Definitely a 4+ star restaurant the bonus 5th star for our very friendly and attentive server Stanley S. He went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Loved that the restaurant was small, so everything seemed reachable and way to get. The layout and idea was excellent. You can your own meat, seafood, veggies to grill at your table. There were also egg tarts, drinks, Waygu mini burgers, appetizers, snacks, chocolate roll, dumplings and soft drink to take. The only suggestion is if at least one type of milk tea was included. Parking was easy: just park at the garage opposite. Will come again!

My family and I came here for lunch on the weekend and ended up waiting more than an hour and a half before getting a table. The restaurant is smaller than other Chubby Group locations I've been to, and with so many people waiting, the space felt quite crowded and a little tight. At around $50 per person, I think the price is fair for the quality of the meat. My biggest issue wasn't the cost, but the overall experience. The long wait was already a challenge, and the meat refills were slower than I expected. With only 90 minutes to eat, I never really felt like I had enough time to enjoy the meal. The restaurant does have other options like hamburgers, fried rice, and some dumplings, but I came here mainly for the meat and sushi. The meat was fresh and tasted good, but the sushi didn't really stand out to me. There weren't many choices, and I felt the quality was just average. It was a very busy day, so maybe the staff were just overwhelmed. One small thing that stood out was that after we were seated, no one brought us cups for our drinks, and we had to find someone ourselves. Staff also stopped by asking if everything was okay, but they often walked away before we even had a chance to respond. It wasn't a huge issue by itself, but together with the long wait and slow refills, it made the whole experience feel less enjoyable than what I've had at other restaurants in the same group. In the end, while the meat was good for the price, there wasn't anything that made me want to come back.

Thursday dinner was $50 per person. 90 minute limit. All self served AYCE stations available with meats and seafood, vegetables, sushi and rolls, fried food and soda machine. The restaurant was much smaller than I expected and the layout was a little weird. I didn't like how the doors were open for a while, which is right near the sushi station. Flies were seen landing..which made you second guess what to eat. The meat qualities were extremely low grade. Some meats were completely frozen, all stuck together, making it hard to grab with tongs. The tongs were placed everywhere, not truly designated for each individual item. Basically cross contamination galore, especially for people who are unable to eat certain items. The selections were constantly empty. They couldn't keep it replenished or stocked quickly enough compared to the crowds. I definitely don't think it was worth the price point. The restrooms were extremely dirty, too. Almost forgot, we were seated at a table that still had dirty, filled cups, and one grill was only partially operable. Unfortunately, this was a no for me.

My family and I wanted to have BBQ so we stopped by Wagyu Factory. The place wasn't busy at 4pm, so we were seated right away. It's a self services place, so you get the meats and sides you want. The meats they offered were placed in small amouts and were more often times than not unavailable. A lot of the time, as soon as the meats were replenished, they were just as fast emptied. For the most part, the wagyu meats were tender and delicious. They did also have pork and lamb too. For the other items, I liked the egg tart and corn cheese as they weren't too sweet and oftered a nice change in pace to the meal.

Second time for my sister and I. Loved the choices of meat and all the other foods. So full and satisfied. Audric was our waiter once again and he was so helpful and friendly. Always a good attitude and so respectful! Our table was ready and clean and all dishes were removed without being asked. Music was just at the right volume. Not too loud, which is perfect.

There was plenty of parking available in the structure across the street, which was convenient. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. We waited nearly an hour to be seated, and once inside, the restaurant felt quite cramped. The table we were given seemed better suited for 2 to 3 people rather than 4. The table was small, and it was positioned too close to the wall that getting in and out of our seats was difficult. Service was also lacking. Our server was not very attentive and we had to flag him down multiple times to have the dishes cleared from our table. The only times he proactively checked on us were when he brought the bill and when we paid. I also did not like being required to download the restaurant's app. On top of that, only about half of the grill surface actually cooked meat properly, which made the dining experience negative. As for the food, the meat quality was decent, but most of the other food items were below expectations. Although,, the Wagyu Burger was surprisingly good. Overall, we left disappointed and felt the experience did not live up to the hype. 2.5/5

"Taco" station with lobster rolls and Wagyu sliders (top shelf) and egg custard tarts aka don tot (bottom shelf)

