I can't explain in words how disappointed I am with this place. I have never written a Yelp review but I want to warn other people about terrible service and lack of results that this place offers in spades. I came in as a Groupon customer over a year ago and after my treatment bought a $1500 package for a full year of once-a-month laser facials. Not only do I not show any results, but the staff has a huge turnover rate (I saw the same person maybe twice at most) but they forgot one of my appointments and couldn't fit me in, when I called to ask to rescedule and left a message they never called me back - SEVERAL TIMES. They even scheduled me on Easter Sunday, which I didn't realize until that weekend, and when I called them to reschedule and left a message THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK. This was especially disappointing because after my last appointment (and after failing to console myself for spending $1500 on nothing) I finally told them that I had seen no results and they insisted I come back for a free appointment. I'm starting to think they scheduled it on Easter Sunday on purpose, and never called back BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE. These people are inconsiderate, uncaring, and suck you dry for nothing. I bought a Groupon for a 60 minute signature facial because I literally live across the street and have been looking for a place to go for a good facial. I got there early to fill out paperwork, etc, and the lady was ready to take me back. Facial was decent, but it was more like a 45 minute facial not 60 minute. Receptionist asked how it was and I replied okay. She didn't ask for me to elaborate, probably because she was too busy watching Vanderpump Rules. I won't be returning as I was treated like a "Groupon" customer and shorted 25% of my time. If I could give negative stars I would. I cannot write a review about my Fraxel treatment because I have yet to receive it. My appointment has been canceled 3 times! I am severely disappointed in the incompetence of the Dr. Laser organization. I initially went to Dr. Laser Manhattan Beach and got a Facial Rejuvenation treatment with a Formosi package I had purchased. It was fine, I wasn't expecting much. I have some red spots on my right cheek that I would like to get rid of, and so far nothing I've tried has worked. The nurse suggested I try Fraxel, she said she has seen some amazing results with it. She recommended that I start out with 3 treatments and they offered me a deal if I buy 2 treatments I get the 3rd for free. I went ahead a purchased the deal and scheduled my first Fraxel treatment for 8 weeks later. I would have scheduled it sooner but there weren't any dates availble, I needed my appointment to be on a Saturday. Note: When I was scheduling my appointment the nurse said I only needed to wait 3 weeks after my facial rejuvenation treatment to start my Fraxel treatment. In the days leading up to my first Fraxel appointment I receive texts and emails reminding me of my appointment. Great, everything seems on track. The day of my appointment, less than 1 hour before my appointment, I receive a phone call from the Dr. Laser office. They tell me there was a scheduling mistake and I was schdeduled for my Fraxel treatment too soon after my previous treatment. Remember, my nurse said I only needed to wait 3 weeks and now it was already 8 weeks after my facial rejuvenation. I decide to be nice and not question this, they should know best right? I reschedule my appointment for 2 weeks later. A few days before my rescheduled appointment I receive a call from the Dr. Laser West Hollywood office and this time they tell me the nurse cannot make it to the Manhattan Beach location for my appointment and if I would like to reschedule my appointment for their West Hollywood office. No, I really don't want to drive an hour to West Hollywood for my treatment, when I can walk to the Manhattan Beach location. I try to reschedule for the following weekend and of course there are no appointments available at the Manhattan Beach location. They offer me a free fraxel treatment if I go to the West Hollywood office and I reluctantly reschedule my appointment for the West Hollywood office. In the days leading up to my appointment, I once again receive emails and texts notifying me of my appointment, super. The day of my appointment, I leave my house an hour and fifteen minutes before my appointment. According to my GPS it will take me about an hour to get there and I gave myself a few more minutes for parking. I start my trek to West Hollywood. I have my phone on it's mount in my car so I can use it as my GPS. About an hour before my appointment a text pops up reminding me of my appointment, super. About 15 minutes after I receive the text I get a phone call from the Dr. Laser West Hollywood office telling me that I need to reschedule my appointment, the nurse is not available. They offer me a free European facial. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????!!!!! I WANT MY FRAXEL TREATMENT THAT I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR!!!! I give the receptionist a piece of my mind and she offers to have the VP Maria call me. I ask for Maria's number and the receptionist tells me she cannot give it out but she can give me her email. I tell the receptionist I need to call her back to get the email address, I'm driving on the way to my appointment, call is ended. A few minutes later the receptionist calls me back and tells me that Maria will be calling me that day. I tell the receptionist that Maria needs to call me before 5:00, the receptionist says she will pass along the message. The receptionist calls me back again a few minutes and tells me that Maria will most definitely call me before 5:00 that day, even though it's her day off. She also offers me Maria's personal number this time and her email address, I once again inform her that I am driving and I will need to call her back. Once I arrive back home I call the Dr. Laser office to get Maria's number and email. I immediately call Maria's number and I am of course send to voicemail, so I start to leave a message and I am cut off before I am finished. I then send her an email about the same length as this review. I never received a phone call from Maria the day of my canceled appointment and I have not received any response to my email. A few days later, I sent another email to Maria requesting a refund for my Fraxel treatments that I prepaid for and I have also not received a response to that email. It looks like I will be filing a dispute through American Express to get my money refunded. Please do not waste your time or money with Dr. Laser. read more

She is great in helping me keep up with my skins needs facials and laser she has great customer service always has a smile. Heather is amazing!! I started my Laser tx with her and she has accommodated me with my appointments she's GREAT she even came in on her day off so that I could get my weekly tx with her.. Very Bad Service. I would not give even a star. The 1 hr facial was completed in 25 mins and most of the time was wasted.

