Stopped into Churchill's for a late lunch on a Thursday. While the bar area was buzzing, the dining…read moreroom was quiet and empty. We opted for the dining room, which has a cool, broody, tavern-like vibe with nice wood accents. Service was absolutely stellar. I asked to substitute a side that wasn't officially an option, and our waiter went out of his way to check with the kitchen and make it happen. Much appreciated! For appetizers, the mac and cheese was served hot and fresh with a great breadcrumb topping, and the pretzels were pure perfection--the accompanying cheese cup and fabulous mustard were a huge hit. For our mains, we ordered black bean patties, a burger, and a salad topped with grilled chicken. Zero complaints across the board. The burger and veggie patties were massive--plenty big enough to take half home for later--and came with a side of perfectly salted, thick-cut fries. Best of all, we never felt rushed or bombarded by our waiter, which is truly becoming a lost art. Highly recommend!

After that, I saw the waitress once during my meal, then she was nowhere to be found. I know the bar was packed for the Masters, only a couple of tables were occupied, but we were kind of left in the dust at a point. It took 20 mins to get the bull settled after asking for the bill. Had I known that I would have ordered another drink to have while I waited. Also as I was eating, I went to check my phone and almost instantly another staff member asked if I was done & if they can take my plate & cup, instead of asking if I wanted my water refilled or refilling it as I drank it, it sat empty most of the time & as I was about to leave I was asked if I wanted more water. The food & drink were definitely good, I wish the service was as good. Also, a bread basket for the table is $5.

They opened early to accommodate me and had the order prepared so it was 100% perfect! The owners, Kathleen and Naill were outstanding, friendly, professional and generally awesome. We ordered 7 meals and each needed some special tweak... NO PROBLEM. From salads, to salmon dinner and burgers and wings, each item was great. The flavor and selection were wonderful. All were served flavorful and tasty. Everyone enjoyed their food. I found this place by sheer accident but the friendliness and caring nature will have us coming back. THANK YOU.

It was a very cozy and inviting place, and by cozy I am not referring to size. We were served a basket of raisin bread as well as Irish soda bread which were good. I ordered the Tuscan chicken salad: a large chicken breast covered in delicious melted mozzarella, tomatoes, onions and balsamic, and served over ton of arugula. It was delicious and I had plenty to take home. My husband had the chicken pot pie which he found to be excellent: a large portion as well, with a light and airy crust and filled with a tasty sauce, vegetables and chicken. No leftovers there! No room for dessert or coffee sadly; the menu looked great.

First of all, my apologies to my wife. I was planning on splitting the New England clam chowder…read morewith her but it didn't make it home. In fact, it didn't make it out of the parking lot (see photo for evidence). I have no regrets, that chowder was full of chunks of clams, potatoes, celery, and corn. Buttery, creamy, and filling. Barely had room left for the Buffalo chicken popcorn shrimp but somehow I managed. Crispy, well-sauced, with just the right amount of punch. Took it to go but looks like a fun place to stay and eat. I was in and out with my food and still three employees said "Thank you, have a good day" or some iteration of that phrase. First time ever here, see you again real soon!

I have ordered takeout before but today I just needed a moment to sit and enjoy something comforting . This place and the chowder did the trick. The place has been around since the 30's so that says a lot. They do have tables outdoor under a tent but I love the nostalgic vibe of the inside counter with the little stools. You can watch them fry up all the goodies. I was immediately greeted, sat and my beautiful bowl of chowder came. The service is endearing and though my first time dining in, they treated me like I was a regular and they do with everyone. Maybe that's why they have been around so long. Good food is great but service that makes you feel like you are a regular is top tier. As The clouds rolled in the thunder struck and as the rain poured down, I enjoyed my lovely bowl of New England clam chowder. They are heavy on the fresh clams and just right on the potatoes. They do have the red chowder and their Long Island version which is a mix of the 2. This just hit the spot all around and on a day like I was having today, filled my soul. I'll BE BAck for the good fried goodies next time. Thank you!

We started with the ceviche, which was very good. I personally would have liked a little more lime, and I think having a spicy option would be a great touch. A little more of the base/sauce on the plate would have made it even better. We also ordered the chaufa and the half chicken, and both were excellent. My mom had the salmon, which she really enjoyed, and my daughter ordered the lomo saltado. The lomo was tasty, although I felt it could have come with a little more meat considering the price. Our waitress Odimar was awesome and really helped make my mom's birthday dinner special. We also had the chance to meet the owner, who came by the table to say hello -- very nice touch! Although... you did promise us shots! It's okay, we'll collect them next time! The entertainment was another highlight of the night. They had live music with Ricky Roma, and WOW -- he was so good! During his break they played some awesome Afro House, which I absolutely loved. The music and atmosphere really added to the entire experience. It is a bit on the pricey side, but overall I thought the food, atmosphere, service, and entertainment made it worth it. We had a great night and will definitely be back!
