I don't really understand the hype about this place. Me & my two friends went to the Lynbrook location and we ordered a dozen donuts 2 speciality. Maybe we went on a bad donut day I'm not sure but the donuts were not good and extremely small. They look 100% better in the photos on Doughology's social media. However the staff were very sweet so I guess that makes up for the not so good donuts. read more

The reviewers seem confused. You walk in and actually SEE the donuts frying. And they definitely taste fried. But some taste more cup cake-ish and toppings are sweet and goopy The big negative is the service. Long lines despite a lot of confused teenage girls running back and forth literally tripping over each other. read more

Finally came here on a day when it wasn't packed. Tried to order coffee, but they didn't have any made. Got a donut. They pulled it from a pre made batch, I shrugged paid and took a bite on my way out. Moments later I tossed it in the garbage... A big NOPE. Se my earlier review below ------------ I would love to rate this place on the food, but I haven't even tried it yet. I have been there twice now and haven't even gotten up to the counter to see what they have; let alone order. I have no idea what is going on in this place and neither do the people who run it. Tonight I grabbed the number 274 and then waited over 10 minutes to hear them call "256"-- I promptly walked out for, now, the second time. I think this place serves donuts with dips and toppings; I'm thinking Cold Stone but for confections; which sounds great but it's unclear how to order or what the process is, and with no ready made option, I don't understand how this place will last. Maybe I will be eating my words when the line is wrapped around the corner and everyone is raving about how good this place is, but for now, I am having a hard time imagining any donut is worth the wait. I wish them the best of luck, but I am not that determined to try a third time just to get a donut. Giving one star for the customer service. Drove all the way from Levittown and didn't stick around for the doughnuts. The service there was horrible. Stood around waiting on line while chaos was going on. Staff was yelling at each other . I was so confused what was going on. There were people in front of me who weren't waited on either. I get the feeling when walking in, that this place is relatively new and still trying to find its decor and brand identity however given the taste of the doughnuts and all the positive reviews, it just a matter of time before this place explodes into a full blown phenomenon for doughnuts. Ok, so I went back here today to try getting donuts again. This time, there were no other customers so I was waited on right away and there was less disorganization. The woman who seems to own the place was around, and there were several kids working behind the counter. I ordered a few donuts, including the Twix donut, blueberry cheesecake, Nutella, and French toast. When I got home and shared them with my family, two of the six donuts were peanut butter (not what I ordered), and the Nutella one tasted nothing like Nutella. The blueberry cheesecake and French toast were good, but nothing spectacular. I wish this place luck in the future, and I'm glad I finally got to try their product but I probably won't be back. read more

Doughnuts were delicious. I didn't create my own. Instead I went with the assorted dozen. Staff was friendly, patient and helpful. Remember to take a number when you walk in. The wait was a bit long but most likely because staff and customers are still learning the flow and what to expect. Regardless it was worth the wait. The only thing that was off was all the smoke in the store from the deep frying donuts. My jacket still smells like the store, which isn't the worst thing, but is kind of annoying. read more

They just opened a place in Atlantic Highlands so I go to try it. The menu was way too large and overwhelming and ridiculous. it's $2.60 for one tiny plain chocolate frosted doughnut. And its disgustingly sweet To the point I want to throw up. Never again. You ruined something simple like a donut. read more

