This former food truck become bricks and mortar restaurant is a winner! Eclectic menu and everything I've tried is great. The clam and bacon brick oven pizza is terrific. Also the chicken wings with peanut and teriyaki sauce are crispy and delicious. Loved the fish tacos and the Caesar salad is half a head of romaine lettuce with Parmesan flakes and homemade dressing over top. The cocktails are also wonderful (try the old fashioned). I've eaten here before pandemic, during pandemic and curbside pickup. Each experience the staff is friendly, efficient and the food is fresh, well prepared (packed in eco-friendly paper -- no styrofoam here!). When it's busy can be a bit noisy inside, but after a year of quiet, I kind of like the bustle and noise. Outside tables too when it's warmer (No heaters or tent). I'll be back soon! read more

We just had fabulous meals here. I hadn't been back since the pandemic and am thrilled they survived. Everything was great. Homemade hummus to die for with zhug seasoning I had never had before but loved. Homemade pita like I've never tasted around here. I had the Pork Loin Scallopini with Piccata Sauce. Definitely large enough to share. SO GOOD!!! The sauce was perfect! My date had the Pasta and Meatballs, which I wondered why he ordered when there were so many unique items on the menu. But it wasn't run of the mill pasta and meatballs. Lightly sauced with red sauce with a kick on the end of the taste. Once again, enough to share. We didn't have dessert because we were beyond full and look forward to our lunch tomorrow of leftovers. read more

Seriously good food. The prices are a little more than I like to pay for lunch out with friends but it's worth it to me. Every dish is unique and if you have a picky friend, their fries are great! The ambiance is higher end for a corner store in the Uptown (not exactly known for their high-class establishments)...this feels like you're in downtown Seattle for your meal. First time dining here. First off I appreciate their mask mandatory policy and well spaced seating. Food was delicious. Started with the arancini, very tasty. My wife had the coconut chickpea curry and I had the lamb pita. Both dishes were very flavorful and nicely presented. My husband and I came here to dine for the first time. We genuinely forgot our masks, and upon setting one foot inside the door I was greeted "Do you have masks?" We replied that we didn't and asked if they had some we could wear to our table. We were told they didn't and we would have to leave. I work in the food service industry and a box of masks is always kept up front for customers who forget theirs. My restaurant would never turn away business. read more

What an amazing find after a day at Red Moubtain wineries. It can be a little tricky to locate in the uptown shopping center, but worth the search. The staff were great and the food was outstanding. The mushroom appetizer was our favorite dish, with the lebnah and the arrancini a close second and third. We ordered the Korean chicken tacos thinking we needed some meat. They were decent but would have gone for a second order of the mushrooms instead if we could do it again. read more

This place looked promising. Walked in to bad vibe. Hostess didn't even say hi just where's your mask? We want to eat outside we said and she was still a bit rude. While seating us she said don't get up with out a mask. The menu was unimpressive $18 for a small plate of angle hair pasta with no meat or anything. Love the Tapas (small plates) options. This restaurant really earns (4.5 stars). The wine markups however lowers the score. Fun-comfortable-modern furnishings with an open-spaced dining area. We enjoyed sitting near the fairly open kitchen and enjoyed watching the Chefs prepare the various Tapas. Dovetail offers (13) Tapas representing various Mediterranean Cuisines individually priced between $4.00-$8.00 (except the sizzling shrimp, butter, garlic, chile flake Tapa @ $12.00). All Tapas are large enough to share between (2) people and three Tapas would be ample servings to share. In addition, they have (2) Salad Options and (6) Main Options ($6.00-$11.00). The "Main Options" are larger servings than the Tapa Plates and are different than the Tapa Options. (2) "Main Options" shared between two people would work. The restaurant also prepares (5) different Pizzas cooked in their Apple Wood-Fired Pizza Oven imported from Italy. Wine Glassware is excellent ..... However, the wine mark-ups are high. The restaurant charges $10.00 corkage fee which might be a better option. We will definitely be back and try other different delicious "Tapas" and "Mains" on our next visit. Suggestion: better parking-lot street signage is needed. read more

Tried this place today with some friends for lunch. Three of us had the gumbo, excellent, just the right amount of spice. Our buddy had the Baja taco, he wanted seconds, maybe next time. The drink selections were diverse and very good. Thought the beer list offered a good variety, satisfied our varying tastes. Will definitely try this place again. I'd give it 4 1/2 stars. The only reason for not doing 5 is that it is Noisy. I don't know what they can do to fix that; but it would be nice if they did something to bring down the noise level. I walked in, wearing a mask, and was seated. I was told immediately if I left the table to wear a mask at all times. I was not welcomed to their restaurant but I was told about the mask policy. I was waiting for a friend and was not asked if I wanted something to drink for over 10 minutes. When I finally got my wine, my friend arrived shortly thereafter and was again- not welcomed to the restaurant- but told by another waitress that our server was on the phone and she (my friend) was to wear her mask at all times except when seated. She then asked for a menu in printed form, as she has trouble viewing the menu on her phone and was told, "I will see if I can find one". There was a stack of printed menus right behind her, which the waitress promptly grabbed. Why was she told "I will see if I can find one"? A large group came in and was being seated and both of the waitresses were gathering napkins and silverware for their table and my friend leans over and asks if she can get a glass of wine as well, as she had not been asked yet and had been sitting there for over 5 minutes. After she ordered, we sat there while our waitress worked on this other table and then she proceeded to the bar to get drinks for another customer. She was completely ignoring us. At this point, we decided to leave the restaurant. Service was horrible, our waitress had an attitude and I would NEVER go in there again based on the 'lack' of service that we had!!!! read more

