Everyone raves about this place so we went here once to give it a try and left disappointed. The appetizers were good but the entrees weren't. The lamb was overcooked and the chicken dish was bland. Maybe we were a one-off experience but we just don't see what the hype is all about. I went with 4 other women who all felt the same way so I'm not a Karen, I promise! lol I love showcasing the best of Miami so find me on IG @ chloexmorgann

Delicious food and super refreshing cocktails. The salads are solid too. They really should add an authentic Turkish soup though, kind of surprising it's not on the menu. Other than that, everything was good. Next time I will sit at the bar!

Doya, doya, doya. This dinner was by far one of the best Turkish and Greek meze style experiences I've had so far! This modern Aegean restaurant in Wynwood sits on a very busy street, so if you're Ubering, I highly recommend getting dropped off a block away and walking. It's a one way street and traffic can get backed up, especially during dinner service. The place itself is an absolute vibe. The energy, music, and atmosphere all made for a fun night out. The service was incredible and our server's recommendations were spot on as everything we ordered was fantastic. The branzino was easily my favorite dish of the night and one of the best I've had. We came as a group of six, and this spot is perfect for both small and larger groups. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and the party like atmosphere makes it a great place to enjoy drinks, good food and music. If you're visiting Miami, you won't regret coming here. Highly recommend Doya and would definitely come back!

I'm really sad to say this cause the food was solid but unfortunately the experience was not. To start, our reservation was at 8:45 but we weren't sat until 9;15. On top of that, It was literally 83 degrees inside. Then they were out of half of the menu items. Not mad just disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high but I feel like for the amount they are charging, the food does not compensate for the lack of atmosphere/service.

Parking in Wynwood can feel a little sketchy when you first pull up -- lots of nightlife, lots of energy, and not the easiest area to find a comfortable spot. That said, once we stepped into this Lebanese spot in Wynwood, the entire vibe changed. The space is beautiful in a relaxed, unpretentious way. The patio is spacious and charming, with simple tablecloths that make it feel welcoming rather than overly trendy. It's the kind of place where people linger over plates and conversation. I was visiting Miami and honestly didn't want to dress up or overthink dinner -- just wanted something authentic and satisfying. This place delivered. Before ordering, I asked our server a few times which options were halal, and he kindly reassured me that the lamb was. That kind of attentiveness immediately made the experience more comfortable. We ended up sharing a larger platter with lamb, fries, and plenty of bread. The food was simple in the best possible way: great spices, flavorful sauces, and really well-cooked meat. The eggplant fatteh and Beirut hummus stood out, and the grilled octopus was excellent. Everything tasted fresh and balanced without trying too hard. Service was warm and attentive -- water glasses refilled without asking, quick check-ins to make sure we had everything we needed, but never hovering. We couldn't finish everything and happily took home extra bread along with some meat and fries. It turned into one of those unexpectedly lovely Miami evenings: good food, easy atmosphere, and a place you'd happily return to with friends. Wynwood may feel chaotic outside, but inside this spot it's all hospitality, flavor, and a reminder of how comforting a simple, well-executed me

Amazing!! One of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have been too. We ordered a bunch of food and everything was amazing! My favorite was the tomato salad, grouper ceviche and the roasted cauliflower. The pita bread that comes out is delicious and warm. The beet dip is amazing. The pistachio lamb skewer was really good but we would try something else next time. The wood fired chicken was also very good and the salad it comes with was delicious. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the glazed eggplant. I would probably get the doya eggplant next time. They were amazing with my shellfish allergy and were very nice about kids. We sat outside the atmosphere and vibe was great and the service was awesome. Will be back for sure.

Thank God for Doya - what an outstanding restaurant. The vast, tapas-style menu keeps you wanting to come back for more and more and more. I'm sure you could go there a couple of days in a row and try something completely new each time. It's amazing really!   Food was so flavorful, and so interesting. I got to try things I would never have thought to put together (short-rib baklava) and marvel at solid takes on well-loved favorites (lamb chops).   Places like these remind me of the beauty of dining and that sometimes, paying a little extra does in fact get you an outstanding meal. Thank you Doya.

**Vegetarian Friendly** Went to Doya after a year, and noticed they updated their menu with a handful of new items - majority of them being vegetarian friendly so we were tempted to give this place another chance. (1) Turkish Flatbread - They replaced pita with the flatbread/tortillas. The flat bread is served cold, and just doesn't complement the dips like pita bread does. Huge thumbs down. (2) Doya Delight - Labneh was delicious and the sweetness from honey complemented well. (3) Green Goddess - It was a good blend between a tzatiki and feta, but was hoping for a robust flavor with herbs, but it just fell flat. (4) Brussel Sprouts - they skimped on the sauce/dressing that this was just roasted veggies now. (5) Muhammara - same as before. It's good, but not great. Overall, food is still okay. It was already overpriced, but now it's astronomically overpriced now. I would rather dine elsewhere at these prices.

