Wow. I just had some of the best barbecue I've had in ages. It's not in Texas, it's not in Kansas…read moreCity, or Korea; its in Tillamook, Oregon. My wife and I stumbled on this place, and were immediately intrigued by the beautiful new food cart area that was built that also includes a restroom and a sheltered area. It's also right by a couple of craft breweries, which is great to hit up after a nice meal. I ordered a large chili pork tots, and wow, the portion is huge for eight dollars! It felt about a couple pounds, and not just all potatoes. There was a very generous portion of meat, chili and cheese. The meat itself falls apart very easily, with a nice tanginess. It goes great on the tots, and I was not disappointed at all. My wife order a large pulled pork sandwich, which was also excellent. The meat tears away nicely when taking a bite from the sandwich, and it wasn't so wet that the bun disintegrates. The gentleman at the cart also added coleslaw to the sandwich, which gives it a cool crunch to contrast with the hot meat If you're in Tillamook and want an option that's a bit different, come on down and give this cart a try.

RIBS SO TENDER AND TASTY YOU DON'T NEED KNIVES NOR SAUCE!…read more I'm not exaggerating when I say these are some of the best ribs I've ever had! My girlfriend usually dislikes ribs, but found these heavenly too. The fats melt in your mouth, and the dry spice seasoning is superb. They also come with a side of crispy tater tots. (The ribs are currently only available on Saturdays though - we got lucky!) The clam chowder is also unique because it is thick and starchy. Ours came loaded with potato, bacon, and of course clams! We ended up here by a serendipitous chain of events: Tillamook Factory was too crowded, our intended neighboring Hawaiian food truck was closed, and we got suckered by free samples, which we immediately fell in love with. This place is bound to get popular on Yelp, so we're so glad to have stumbled upon it first!

This is a very casual, mostly locals, brewery and restaurant. I have eaten here a number of times,…read moreboth for breakfast and dinner. I have gotten the breakfast burrito when having breakfast and would characterize it as large, yet underwhelming in taste. None of the beers that i have tried are particularly memorable, but they are very drinkable. The service is courteous and they strive to keep the tables clean. The ordering here is done at the counter and I have found this to be a great way of taking orders in a casual establishment. This allows one to peruse the menu at a table at one's own speed, then walk up to the counter to ask any questions about the menu and then place the order. My experiences have been that the employee at the register has always been patient, informative and respectful. They bring your order to your table when it is ready. My experience is that they give you a conservative estimate of the time for preparing and the real time has been shorter. Note that I think they do a good job with turnaround times given how many customers are in the restaurant combined with their apparent significant take-out business. My dinner experiences have been very satisfying and that is what one would expect from a meat purveyor. However, they do not fumble the ball on the execution. Casual food, but tasty. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating: plenty of both. Part of the outside seating is heated and covered during much of the year. I have never been there when you could not choose a table. I think a great casual stop, and a unique one, when visiting the Tillamook area.

The people at the information booth were friendly and personable. And now for what needs improvement! Customer service at the cafe was not friendly. And on two separate days we were there and still couldn't figure out how things work. They give you a buzzer but then you also see people delivering food to tables. The first day, our buzzer went off several times but nobody brought us anything. I finally approached the person who was delivering food and he said we needed to go up to the register to get our order. What? Back to the registers where there is a huge line? If that's the case, have a designated pick up area. And why do some orders get delivered and others don't? Make it make sense. And be clear about it when hand the buzzer to guests. The second time we stopped in, we ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee for my husband. The girl at the register asked if we wanted anything else and as I was looking for other drink options, she finalized our order, said the total and walked away. I found that rather rude. Guess I didn't get a drink. Later we saw her just standing at the register with her arms crossed. If she's that miserable less than an hour after opening, perhaps a customer facing job isn't for her. The patio door in the cafe also needs to be fixed so it's not banging every single time someone goes thru it. I would suggest anyone visiting enjoy the self-guided tour, maybe grab some ice cream, but go get food elsewhere. Oh, and as to how the food was - it was just ok. Nothing outstanding and overpriced IMO.

Ice cream is my favorite food - I would be in trouble if I lived close to here!…read more I went with a group of 11 people, 4 adults, 7 kids. We all really enjoyed ourselves. We liked watching the process of making and packaging the cheese ( there really should be some kind of line -start at station 1 and then move along - I know it's designed to do this but there were people just jumping back and forth which because frustrating) The ice cream is delicious - I had to get a flight - my eyes were bigger than my stomach but it was worth it! I do wish the ice cream shop was open later or they had a separate one in town - we stayed in Tillamook for two nights and would have gotten ice cream after dinner every night if it was open!