Got take out last night and it was quick and they brought it out to our car. The food was really good! Fresh, unique and delicious! We had a couple different salads (fattoush and beet) which were salads I had never had before, but that I would love to have again! We also got the falafel on pita and a lamb kabob on pita. We arrived a little early. Four waitstaff stood watching us. Finally, a person who I assume was the hostess seated us. We requested water and a beer. My son drank his water quickly; we had to ask for a refill. I ordered a Coke. The waitress could have brought water? Nope. We ordered. My husband said we'd had our shot since she reminded us to mask up if we leave the table. Snarky comeback. So, our food is being prepared. We see the gnocchi coming out of a container? It was not good. The dip was great but, seriously, serve it with two pitas? Shrimp was greasy and not sizzling. The taco was ok. The peanut curry was fabulous. Sadly, waitresses stood by the kitchen and appeared to be gossiping. Don't point at your customers. It's rude. When we finished and went to pay, a 20% tip was added automatically. Hmmmm....maybe fill the water glasses and lose the snark if you're adding a 20% tip. There were four of us. I guess I think it's my choice what I'd like to tip! read more

Hubby and I went for drinks and appetizers and we were Impressed. Loved the ambiance, we were quickly greeted and seated. Our waitress was great and when I wasn't thrilled with the first drink I ordered, management took it off our bill and made me one that was great! We were thrilled to eat here. First off, the food was delicious-- like, cravable. I rarely feel that way. We loved the Labne and Patatas. All of the food was really well portioned and very affordable. This is a great place to share plates with friends, or enjoy a wide variety of food for yourself. Ate here the night before last and was disappointed. The menu is all over the place, with no discernable theme or common food origin, but I had hummus with pita(appetizer), arancini(appetizer) and the Baja fish tacos. The hummus tasted good, but definitely had sour cream added(restaurant trick to save money), and the pita bread was burned black on one side. You could see and smell that it was burned and they served it anyways. They weren't so busy that they had an excuse for this. Also, I strongly suspect that my pita bread was, in reality, a tortilla. That or it was the thinnest pita bread I've ever seen. (it was a tortilla). Oh, by the way, I'm lactose intolerant so thanks for the surprise sour cream in my hummus. Next, the arancini: a silver dollar sized fried rice puck on a bed of fried celery. The texture of the puck was not unpleasant but I could detect no discernable flavor. The fried stuff underneath was underwhelming and mainly seemed to be present to fill the dish and make the customer feel less disgruntled about how much they're paying for a single, tiny, unremarkable rice puck. Last the fish taco, and while I may sound like a food snob, I am not. I make my nachos with canned cheese product. I've eaten(and enjoyed)Chinese food from the grocery store deli counter within the last week. My point is that the fish taco was a disaster. They take a tiny tortilla and stuff so much fish and coleslaw in it that when I took a bite the tortilla ripped and cabbage spilled onto my lap. The fish was overcooked, so the breading was hard , and the coleslaw was bland. The whole thing was bland. I make fish tacos with frozen, store bought fish sticks and homemade salsa and theyre food enough that I'm still mad at myself for wasting almost $100 on a meal that I could have stayed home and made better myself. Also had a hard apple cider to drink and was impressed by the overall ability of this establishment to disappoint me in every way. The cider was sour and unpleasant and cost the better part of ten bucks. . I know sometimes wine can turn into vinegar while fermenting, maybe that's what happened here, but it didn't taste like hard cider at all. I can't for the life of me figure out why this place is so popular right now, I would readily describe the experience as a 'dumpster fire' from start to finish, including the smells and ambiance . read more

We waited a very long time to get in (didn't make a reservation) but we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We tried quite a few things and cleaned off all the plates. Everything was great. I went with a friend for lunch and we both thought our food was amazing. Our wait person was perhaps not the most knowledgeable but she was eager to please and went to ask questions whenever we had a question for her. They have a very complete beer and wine list.I had African peanut curry and my friend had the ricotta and spinach gnocchi. The food was spot on and portions filling. Only suggestion, the benches along the wall are not comfortable-too wide or too high? We both tried it, so suggest sitting in the chairs. The food is fantastic and we will be back! read more

Joined friends for supper here. They require all parties to be available before seating, which seems quite formal for a place with almost a fast-food ambiance. Tables were small, sparse and close together. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and a main courses. First, the drinks: two of us had a martini. They were $13 (more than some of the main courses). They came in tiny glasses and were not more than a measly shot. This is disappointing given the price point, and were unexceptional with well vodka/gin and tiny olives. The appetizers were generous and quite delicious and so were all our main courses. The wait staff were professional and nice. The checkout was awkward with the waiter showing you your portion of the bill on a handheld screen. No leaving a check to talk things over or give anyone an opportunity to just lay down a card. Almost felt like payment on demand (so much for your visit, dig out your wallet) NOW. So good food, good service, so-so drinks and meh ambiance. read more