This is kinda like Chubby Cattle, self-serve style with about half the menu. It's a little cheaper than CC. M-F, it's 49.99 for dinner and $6 cheaper for Chubby Plus members. The nice thing is, you don't have to waste time scrolling through a menu screen and waiting for the food but you do have to get it yourself. It is still a time 90 minute limit. While it doesn't give the same amount of meat/protein options as CC, it has enough. It has some additional things like Wagyu stew, Wagyu tomato, udon noodles and a fried/snack bar along with lobster and shrimp dumplings. The side food items are okay, nothing great. They also have about a dozen sushi and roll options and lobster rolls and Wagyu sliders. Personally I'd stick to the meats. They have plenty of protein options including meats, chicken wings, squid, and shrimp. They also have a vegetable bar with mushrooms, zucchini, kim chi, seaweed, etc. Drinks are included but they only have soda fountains drinks, cold and hot water and they don't have an extensive dessert selection. They only have egg custard (don tot) and vanilla/chocolate cake rolls. If you have a smaller table of 2 or 3, you might share a larger table with another party. You'll have your own grill though. Servers were friendly and on a side note if you want to tip extra, give it to the busboys. TBH, I think they do the lion share of the work.

I fell in love with the food and the ambiance. Everything was amazing from service, to cleanliness, to service, etc. As someone who is a big eater and enjoys quality, wagyu factory was up to par. Audric was a charm! He was so sweet and truly attentive. I came with my mummy and he made her feel welcomed by showing off his Spanish skills. I would defintely come back for both amazing service and great food!

This place is going to replace all Kbbq places in the future. The only things I would add would be a larger dessert menu but this place was awesome!! You go up and grab what you want both hot and raw items. The cooler the meats are kept in are super chilled. Hot section: Big udon noodles, fried rice, tempura shrimp French fries There's a dim sum and dumpling section There's Japanese curry if you want curry There's a sushi and sashimi section There's a soda station There's a section that had wagyu burgers There's a sauce and condiments station The sauce for the bbq at the table is delicious!! Member pricing vs non member pricing - at this specific location if you're a member you can get non member discount pricing for up to 4 other people - so $34.99 after member discount for lunch pricing Definitely come hungry!! Our server was really nice, the location isn't that large so I assume it gets busy for dinner. When we went it wasn't too busy, more of a casual setting. And they sing for birthdays so it may get loud at times. Parking: There's a small lot directly behind the building and then a medium sized lot adjacent to the building and then there's a parking structure near by as well so plenty of parking options if one or both of the lots are full.

I've tried majority of the Chubby Group restaurants and had tried the Wagyu Factory in Tustin for the hot pot, so I was really curious how the bbq version would be. I love Chubby Cattle but the price point is a bit steep so hearing that this was a more affordable option, I was ready to try it! What's great about this location is that everything is self serve. No waiting on your servers or flagging them down to bring your meats, it's all at the self serve stations! They have a variety of hot foods, fried foods, sushi, desserts, soft drinks and of course the meat station. The meat were lower quality than Chubby, but I already expected that, so it wasn't a surprise to me. We went on a Saturday night around 5pm and only had to wait for about 10 minutes. It was a good time because everything at the self serve stations were pretty well replenished at all times. We loved the vegetables, especially the zucchini and the mushrooms. Not sure how it's marinated but it tastes so delicious on the grill. Be careful to not burn them though! My friends loved the wagyu burger and I thought it was decent, a little dry for me though. I liked the lobster roll though, good amounts of lobster! Tri was our server, and he was absolutely fantastic! Not only did he give us the pro tip of using wasabi on the wagyu with the salt (try it, it's sooo good!!) but he was very efficient in cleaning up the empty plates and changing our grill! The only con was really the sushi bar which I was really looking forward to. The rice on the salmon nigiri was unfortunately not cooked all the way. Other than that, we had a great experience and luckily with the Chubby Plus discount, cost-wise, it wasn't too bad! Would come back again when I'm in the area!

We came here for lunch. First off our host Cici was very kind and helpful. Stanley our server was also very friendly and quick too. We have been to multiple chubby group spots, most notably chubby cattle. Given the lunch discount and the format, we like this one the most. At 34.99 it was reasonable and we enjoyed being able to choose our meat selection and portion. Being that it's not that expensive we're not pressured to eat as much as we can either. Overall 5/5 and this is probably our favorite chubby club spot. *note that the lobster roll and galbi is not available during lunch.

Lobster dumplings

All you can eat heaven! Variety of wagyu meats, pork belly, seafood, sushi, hot pot, and hot food selections. Everything was so good! We enjoyed so much meat, I was happy to see how much different selections they offer. They also offer unique items such as wagyu burgers, lobster rolls, and corned cheese to grill. Not to mention a selection of fried foods, noodles, curry, and dumplings! The place gets busy! We came at 6 on a Saturday night, and there was already a lengthy waitlist. It went by quicker than expected. They have a 90 minute policy, so the wait goes pretty quick. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and they really delivered on serenading her! We will never forget the great experience here. I wish we caught our server's name, but he is the one leading the song on the video. Thank you for a memorable celebration!

