After I paid they called me back to tell me they had a "brain fart" (their words) and the screen would cost nearly $100 more but they would do it for $50 more. Reluctantly I said yes. Two weeks ago I cracked my screen and brought it to Dr. Cell Phone. After that I bought an otterbox to protect it. Immediately after repairs, I noticed that the screen was performing poorly. While typing, it added extra letters, and would blink randomly while clicking icons that I didn't intend it to. I was intending to bring it back this week for repairs under the warranty. However, this weekend it fell two feet on to carpet. the new screen broke and the led stopped working. The led was full functional after the spiderweb that caused the initial repair. My i-phone cracked and I went to dr cell phone to get it fixed. thought they did a good job until 8 months later, my keyboard stopped working correctly. I did not realized what happened until I was in the Apple store and one of the technicians asked me if I ever fixed my phone somewhere else. I went straight to doctor cell phone and they initially refused to fix the issue. Had I fixed it at Apple, my phone would have been taken care of. Either way, Dr Cell phone finally agreed to fix my phone. I picked it up and went home, only to find my camera is not working. I went back to dr cellphone and they told me what they did does not touch the camera. From now on, I will only go to Apple to fix my phone. I've used this place several times before and the service was fine. However, I recently had an iPad screen replaced and was very disappointed with the outcome. The new screen that was put on had lines that ran across the screen. The lines were visible when you held the iPad at a certain angle. When I asked the technician he said that was just part of the screen and there was nothing they could do about it. I have never had these lines on any of my other iPad screens. After I got home I realized there were scratches on the screen. Within two days the screen cracked under normal use while in a protective case. I called the store to talk to them about it and they said there was nothing they could do. Even though I've use the store several times in the past I will not return. Dr Cell Phone stole my ipad. I had put my ipad mini in for repairs just before Hurricane Harvey hit Houston to another Dr cell phone location on Richmond Avenue. During the storm, the Richmond Avenue location was flooded. After a few weeks of recovering from the storm, I tried to track down where my ipad was. It took many phone calls to eventually determine that it had been removed and taken to this Dr Cell Phone location in Sugarland, over 50 miles away. At no stage did I receive an email, text or phone call saying this had happened. The location in Sugarland was very remote and hard to get out to. When I eventually contacted them again to arrange pick up of my ipad, I was informed that it has gone, as it was assumed to be abandoned. No compensation was offered for effectively them stealing my device. The only out I was given was there had been a change in management and this had happened to several people. Frankly, this level of customer service is appalling and I will be pursuing other paths for recovery of my stolen property. read more

Horrible customer service. I've been here once before and everything was okay,but this time it was complete sh*t. I brought in a phone to get fix because the screen was not responsive when I tried to swipe. So my boyfriend brought it in on December 24 at around 12 pm. I understand it was Christmas Eve and they closed early but they didn't say what time they would be closed and had no sign put up either. I had called at 3:10 pm to confirm if it was done and it was. The guy told on the line told me the wrong price and not once told me they would be closed soon. So I got there around 4:30 and they were closed at 4 apparently. So my boyfriend was with out a phone for Christmas when he had to be out of town that night. We couldn't get the phone until Monday. Even then the guy working the front was rude and did not do anything or say anything for our trouble. And it cost about $205 to replace a screen?? Over all poor costumer service and didn't do anything to make our experience better. Never going here again. I'll find some other place to fix my electronic problems next time. read more

The guys in the store I give four stars as the repair was great, but they would not proactively inform me of the status of the repair casing and I was constantly calling at the end of the day it was to be done. Yet, the casing was not in when it was suppose have been. Lots of wasted time and the phone not in the hands of my wife (luckily she is blessed with more patience than me). These guys are great. I took my wifes brand new S4 in because she dropped it and it needed a new screen. They took care of it quick. I picked it up a few hours later, even though they had it done in less than an hour. It works like a champ now. I have never felt so strongly to actually write a review about a company's service, so I'm hoping this review saves their next potential customer. I have unfortunately taken my iPhone X to this location 2 times in 3 weeks because the screens they use to repair/replace are cheap and are meant to not last long, even with top rated screen protectors and phone cases. But I will not be taking it there ever again. Each repair costs ~$150, and after speaking with the owner today, I could tell all he wanted was another $150 from me for another cheap screen from a third party. Do yourself a favor: please consider getting your phone repaired from a place that actually takes care of their customers. There is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent one of their screens from cracking and blacking out the moment you leave their store. And there is nothing they will do aside from charging you another $150. read more