I agree with the other reviews about the hostess being a bit unwelcoming. I went there Wednesday night by myself and asked for a table for one. I was given the directions to the bar. I went back to them to cross check if that's what they meant and yes they were. There didn't give me a table inspite of many vacant tables. It's a week night and only one third of the tables were occupied. I understand if they didn't have enough staff to cover the tables or if they had a different reason. But the way they handled it was a bit disappointing I was too tired by then and already paid for the parking so ended up ordering the food. I had Beyti (lamb wrapped in lavash) and I liked it. It's also my first time trying it. The service at the table was good though. On my way to the washroom, I saw that it's a Michelin restaurant. I was even more surprised.

Received a dinner invite from MasterCard about a special event for card holders at Doya located at 347 NW 24 Street, Miami. We were there for a Marlins game so we decided to experience a Turkish dinner. Parking is a challenge as we found out (valet parking out front wanted $20-$40 WOW!) We drove around and found a "pay for park" metered city spot for $7 (2hrs) 400 ft away. When we walked in we were warmly greeted by the hostess who confirmed our reservation & invited us to join our friends & family at the bar. Bartender was friendly and showed us how Rakee (native to Albania & Turkey) is prepared. We have never seen it available outside of Albania. Super strong alcohol drink not for the faint of heart. In mins the host invited us to our table. Our server, "Michaala" was on point with every recommendation. Food is ordered family style w/small plates. We ordered 9 small plates and everything was delivered in 5-10 minutes. Brussel sprouts, Manti (beef dumplings w/garlic yogurt), Dolmades (grape leaves, pine nuts, & spiced rice), roasted carrots (like a hummus with feta, tahini, pepper oil honey), spicy tomato (walnuts, sumac, mint, oregano onion & pomegranate), Pide w/truffle wood fired with Kasseri cheese). Our server kept track of water & continued to refill our glasses & check with us. The dinner included free champagne, a special cocktail each and a custom dessert of mixed berries compote, mastic pudding, balsamic honey caviar, sable cookie, fresh berries (so good!). Perfect ending to a wonderful meal. At no time were we rushed to turn the table. Definitely make a reservation. We arrived at 6 PM and by 7:30 the restaurant was full. Ask for Micaaela's table as she was great, but all of the servers seemed to be professional. The owners came by the table to welcome our table & invited us to call ahead by calling him directly next time. Definitely a 5 star experience & it's on Larry's List! We will be back again soon!

During our last visit, an expensive black Prada bag disappeared inside the restaurant. At first, the General Manager, Cecilia, confirmed that we arrived with the bag and stated they were reviewing all camera footage. However, despite multiple requests, we were never shown the arrival footage or provided clear evidence proving what happened to the bag. The communication became increasingly contradictory, and instead of transparency and professional assistance, we were eventually accused of acting "fraudulently" and formally trespassed from the property. What shocked us most was not only the disappearance of a valuable personal item, but the way loyal customers were treated afterward: * no transparency,* no proper cooperation,* no accountability,* and accusations without clear proof. We remained respectful throughout the entire process and simply asked for clear confirmation regarding the footage. Instead, the situation escalated into accusations and threats of trespassing. If personal belongings can disappear inside a restaurant and management responds this way, guests should seriously think twice before leaving valuables there. At this point, we sincerely hope the restaurant owner or upper management reviews this situation carefully, conducts a proper internal investigation into how this matter was handled, and contacts us directly in hopes of reaching a fair resolution regarding both the significant financial loss and the emotional distress we experienced as a result of this situation and the unfounded accusations made against us. We are still open to direct communication with the restaurant owner or upper management in hopes of resolving this situation professionally and fairly.

First time visiting Doya, and wow everything was so fresh and light yet super filling! The restaurant is very minimalist open space, they offer I food and outdoor seating. But with Miami's heat in the summer who's sitting outside. We sat at the bar and our bartender gave us the whole rundown of the menu and how things come out. It was a great time

I went to dinner here with hubby and we both enjoyed it. Our server was very helpful and gave great tips to round out our meal. The restaurant itself has a nice vibe, with a large bar in the center. It is priced quite high, which has become typical of "it" places to go to.

Is it good for kids? Or are there even any kids?

There were kids in the restaurant, but its not typical food a child would usually eat in my opinion

    Is there happy hour?

No Happy Hour menu or prices but their bar is gorgeous

Are dogs allowed in their outside patio area?