At $39.99 for all-you-can-eat Wagyu during happy hour, this place is an absolute steal! The food was great with a solid variety that easily fed the whole family, and price includes unlimited soft drink refills. While the service was just okay, the restaurant is nicely decorated and has a welcoming vibe. Parking is convenient too--just use the garage right across the street.

Wagyu Factory Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Wagyu Factory

I am a little confused on children's pricing and would love clarification. Do children only qualify based on certain height requirements? That seems unfair and discriminatory towards taller children.

How is the king crab cooked? Also, is it on the buffet area or you order in the ipad? And is it extra charge?

You cook everything at your table grill like a kbbq. The sushi, rice, noodles and burgers are cooked as part of the buffet. Everything else is cooked by you at the table

How is parking?

There's limited parking behind the restaurant but there's free public parking garage across the street

Are they open for lunch yet ive heard mixed things on their soft opening hours?

Yes, they're open for lunch.

How much is it per person?

Mon-Thurs Lunch $39.99 per person Dinner $49.99 per person…

Does this location have hot pot?

No, It is BBQ only.

What are the prices?

Mon-Thurs Lunch $39.99 Dinner $49.99…

Is the menu here the same as the Lake Forest/ El Toro Rd one's?

I think it's different, this is an entirely self service location unless you pay for a5 Wagyu brisket (order from server). But it is an ayce bbq experience.

If you look at my review from 4 years ago, 5 stars and i haven't updated since because it's usually been pretty good each time returning that there was no need to update it. But this experience we had this past week was really bad that we've decided that we likely will be stop coming to our local Lucille's. Read other reviews on here that aren't left a while back and looks like they've also mention how Lucille's quality along as service has gone down tremendously a lot. When we were seated, we didn't get any assistance from a server til 10 mins plus. We had to ask the associate that was wiping down tables if he was covering our area to get some assistance. He informed us that our server should be right over. Our fountain drinks that we ordered Sprite, Dr Pepper and sweet tea tasted off. There was barely any carbonation nor did the sweet tea had any sweetening to the tea we loved here. We informed our server and she told the manager gal. The manager came and spoke to us 5 mins later and confirmed to us she noticed the fountain drinks were off and was having an associate replace the fountain drinks machine but meanwhile offered if we can get another drink in the time being without no charge so we may enjoy something with our meals. We took the offer n got a strawberry lemonade along w a peach lemonade also while waiting for the replacement soda. My kids weren't too much of a fan of lemonade but tried their best to enjoy the lemonade. About 20 mins to half n hour later. The manager did see us and came back to ask how our replacement soda tasted and we informed her we never got our replacement soda. She let an associate know and we finally got our replacement soda. But by then, we were about done w our meals and was pretty full. Ask an associate that is now no longer our original server but a server that was just bringing our food and drinks to us. A to go cup so we can just take our replacement soda to go. We never got out to go cup. Either they were short staffed that evening or associates just wasn't happy being there. Because when we asked for Togo containers too. It took some time to get it. Please Lucille's management, if you see this review. Look into your staffs. The restaurant is clean it's just there are some etiquettes that need to be going over. A BIG HUGE READ FLAG. Why would an associate be SWEEPING RIGHT NEXT TO A TABLE THAT IS CURRENTLY TRYING TO ENJOY THEIR DINNER. Where do you think sweeping the floor. The dust particles up in the air would go to. It'll be flying around where we are digesting our food. This is something no one would enjoy seeing when eating. Not sure if the associate didn't have a clue regards to this. ITS POOR HYGIENE for a restaurant industry. I was feeling under the weather along there was no upper management nor much associate to even let them know what we were dealing with. With all of the ordeal and mishap. If you look at my review b4 this. We've got a complimentary bday celebration dessert but this time. We just wanted to be done. Didn't even bother doing our annual bday celebration there that my son enjoys with his uncle for their bday celebration tradition. We still left a 16% tip because we know how things are with possibly server just being low staffed. Because we saw our original server Alyssa at the end b4 leaving the restaurant. She was able to give us a set of Togo boxes. Told us she apologized she couldn't continue serving us because she had a bigger party of 15 to attend to. That would've been great to know b4 she left our table to serve the other table so we weren't turning our head constantly trying to find any service from anyone. We just decided to pay on the tablet. By than didn't want to deal with anyone and wanted to leave asap. Since that was the only service that can help us pay for our bill. Please LUCILLES...DO BETTER!