What a terrible frustrating experience! These guys might be good at replacing cell phone screens. HOWEVER, they took my external hardrive which I drpped. From the moment I got there I felt something was wrong. The guy that took the job was very unexperienced dealing with customers and FAR FROM KNOWLEDGABLE on the subject. I asked him if they HAD EVER TRIED TO RECOVER DATA before. He said yes. He told me to come the next day. When I arrived, they hadnt done anything and He asked me to sit down and wait. I left and came later to know what I already knew. That when connected it froze the pc. This guy, Muhammed took my external drive to the Computer Shop to have them fix it. The next day he told me on the phone that nothing could be done, that I HAd to pay CASH and to pay him in the parking lot. I didnt. I went in the store, paid with a CHECK to the COMPUTER SHOP as they couldnt give me a receipt because they didnt do the job or in other words NOTHING. I felt I was doing business with the computer MAFIA. Amateurs, unprofessionals with professional serious people, and making serious people waste their TIME! Brought my iPhone 6s in yesterday so they can fix my cracked screen which they did. Only took 45min but they messed up my volume for Siri so now I can't speak to Siri, she can't hear me nor can I hear her and I can't FaceTime anymore. Smh, I will steer clear from this place unless you want to keep paying money to them for problems they cause. Update: they actually give you a 60 day warranty on your phone, i brought my phone back today to see if they could fix the problem and they we more than willing to. Would not recommend this place or any type of third party business to repair any Apple products. They do not use legitimate Apple parts to repair your phones, iPads, etc. so it could result in even further damage later on. I got my iPhone 6 screen repaired by them and a few months later (without dropping it or anything, just due to normal usage) the screen began to separate from the phone. I first brought it to Apple to see if they could fix it but they can't tinker with any Apple products that do not have authentic Apple parts on it, so I brought it back in to see if they could repair it again. They charged me either $99 for another screen replacement or $29 to SUPER GLUE the screen back on (wtf!?). I found it pretty crazy they would charge me that much for poor quality on their end. So long story short, if you're looking to repair your Apple electronics, bring them to Apple. Yeah Dr. Cellphone and other places alike are cheaper than Apple (usually by like $15-$30) but having to pay for the poor quality afterwards is definitely not worth it. But if you're willing to take that chance to save a few bucks then this is definitely the place for you. read more

We came here hoping that we would get great service. I wanted my battery replaced on my HTC One M8. Instead, they damaged my phone more to charge us more for repairs. The phone is only one and a half years old and the screen stopped working comepletely after they took my phone apart and put it back together, only to realize they ordered the wrong battery. It would have been impossible for us to have damaged it in such a short time (a few hours) given that we didn't do anything dangerous to the phone. I have been pretty loyal to this location. Dr. Cell phone has several locations around Houston. However, on one of my visits it has led me to never come back. They claimed I had several things wrong with my phone that expensed to about $270. Of course whatever needed to be done to get the phone to work. After several hours of waiting they did mention that it could not be fixed and the problem was possibly the motherboard. I respected their diagnosis and was about to get rid of the phone. I went to a different company Cell Phone Repair for a different opinion and they immediately got it to work in 2 minutes!!! There technicians and equipment is obviously much better!!! Plus it comes with a warranty. Sadly, I won't be back. Dr. Cell phone is good with customer service but Cell Phone Repair is good with customer service AND getting the job done!! read more

Ethan attended me this time and told me exactly what needed to be done and how long it would take to get my iPhone up and running again! Similar to a review posted earlier for this establishment, if I could give a 0 out of 5 star review I would! My mother and I, conveniently, both needed our cracked screens replaced. Hearing roaring reviews about Dr. Cell Phone I brought my phone here...biggest mistake over. They fixed both screens, similar to another review, because they don't use authentic parts my phone was acting like it was possessed, this displayed a digitizer defect which they caused. So I went back, and they 60 day warranty allowed for me to get a new screen...5 hours later? It was possessed. So I went back asking for a refund, but they didn't have my screen at the time so gave me another screen and a statistic guaranteeing success. Because according to manager Adam, 9 out of 10 times they're successful. Inevitable, phone was possessed yet again so I went back and demanded a refund. Fast forward two days, my moms phone started doing the same thing! And I'm thinking "Damn I must be special. I am the 1 out of 10 people like 4 times already" so I went in, was told refund wasn't possible, and the changed the screen, not once, not twice, THREE TIMES! I called in to inform that I'd be coming in so please to have the old screen available and whatever necessary codes would be needed to give me a refund. Walked in 4 hours later....where's the old screen??? No one knows. Where are the codes and things to make the refund happen?? No one knows. I MUST BE HELLA SPECIAL CAUSE IM THAT 1 OUT OF 10 PEOPLE FOR THE 7TH TIME! Look honestly, if you have all that time on your hands and that much patience to go back there over and over again by all means, knock yourself out. But it's not worth your time, money and energy. I did more research, if you shatter your iPhone6s screen and take it to this establishment you'll pay $150, you take it to Apple first WITHOUT a warranty you'll pay $129.
