There is no better way to start off a Sunday than with brunch! After hearing about this new and popular restaurant in Thornton, only a few minutes from our home, my hubs and I met up with a friend to see what it was all about. Located in a strip mall near multiple other restaurants and businesses, this place is brand new! It's small, cozy and welcoming. Decorated simply with wall hangings of inspirational quotes, this place is quaint and charming. Our server was super friendly and personable. He introduced himself immediately after we were seated, and was joking around with us throughout our meal. Our coffee was consistently refilled and he made sure we had all condiments/creamer needed before us even having to ask. The food is seriously outstanding! I ordered the 'Tasty" omelette, featuring guacamole, bacon, cheese, tomatoes and peppers. OMG SO GOOD! The omelettes come with 3 eggs, or you can order a size 'whimpy' with 2 eggs. Each omelette comes with english muffin or toast, along with cottage cheese or hash browns, pending if your in the mood to be healthy or not! My hubs ordered the Carne Asade "Papa". Each 'Papa" is a scramble of hash browns, cheese, and green or red chili - with your choice of meat and add ons. Our best friend who had a sweet tooth, decided try the Crepes covered in powdered sugar. Seriously, the food is drool worthy and there were so many options on the menu I wanted to try. The burger/sandwhich options looked just as good. And next time, I'll be sure to try the bloody mary! Wonderful customer service! The restaurant was clean and inviting and I loved the "love yourself " sentiments on the bathroom walls! What a nice way to start or end your meal! We came in a group of 3 and had the "BG", which is their griddle biscuits and gravy with eggs of your choice! One had the basic, which is your standard breakfast and one had strawberry crepes. The portions were so large we could have shared two meals and still Had left overs. The bacon was amazing also- thick cut and cooked perfect! You'll find that as a common mention in other reviews, main reason I added a side! Average cost per person before drinks is around 8-9.00 which is VERY reasonable for a great breakfast/brunch! It's insane to me that this place dosnt have a lower rating. This was with out a doubt the worst experience I've ever had eating out. The food was disgusting most parts were inedible. I understand they were busy but you would think the cook could take an extra minute to get it done right. And it would be nice if thy used separate plates instead of staking food on top of eachither so when my biscuit and gravy is sickening. At least the eggs and hash brown could stillget eaten but instead they ruin your whole plate. And the waitress could careless she saw I took one bite and wanted to throw up and didn't even ask if everything was OK or if she could help make it right in anyway. Try the homemade biscuits for a fun different taste treat! The delightful strawberry homemade jam creates a party in your mouth. The sliced tomatoes with light pesto is a nice potato alternative. I was super excited to have a local restaurant open in our neighborhood, but this place disappointed. I waited to review for quite a while as it's only fair to let them work out the kinks and get a good flow, plus I was rooting for them to be awesome. Fiirst there is the horrible parking. Yes I know they are in a shopping center so there is not much they can do, but when the weather is bad it's a dangerous walk. Also there is really no place to wait outside in the elements. The service is okay. I get your busy and there are a lot of people waiting; however, I don't like being made to feel that I am bothering you. A little smile and good cheer go a long way to help make a long wait less painful. My biggest issue is the food. The menu is good with many options. However everything really taste the same and is meh. I won't be back and that's unfortunate as I really want to support local businesses. read more

I use to love Doug's Diner. The food was great and the service even better. I don't know what happened but over the last few months the food is mediocre and the service is slow and cranky. And I can't remember the last time I actually received everything I ordered. I order online for home delivery often and it's always a guessing game as to what I might receive. For instance, over the course of the last 4 orders I paid for 2 orders of bacon each time. Order 1: 2 strips, 2: 8 strips, 3: 4 strips, 4: no bacon at all. It's so disappointing to watch one of your go-to places go downhill. Hopefully they can figure out their issues sooner rather than later. read more

I don't know why it took me so long to try this spot! We arrived at around 11am on a Saturday morning, I was expecting a wait but was pleasantly surprised to be immediately seated. The menu seemed to be homemade made with fresh ingredients! I ordered the skinny papas and man was it delicious! I had it smothered in green chili which is pork free! Stopped in while staying in Thornton on my way through CO. They have a large breakfast and lunch menu with breakfast being served all day. Good amount of seating inside with a small outdoor patio. Got the breakfast burrito with carne asada that was huge. All the meals I saw coming out were definitely good sized so you won't go hungry. Everything tasted very fresh, the carne asada meat had good flavor. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good local breakfast spot. read more
