I have been here twice and both times I got what I needed. Service is great, I called before to ask if they had a wine I was looking for and the lady answered my call nicely and told me she had the wine after she went and looked for it. Once I got there, she recognized me. Clean place, good prices, and a huge variety of products.

Awesome looking - and tasting - soup

Y'all remember the story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears right? You know, the too hot, too cold, just right deal? A lot of places here serve soup to a temperature that requires having the Miami Fire Department on speed dial. Just because it's 60 degrees and I need soup to warm up doesn't mean I want to get third degree burns. Here's where Stop and Shop picks up it's 5th star. These days of freezing temperatures in Miami I have actually had to partake in soups. Today, for example, I had the chicken noodle soup. (Their soup selections vary daily, and they usually have two choices). The soup container is generous both in terms of volume, and the contents itself as the soup is hearty, has plenty of actual chicken pieces, and veggies in addition to noodles. And the soup was at the JUST RIGHT temperature! Of course, they're also known for their sandwiches and in addition to the honey ham one I've had prior, I've also gotten to enjoy the honey turkey and buffalo chicken ones. As usual, the pieces of ham are plentiful and they have my craved-for red peppers! Since I had to get back to my 9-to-7 I couldn't sample the beers just yet but did stroll around the store and saw the selection is plentiful. I plan to finally partake in those this weekend!

AMAZING SELECTION of Boars Head deli meats & cheese.

FIVE STAR DELI AND MORE!!!! These guys make the best subs in South Florida. This is NOT your typical convenience store which just happens to sell sandwiches. This is a legitimate full size Deli & Bakery, which just happens to be located inside of a (incredible) convenience store. I believe a great sub starts with the bread. Some places bake all of their bread very early in the morning. At Downstairs I always see them pulling out small batches of banquettes, fresh from their oven throughout the entire day. Besides the banquette and Italian Hoagie which are my personal favorites, they also have whole wheat, Cuban and a few more which I haven't tried. Then comes the quality of their cold cuts, meats and cheeses. They only use BOARS HEAD and everything is sliced right there in front of you. Besides having all the traditional deli staples such as Pastrami, Corned Beef, Roast Beef, Honey Glazed Ham, Oven Roasted Turkey etc, you will also find some Boars Head specialties like Cajun Turkey Breast and Jerk Turkey. They have a large selection of fresh vegetables and toppings to choose from if you want to make your own "custom" sub. I recommend choosing one of their 15 or so "signature" subs which are listed on the board right above the counter. My top 5 subs, in no particular order, is the Brisket with cole slaw & BBQ sauce on a baguette; the Reuben; the Prosciutto di Parma with mozzarella & olive oil; the Spanish Chorizo; and the Pastrami (either hot or cold). I always see 2 or 3 people working the deli, I guess that's what keeps the short line constantly moving. I highly recommend you check them out next time your in the mood for a true deli style sandwich. I've also been to some of their other Downstairs locations and the deli quality is consistent. I believe they are all family owned & operated. They also have a VERY impressive selection of craft beer. TIP: Next time your having friends over the house for a get together or to watch a game, buy a few different 12" subs and tell them to cut each sub into 5 or 6 pieces. These make an excellent party platter.

This is just half. Boardhead prosciutto, real mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, oil, basil. I threw in some spinach and spicy mustard.

Mainzer's German Deli

Think of Mainzer's Deli as a Bavarian bodega. Sure, you could do a bit of grocery shopping, but…read morelet's be honest, you're here to hunt down oddball snacks and niche sundries you didn't know you needed. Open since the '70s, these Pinecrest pioneers launched their Central European mini‑market as a side hustle, all while earning their keep as classical musicians. That kind of multitasking deserves a drink. Start smart with a refreshment like Almdudler. The closest American parallel is a love child of Dr. Pepper and Sprite, but that sells it short. This Austrian classic is a bit herbal thanks to elderflower and sage, yet snaps with lemon zest, and happily moonlights as a mixer for beer, wine, vodka, and even cold brew. Honorable mentions go to Apfelschorle (apple juice spritz) and the pride of Salzburg's suds, Stiegl blond lager. Whether you believe the lozenge or the tea came first, Ricola Schweizer Kräutertee, an instant herb tea, will knock a cold flat on its back. In my home, it completes an anti‑illness trinity alongside Advil and Vicks VapoRub. Mainzer's also stocks a tight but thoughtful lineup of German personal‑care creams and cosmetics, because sometimes your sinuses and skin are on red alert. The deli slings cold sandwiches stacked with Schinken (ham) or Gelbwurst, a pork‑and‑veal bologna seasoned with ginger, nutmeg, and white pepper that can be customized with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, or mustard. Hot subs come piled onto rolls with sauerkraut and mustard. The Brat and Weisswurst lead the sales, but the Double-Smoked BLT remains a point of almost defiant pride for the Mainzer clan. I could keep waxing poetic about all the shelf treasures, but this women‑owned piece of Pinecrest history demands boots on the ground. Dive into the unusually deep selection of chocolates and marzipan, debate the finest ketchup for a currywurst, and boldly snack where few South Floridians have snacked before.

Not a great brat. I was made to feel like I wasn't wanted compared to another customer that was a…read more"regular". If you want German products it's a good place to go.

If you love bagels, love quality nova, love a great platter, love those pickles and cole slaw (best…read morein town!), fresh roasted coffee and love great service in a comfy setting, then Roasters N' Toaster is the only deli for you in South Florida. I've been coming to the Roasters original Pinecrest location for 26 years. And for most of those Ivan has been working Sunday mornings! Their bagels are always on point, which I usually request to be scooped and toasted (my technique is cream cheese first, then whitefish salad inside the scoop) and come in all the good flavors, but none of the not a bagel flavors. Their nova comes in multiple grades (regular and Acme(tm)) which is sliced by Florida's top professional "nova slayer" in such a way that it is just better than the best you'll have anywhere else. Their whitefish salad is the most classic and perfectly prepared I have had anywhere. The original Roasters is the only NY Deli in Miami that always lives up to the name.

Everyone from the bartenders to the server, to the hostesses were all extremely lovely and accommodating. They were very hospitable and made sure that any request that we had would be attempted. We ordered the Swordfish special and Cacio E Pepe pasta. The pasta was good but the swordfish was really what was cooked to perfection! It was not too soft but not rubbery at all. I liked the lemon caper butter sauce as well. We also grabbed a burrata because...why not? It was also decadent and scrumptious despite it being a slightly small portion size but still adequate for two to share. We were also asked if we wanted any extra cheese on top of the pasta which we definitely obliged! The lighting was gorgeous on the patio and very romantic. It was a nice spot right in the heart of Coral Gables and the nice experience has me wanting to return so soon.

He was joking around with us while recommending some great options too. I ordered the Piccola Selezione as an appetizer and for my main I ordered the Cacio e Pepe. The asthetics inside were really nice and was well air conditioned. For drinks we ordered Molecola and Limonata. 10/10 experience and will be coming back!
