Halfway through the meal I decided to pour them both into one larger cup just to see what would happen. Y'all... I may have accidentally created my favorite drink on the menu. The salty citrus from the Soda Chanh Muối mixed with the cool minty cucumber flavor from the Cooler was ridiculously refreshing. It tasted like a perfectly balanced salty lemonade with a crisp cucumber finish. I honestly sat there wondering why this wasn't already on the menu. If you're eating here, do yourself a favor and order both drinks. Mix them together. Trust me on this one. Around 4:00 pm, the place was empty, but i was greeted warmly. When I asked for pancit, I learned that there was only a small container left. Food here is served cafeteria-style from display cases. Over half of the cases were empty when I arrived. The exception were the hot meat dishes. I bought the last of the pancit for take-away and ate it at home. I was a little disappointed when I discovered at home that it was a vegetarian pancit, but it went well with my roasted chicken thighs. Definitely, I have to get here earlier in the day to try other Filipino dishes.