I had heard a lot of mixed reviews in the past few months, so I wanted to come check this place out for myself! I was lucky enough to find parking on the street on a Sunday (almost) morning. There was a small children's birthday party going on in the front seating area, but there were still available tables for me to sit. Both workers were busy when I walked in, but I was acknowledged immediately and one of the girls let me know it would be just a few minutes. It smells amazing in here! The girls helping me were very friendly and pleasant. We ended up getting a dozen box, mainly because I couldn't choose what I wanted! It was approximately $20 for the dozen, which I consider fair for fresh, homemade doughnuts. I think that the doughnuts are made in plain batches throughout the day and they are created to order (per flavor/style) but I am not positive so don't quote me on that. Everything tasted extremely fresh and absolutely delicious -not a single doughnut was stale. We got black & white, crumb, churro, french toast, sprinkle, oreo, snickers, and lemon coconut. I think the Lemon Coconut was probably my favorite, which I did not expect! All in all, the shop is adorable, priced fairly, staff is pleasant, doughnuts are delicious. Saw this place as I was riding my bike through Long Island and needed to try it. Tried the Strawberry Shortcake and Maple Bacon donuts, both were very good. I just couldn't help but think that the maple bacon would of tasted so much better, warm. The staff is friendly, and setting is very casual. Some music in the background would be great. After seeing tons of pictures from friends on Facebook and Instagram, I HAD to try this donut place. It's on a main strip of restaurants and stores in Lynbrook, but it has a decent sized store so you can hang out and eat there instead of having to go on the run. They have a variety of flavors and combine peanut butter and jelly or they have s'mores donuts, etc. I love them because they are quality donuts with lots of flavor and they are freshly made. They definitely kick the butt of any fast food donut shop. You'll never go back to Dunkin Donuts after this. read more

Doughology is definitely a good spot to get fun donuts to try with friends. My favorites are the fruity pebble donut and the french toast which are both so so good. Only complaint is that the chocolate donuts always seem to be a bit dry. The vanilla donuts have yet to disappoint though! Been hearing people rave about this place for some time now, so I finally caved and made a trip to get some doughnuts. Nice little place, enough area and space to dine in. Over 16 different choices, I didn't even know where to begin. Brought these back home with us. My favorite was the french toast. I also enjoyed the churro, oreo and smores doughnuts. I'll be honest they look tastier then they actually are, but they still were delicious. A couple of them were dry, but I'm not sure how fresh they were. Either way I'm a fan. I live close to 30 miles away, so I don't think I'll be back any time soon, but if I ever find myself in the area,I'll probably stop by. read more

Just walking up to the store you get a strong whiff of the delicious doughnuts being made. You have two options - 1. Express bar: order fresh off their menu their doughnut specials of the day/week 2. Make your own: pick you doughnut flavor, icing and all the toppings you want. Initially went in to find their rainbow doughnut only to be informed it's a special and we need to follow their IG or FB announcement when they announce its availability. I ordered their strawberry doughnut and strawberry shortcake - both pretty good not too sweet and the dough was great. Not your typical dunkin donuts or Krispy Kreme where it's airy in the middle - it's dense in the middle and cakey. I'll be back and maybe make my own next time. read more

Finally got to try this place! Donuts were a bit on the small size but very yummy! We tried most of the chocolate ones (cookies n cream, Nutella, smores, etc) and they were all pretty good. The coffee (I had the iced cold brew) was also of good quality. Definitely a place to stop by. Kids will love it. They even have a create your own station but we didn't try it out yet. Came here yesterday with my boyfriend, We walked in and we were welcomed right away by the owner. She was so pleasant and patient with us. We told her it was our first time there and she explained the donuts they have, the special donuts of the day and how the donut bar works. We were looking for the rainbow cookie donut because we saw it on instagram and had to try it!! Apparently she had one in the refrigerator for some reason and was nice enough to let us have it, omg it was amazing!! They only make the rainbow cookie ones alternating sundays because it's hard work!! We got 7 donuts: 2 Reese's, a Nutella Chocolate Crunch, an Apple Strudel, a Devil Dog, a Blueberry Cheesecake, and a Samoa one All i can say is try one of everything lol!! They're super moist, flavorful and the flavor you get truly does taste like what it's supposed to be!! it's a cute place ; they have a bunch of pretty looking donuts with a menu that has variety. my boyfriend and i had a donut each and brought one to take home but felt that the donuts were more cake like. i'm a huge fan of donuts and really enjoy when they're made the right way. if you enjoy very sweet and sugary cake like items then this would be the place for you but i prefer my donuts to have more of a doughy feel and taste. however, the experience was pleasant and i can see why they do great business, it's just not my cup of tea. read more