Was there again on Friday, May 19th at night and a big dog passed our table. So I assume yes, but ask them when you make your reservation to make sure

Is their outdoor patio covered? What happens if it rains?

They have some umbrellas , but I don't think they covered the whole patio

Service is attentive and friendly... where they lost me was actually the quality of the dishes. Greek salad... was very sad. Overly ripped tomatoes, almost spoiled. Fish of the day sandwich (gyro style) was bland. It needed seasoning. NOT Good. Grouper from their specials... also flavorless. It comes over orzo which was overcooked. (Gummy)... and so on. This was our first time here and Ahmet, our server, took great care of us. We weren't familiar with all the dishes on the menu, but he took his time going over the menu with us, made great recommendations on dishes to try, and just provided us with great service overall. We started our lunch with two glasses of red wine from Turkey and the wine was truly spectacular. It was light yet full of aroma and flavor and went perfectly with our meal. Highly recommend trying a glass of wine you can't find anywhere else on a menu. We ordered the Turkish Pozza from the lunch menu to share and it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. It was truly one of a kind and I'll be back just for this dish, it was so good. Super thin, perfectly crispy pizza, topped with finely ground beef, onions, tomatoes, and parsley it was so full of flavor it was absolutely delicious. For lunch, the pizza was only $10 too, what a great price for a truly special dish. All I have to say is, try it, you won't be disappointed! For our meal we ordered the chicken shish kabob served with rice and it was also very good. The chicken was a little charred which I really liked. We also ordered a side of asparagus to go with our meal and it was delicious as well. For desert I usually stick to Baklava since it's one of my favorites but our server really recommended the homemade Kunefe and the Turkish Mariah Ice Cream and told us we had to try them together so we decided to try something different. The deserts came out topped with a little bit of pistachio and they were also one of the best deserts I've ever had. They should be served together on the menu because our server was right they went perfectly together. The ice cream was special in of itself, I've never had ice cream made from goat milk, but it was so good, you have to try it as well. It had a thicker, more stretchy texture to it, than regular ice cream and wasn't as sweet which I loved and it was just absolutely amazing. We didn't even know it was made from goat milk till after we tried it, I'm so happy we did. The Kunefe was really good as well, it arrived warm, and the crispy shredded phyllo dough was coated in sweet syrup and went perfectly with the ice cream. Perfectly balancing each other. Highly recommend. Overall, I was really impressed with the food at Sumak Restaurant and I look forward to returning another day soon!

The complexity yet restraint of flavor, balancing indescribable buttery, roasted, earthy notes with a touch of umami and subtle tanginess from the yogurt. The Mezze Sampler was a nice option for trying three of the dips. All very tasty, but I've had slightly better elsewhere. The Sweet Jeweled rice was the other standout with flavor and textural variety that made each bite pop. I found the Roasted Brussels Sprouts undercooked and lacking the same level of flavor as the other plates. The weakest dish of the evening. The Grilled Whole Bronzino got top marks from the meat eaters at the table. Overall, 4/5 stars for a delicious meal but with tough competition around town limiting my ability to hit that 5.

It included creamy hummus, eggplant-based dips like baba ghanoush, beetroot, yogurt spreads, and a pepper-eggplant mix, all paired with warm, fresh pita that kept coming out just right. Sipping Turkish tea in the Miami heat somehow worked perfectly, it was refreshing in its own way. I thought it was a fluke or mistake which is why I gave them a second chance. The phone number listed is invalid so there is no way to contact them to tell them your order is wrong. I had to throw out both items for me (I can't eat onions). What a waste of money.

As we walked by Safron, the smells and aroma with the lit up menu was what drove us right in. It's a very small hole in the wall, more for takeout, but they have a few tables and chairs outside that make the perfect people watching while you eat, that's free entertainment! We ordered the falafel plate to share and it was plenty. There's rice was absolutely delicious and the falafel were made on the spot served perfectly warm and crispy. Pro tip: ask for their house made hot sauce, it will rewire your brain. That was the perfect touch to our platter. Next time would LOVE to order the falafel wrap which comes with fries. Great little spot for authentic Mediterranean cuisine with bold, delicious and fresh flavors.

The sandwiches use pita bread and the wraps use tortillas. I got mine with pita, which was nice and soft. Tithe sandwich had bite-sized lamb chunks, which were very good and seasoned well. The fries are a "pass" for me. I don't like bartered fries. The Greek salad was a Greek salad, which is what I expected and wanted, so no complaints! Walking distance from my hotel, friendly staff. It's small inside with o my one table, so you'll sit outside if you stay. I waited inside for my food.
