Doya is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food and great cocktails served to be showstoppers. We tried The Sultan, Rosita, Mallorca Collins, and Bursa all of which were very tasty and super well presented ESPECIALLY The Sultan. For starters we got the babagannus and the spicy yogurt which complimented my lamb chops beautifully. The Tiger Prawns were delicious but I wish they came with a sauce to elevate them a bit more. Both the Adana and Doya Kabab were good and so was the skirt steak. Now the loss of a star was for the service. Our waiter was very polite when he did come around, but was not super attentive. We were seated for at least 20 minutes before we were acknowledged at all and finally flagged someone down to at least bring water and bread. We ordered our cocktails and food, but my SIL's calamari never came until finally we said something because everyone else was practically done eating. The other food did come out quickly and they took the calamari off the bill which was appreciated, but if you're looking for outstanding service I would steer clear. If you're not in a rush and okay with sitting and waiting around because the food is excellent, then I would recommend giving it a try! read more

Excellent food, great ambiance and the service is great. The owner is constantly walking by insuring things are running well. The server was knowledgeable, polite and patient. Made a few suggestions and gave us a minute to decide. Food arrived in a timely manner and it looked and smelled amazing. As in all good restaurants, the server was around every 10-15 minutes to check on us which was perfect. Highly recommend Doya especially in the winter months so you can enjoy the amazing Miami weather too. read more

This new restaurant in wynwood has a great atmosphere and the staff is very attentive. The food was beyond good. There was so much to choose from, and we wanted it all. We went to Doya yesterday with my partner and we loved the ambience as well as the food. Everything we ordered was very delicious and good. Then we asked for the check. Up until that moment everything was going great for real. They brought the POS to pay, they handed it to me and I was calculating in my head the tip amount and I hit the button "Custom tip" on the POS. The server hit the arrow back to bring me back to the main screen where the 20%-22%-25% amounts were displayed saying "you chose from one of those, this is America". I was speechless and I said you are telling me how much I need to tip? He was very rude and he even said "you know what, I don't want your money". I wanted to tip, but of course after being treated like that I chose not to, which is a shame because having worked in restaurants I know how important tips are. On the way out I wanted to talk to a manager but I did not see anyone, so I was walking out and he came at the door saying "I did not want to be rude, but we get ripped off all the time". First he did not even know how much I wanted to tip, and second he was VERY rude. Nothing like this has ever happened to me, I was appalled. It is a pity because I really liked the restaurant and the food, but I am not sure if I will ever go back there due to this incident. read more

Excellent restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating available. Nice bar with a great wait staff and bartenders. The menu has both hot and cold meze (small plates) with a wide variety of vegan and non vegan options. Loved the cold fava bean humus and the hot pastrami hummus. Yummm! The lamb dish was outstanding as was the branzino. So many interesting meze to sample on out next visit. Can't go wrong. read more

We came to this restaurant to celebrate an anniversary and birthday. Prior to the reservation we asked if there was a corkage fee for bottles of wine we were going to bring. Unfortunately, the manager decided to change the restaurant policy and said that we were unable to open our bottle of wine. When we asked for an explanation and highlighted the situation, he became extremely defensive and rude and said this is the restaurant's policy regardless of the special occasion or if we called ahead of time. Staff was great, but the manager chose to make a small profit on a bottle of wine instead of pleasing a party of 8 who planned on coming back many time over. The portions were fine but they were a bit stingy with bread so we had leftover spreads and dips we didn't eat... starter bread with sesame was good but the flatbread was a little underdone and doughy. Spicy tomato had a good flavor. Lentil kibbeh is shaped by hand but it should be smoothed out--theirs revealed the handprint of the chef who made them, which is weird. It's the lack of attention to details like this that makes me question the Michelin people's standards in Miami. read more

First off, the ambience when you walk in is dark academia with a Middle Eastern twist. It's great--low lighting, beautiful decor. The waiter was very kind and had great recommendations. From the cold mezze, we got the roasted eggplant, red lentil kofte, octopus, and spicy yogurt. When you walk in, there is this wraparound bar, in which they have glass cases that show all of the cold mezze. They take the dips directly from there. Warning-the spicy yogurt was indeed spicy so watch out. From the hot mezze, we got the pide with truffle and doya kebap. All of the food was very flavorful and spicy, which is just what we needed. They say the portions are very small, so to order a lot, but they actually are normal-sized, so I would start off with a few and add as you go. read more

Upon making the reservation the restaurant called and texted us 3 separate times to confirm our reservation only to tell us we had cancelled the reservation when we arrived. They claimed we never confirmed, but sat us shortly after the small discrepancy. The menu is not very detailed; probably due to the fact that there are so many items. The dishes are so similar that they're hard to distinguish without getting an in depth description from the staff. We ordered one of the eggplant dishes which came fried, to our surprise. Hosted a large group (14) in celebration of a birthday. Catering manager Perla was lovely to work with. Here are the pros and cons. Very good food with interesting preparations: favorites were Branzino ceviche, zucchini scallion, pancakes (very tasty, but a bit oily), butter shrimp, woodfired chicken thighs, and lamb chops. Ambience was lovely both indoors and outdoors. Cons -- food service was a bit on the slow side although the waiter was excellent. Although they tried, The restaurant had difficulty tailoring some of the preparations for food-allergic people. Cucumber martini a bit disappointing. Place got noisy towards the end of our meal. This place is busy. Went on Friday night with 3 others, was sat as soon as we arrived with a reservation. Service was good not great but the food and drinks were delivered very quickly and as they were prepared. We got 8 dishes for four people and couldn't finish everything. The food was good not great, very simply prepared, fresh food but it just felt like most of it was missing something. I was there catching up with friends so the food wasn't the focus but after one visit I don't feel the need to go back. When I questioned, we gave you in the bowl instead of plate that's all. We were escorted by the hostess and she pointed to a full bar with no seats. We waited 10 minutes, no assistance, no hospitality and no hope for a seat even with several tables sitting empty.
