Dunkin Donuts and spend a buck there for a full-sized donut over these gimmicky ones any day. I'd say that if you're in the hood, take a pass on this place. read more

It's located inside Chelsea market and there are huge crowds around, watching their tiny handmade donut set up (you can watch the tiny balls of dough being fried). The line was pretty short, and we ordered 12 donuts for 12 dollars, 3 donuts each of four flavors. These donuts were absolutely decadent. I really don't think you can go wrong with getting any one kind, but the one coated with sugar and chocolate cereal was my favorite - runner up was a "pumpkin spice" flavor which I also loved. Huge doughnut fan, so I've always wanted to try these out, but they were hugely disappointing. Coming out fresh from the machine, a friend and I waited in anticipation for these mini doughnuts. We tried 12 doughnuts, which allowed us to try 4 different flavors. We tried the Green Tea, the Paris Time (lavender, vanilla, pistachio), cinnamon sugar, and Fruity Cereal. The green tea and fruity cereal tasted like plain sugar donuts and we could NOT tell the flavorings if not for the markings on the outside bag. With the 12 doughnuts, we received a free dipping sauce (make sure to ask for it!) - dulce de leche - but it wasn't very flavorful. The Paris Time's lavender taste is strong, but it is pretty good. At least better than the others, but just be ready to eat potpourri ...doughnut style. The cinnamon sugar doughnuts were subpar as well. Sigh. read more

Just ordered a big pack of 25 for Father's day. Granted, the ones that we got were decent, but the order was ENTIRELY wrong!!! We ordered a mix of 5 different flavors, but got 5 of the basic glazed that we ordered, 5 of the wrong chocolate mix, and then FIFTEEN cinnamon sugar. Essentially they've got a single little frier that pumps out mini cake doughnuts. Just plain cake doughnuts and nothing else. When you place an order, the person behind the counter will take a few of those mini doughnuts and put them in a bag with flavored sugar. A few vigorous shakes and voila! You've got... well. You've got mini doughnuts sitting in a bag of colorful sugar. Womp, womp. I tried the Urban Monkey (Coffee, Banana, Coconut) and the Purple Pig (Maple, Purple Potatoes, Bacon). Neither flavor particularly excited me, which is a shame because they sound like exciting flavors! Ultimately it was just a muddled, sugary mess. And the doughnuts weren't hot and fresh as advertised--they were cold, so not much of the sugar stuck to them. I had to try to scoop sugar out of the bottom of the bag with each bite. And by "with each bite" I mean exactly two, because these are tiny doughnuts. For $6 I got 6 doughnuts. These doughnuts are not worth $1 a piece. Not even close. It's an interesting concept - tiny doughnuts that you dust in a specialty sugar. It's a bit pricey at about $1 per tiny doughnut. I'm glad to say that I've tried it, but I don't know that I would get it again. My friends and j split a couple of different flavors: - cacaoboy: definitely chocolatey, but not as sweet as I would've liked. I actually found it to be a little bitter - purple pig: I don't remember all the flavors that it was supposed to be. I only remember the bacon. I've had my eye on this place ever since I saw them featured on a must try donut list on Instagram. I was intrigued by their out of the ordinary sugar toppings especially the lavender, pistachio and vanilla combo. For 12 mini doughnuts, you pay $11 for a choice of 4 flavors. If you choose their plain flavors, then it'll cost $10. This is pretty pricey for a dozen tiny doughnuts, but I paid for the hype. I chose: Lavender, pistachio, vanilla - this was by far the best flavor! The hint of lavender perfumed the doughnut ever so slightly with the nuttiness of the pistachio and the gourmet taste of the vanilla all worked so beautifully together. Apple cider - eh it definitely does not taste like the cider donuts you get at the farm. Pb&j - I didn't taste much of the peanut butter and the grape flavoring was a little overpowering. Matcha green tea - great concept, but it didn't deliver on the matcha taste. Overall, I wouldn't pay this much money for these tiny doughnuts again. My kids call doughnuts sugar coated lies, but we are on vacation and I had moment of weakness. The make these little doughnuts fresh right in front of you. They have a variety of flavored toppings including vanilla or chocolate glazes, sprinkles, etc. I got 2 fruit cereal and 2 pumpkin pie brûlée. Holy crap they were good. Hot off the press! One of our favorite stops in the area, after Los Tacos. Luv the variety of sugar flavors so we usually get them all. Only downside is they can all mix together when leaving. We have a family of 6 to feed so we MUST bring some home. Paris Time, Purple Pig & Bam Berry are my FAVS, especially the Bam; Hubs is a major PB&J dude so he loves PBCP (I actually live too because it's not overly PBd & it has the kick of cayenne.) He also loves the Cardamom one. They're best eaten hot and/or as soon as you get home. They don't do overnights or microwaves well. We'll keep coming back for sure! read more
