Wooza, this is such a cool and unique place. If you have a large family or a few sets of friends…read moreand want to get away to forget about all the norms of everyday life, this is the spot for you. I've stayed at the lodge 3 times so far and look forward to the tranquility everytime. It's a hidden gem in Grass Valley right off Highway 49 (2-3 hours drive from the bay area). It's very close to several great spots on the Yuba river where you can spend the day swimming and bathing in the sun. The lodge is great for large groups, has three very nice bedrooms in the main building, another one attached to the yoga studio (which is just steps away), and a HUGE attic area upstairs that spans the whole length of the house and has something like eight beds up there. There's a great big commercial size kitchen so prep, cooking, and cleaning is quite easy. The main room is open concept with an expansive dining table, a large living room area, and an old fashion salon style bar. Relaxation is the key to this place! There is no TV; only the sounds of joyous laughter when you sit around the living room sharing stories or out in the back patio area surrounded by nature and a small babbling brook. Beyond the herb/vegetable garden is a chicken coup and a fun kick it spot where we usually roast marshmallows at night. Just past that is a large pavillion to make the occasion a little more formal. The owners, Trish & Mark have really created a wonderful and unique slice of paradise.

Willow Springs offers both luxury accommodations as well as upscale camping with its own community kitchen. Willow Springs was designed for comfort for large gatherings with a spacious living room/dining room/wet bar area and a well equipped chef’s kitchen to feed your group efficiently. For those that want to enjoy the fresh air of the Tahoe National Forest we also offer a fully fenced camping area that sleeps an additional 20+ people. Enjoy a farm setting with a touch of forward thinking by wandering thru our permaculture garden, culinary and medicinal herb garden, unplug in our yoga studio, wood-burning sauna or 6-person hot tub and take home memories from an evening of s'mores at our bon fire under the stars. Our event terrace, open-air pavilion, and outdoor beverage bar caters to special events. We are conveniently located to numerous Yuba River swimming holes, boating and fishing on Bullards Bar Reservoir, hiking, biking, and more. Unfortunately, the bugs were so bad that you had to swat away from the parking area all the way to the cabin - so we did not get to enjoy the river that afternoon. Then when we got unpacked, the place was not very clean in the areas you would expect: The base of the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while; they tried to staple down the vinyl flooring laid up against the bath cabinet; there was black all around the sink stopper; no blinds where there should have been for privacy; bottom 6-7 slats missing in the living area; no lamps for lighting to read in the living room; dishes and eating utensils did not look very clean; and some funky towel/curtain at the toilet which faces out towards the walkway for the other two cabins. And there was only one plugin heater so we were having to move it around from room to room when the temp dropped. They need at least two. I would not rent any cabin from this site after this experience. I give it only 2 stars because of the location. The owner needs to get their act together if they're going to be in the hospitality business

The gorgeous design and attention to detail with the structures design and both interior and exterior design, are breathtaking. The infinity pool with stunning views is like we have never seen before, and the sunset over the valley as seen from the front of the home, is magnificent. We highly recommend staying with them or hosting your event at their beautiful home.

We live in San Francisco so having…read morethe luxury of just gazing out into the middle of nowhere with complete silence doesn't exist. Our son was turning one month and that is exactly what we were looking for, a couple of days away from the busy city life. We didn't want noises of cars driving by, people roaming the streets and having conversations outside of your bedroom window. I came across this place while surfing airbnb and we couldn't have been any happier that we found it. Briana was a great host! She gave me a call within a few hours of me booking the place online. She advised me that it would be smart to have all of my grocery shopping done prior to arriving at Casa Bella Verde as there are no stores in the immediate area and she also advised me of the unpaved road that is leading up to the house when you turn off the main road. Having the knowledge of these things was very helpful. The "guest house" that you stay in has everything that you might need to have a weekend (or even longer) of relaxation. The guest house is very modern with the amenities one might need and not need. We were particularly fans of the jacuzzi hot tub which is big enough to fit 4 adults. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the deck which has some amazing views. As a host, we couldn't have asked for a better one. When we got there she did a walk through with us to explain to us on how all of the gadgets work (everything is very high tech.) The fridge was stocked with eggs, some english muffins, and orange juice. As we were making dinner we realized we forgot olive oil and balsamic, I had asked Briana is she by chance had any and without a doubt she did. Within a couple of minutes of me asking I was able to walk over to the main house and there was what we had asked for on the kitchen counter. Thank you for everything Briana and I look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

Dear Tongming and Faith,…read more I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional experiences we have had at Harmony Ridge Lodge over the past five years. Nestled in the Tahoe National Forest, your lodge remains our favorite getaway and truly feels like a home away from home. Every visit is spectacular, and the service we receive is always outstanding. We especially enjoy the serene atmosphere of the whimsical gardens and the comfort of the nine spacious suites. Having access to the entire lodge--including the front lounge and the kitchen for cooking meals and hosting karaoke--makes our annual two-night stay incredibly special and seamless. We are consistently impressed by your dedication, professionalism, and hospitality. You both go above and beyond to make us feel like family, and the intimate experience you provide is unmatched. Thank you for maintaining such a safe and pleasant retreat. We look forward to many more visits and will continue to highly recommend the lodge to anyone looking for a perfect venue for weddings, retreats, or family getaways.

Harmony Ridge Lodge was truly more than perfect for our wedding. One of the biggest reasons we…read morechose this venue was that it gave us a whole weekend with our family and bridal party, and that ended up making such a huge impact on our experience. Some of the most intimate and meaningful memories were made before and after the wedding, during breakfast, late into the night after the rest of the guests had left, and in all the quiet little moments in between. It made the entire weekend feel so special, connected, and full of love. And the beauty of the venue is honestly hard to put into words. Choosing a venue is such a big decision because it sets the entire tone and vibe of the wedding, and Harmony Ridge Lodge was truly the magical enchanted forest garden party venue of our dreams. Our wedding was on June 13, and the flowers, greenery, trees, and forest backdrop must have been at their absolute peak. Everything felt like it belonged in a fairy tale. The string lights, lanterns, gardens, and surrounding forest made the whole space feel warm, romantic, and magical. We had our rehearsal dinner here too, and brought in some Mexican catering, which ended up being a great way to maximize our time at the venue and it was so fun! For other engaged couples navigating the venue layout: there are many options for where to have your ceremony ( in the forest or gazebo), and dancing (renting a dance floor to have near the dinner area or the dance pad out front). We had our ceremony at the gazebo which was epic and beautiful and our dance party out front at the dance pad. Up until the wedding itself, I was worried that having dinner and dancing in separate spaces would split up the guests, but it ended up being perfect. Everyone was on the dance pad all night, there was so much space, and it looked so beautiful once the lights came on. It created such a fun and lively atmosphere. The breakfast was also incredible. Our chef was amazing, and we had several vegan guests who were so grateful to have thoughtful vegan options that actually had protein, flavor, and care put into them instead of just toast and fruit. That meant so much to us and to our guests. Thank you so much to everyone at Harmony Ridge Lodge for making our wedding so memorable, smooth, easy, lovely, and perfect in so many ways. We are so grateful we got to celebrate our wedding weekend in such a magical place.

As a Type A over-planner, I was determined not to let that happen. But the moment we arrived at Twenty Mile House, I realized I didn't have to be the control freak I usually am. The TMH team handled every detail with such calm professionalism that I was able to relax and truly enjoy the experience. From the very beginning, we were impressed. Our virtual tour with Rachel made us fall in love with the venue; Kevin and Karen worked with us to make our budget work, Joe gave us a wonderful tour when we returned after booking; and Ashleigh patiently answered all of my questions--no matter how late I sent them. The venue itself feels like something out of a storybook. Every one of our guests raved about the beautiful setting, the accommodations, the incredible staff, the ceremony site, and even the fact that there wasn't a restrictive noise ordinance. Everything exceeded our expectations. Not a day has gone by since our wedding that I haven't said, "I wish I could do it all over again." Choosing Twenty Mile House was one of the best decisions we made, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.