The customer service was awful. I tried making an appointment for myself and there was no availability before my Groupon expired. I asked the lady who took my reservation if I could make an appointment now before my Groupon expired for a future date and she said after the Groupon expired it would only be worth the purchase price towards a service or product. I then made an appointment for my sister thinking she could make the appointment, but they said they needed to actually speak with my sister and didn't give me a good explanation as to why I couldn't make the appointment for her. The reason they gave was that this was a 'medical' facility. I told them I wasn't having anything medical done so why I couldn't make an appointment for my sister was beyond me. It turns out my sister couldn't make the appointment, so I gave the groupon to my friend for an early Birthday present. My friend had to call in and reference the appointment made rather than just me cancelling and her calling in. It was ridiculous! I even had to email the Groupon to the receptionist even though my friend printed it out. When I got on the phone with the office manager she didn't apologize and just said that was their policy. My friend said she enjoyed her facial despite the customer service nightmare. I don't think I will try them again, they didn't seem appreciative of Groupon customers, possibly because the service was at a discount. read more

I have been getting a tattoo removed from my back here for almost a year and I have had amazing results. It has faded so much and I now finally feel comfortable in a bikini! I had purchased a Groupon for them since I am looking for a new place to go on a regular basis I figured ill try them out since it's a deal on Groupon. First of all every time I called I never got ahold of someone and they didn't call me back so I ended up having to drive to the place to make an appointment. Second when I did make my appointment I was running a bit late the day of so I called 30min before to see if it was ok and they can still take me or if I should reschedule, well of course they didn't answer so I drove over there. I got there less than 10min late and the girl at the front desk said yea that's fine we can take you just have a seat. She was on her personal phone talking as the "work" phone kept ringing to I understood why my calls weren't being answered. She had me sit there for a while and then gave me some paper work to fill out so I did and gave it back to her. Few minutes later the lady doing my facial called me over and showed me to the room. When I was in the room she said I just want you to know that we have gone 25minutes into your appointment so it won't be an hour long facial. At that point I was really frustrated because if the girl at the front desk would have answered my call I would have rescheduled and not drove there to hear I'm only going to get a 30min facial instead of an hour. I was very irritated and decided to just get it done and over with because I did not want to deal with them anymore. I initially didn't have the best experience, that was until the new manager took the time to call me and try to resolve my issue by compensating me for my trouble. I personally wanted to try a peel, but the manager at the time told me, "by looking at your photos you need skin resurfacing". I worked at a different Med Spa at the time and was hesitant because I knew how beneficial peels can be after just one treatment, but took his word for it. At least it wasn't painful like the tattoo removal, but I didn't see a difference. They claimed it was $400 per treatment and said it would take closer to 9 sessions to see full results, but at $400/session I was not willing to take the chance. In the waiting room I heard the girl at the front desk suggest "skin resurfacing at $200/session" to several of the clients, so it seemed like they were just trying to push this package because it was pricey and only takes 15 minutes. I wish I saw more of a result so I could have better things to say because the customer service was great, but I personally didn't find the results of their services to be worth the cost. read more

OK...I've had laser treatment before at a different facility (not Dr. Laser) and the experience was great. Compared to that experience, Dr. Laser is terrible. I tried Dr. Laser using a Groupon. When I first called, I thought the woman who answered the phone must have been having a bad day. She couldn't be bothered with my questions, was short, rude, arrogant..the list goes on...but I went ahead and scheduled my first appointment (hey, I already paid for the Groupon!). When I went for my first appointment, the same woman was there and lo and behold, another bad day! Made me realize that perhaps it is not the day but her general demeanor. She is not a pleasant person and I came face to face with the same rude and arrogant behavior. Anyway....the coupon I had was for three treatments. Having had laser before, I know that it can take 5-8 for results to really take. She told me that on my first visit, I could purchase the additional treatments but I had to buy it then and there. If not, they would charge me more than double if I bought them later. Now, I understand the the need to upsell in any business....but in today's economy where laser treatments are a commodity and we have choices of where to go, I was blown by the rather snide attitude with which she presented the 'buy now or lose the deal' offer. I was confused by one piece of information she relayed and asked a question. Oh geez, that was a bad idea. More crappy attitude. Funny, too, as I had intended to purchase other packages for other parts of my body, but after that, I decided there was no way they would get any additional business from me. Life is just too short and frankly, with another (different company) laser center just down the street, I see no reaon to give my money to a place with such lousy customer service....especially after calling the other company and experiencing a considerate and helpful person on the other end of the phone. I bought a "SpaBro" package which included a Dr. Laser Signature Facial and a Dr. Laser Hair Removal session. The establishment is centrally located in Manhattan Beach with lots of parking available. The office was clean and modern looking. I thought the staff was very professional and helpful. They did offer to sell me other services however I didn't feel pressured in any way. The facial was fine, but I loved the hair removal service! After my first treatment, which was part of the SpaBro package, I still have not had to shave and it's been over 6-weeks! I bought a package for laser on my bikini area. I am very happy with my results. I have gotten laser in a different area at a different place and was very unsatisfied. They have a great machine that pushes out a puff of cold air as it lasers the hair away which helps with the slight pain that comes with getting laser. I purchased this 'signature facial' thru Groupon which stated it was for a 60 minute facial. The facial only lasted for 35 mins. After coming out of the room I spoke with the girl at the front desk regarding the reason why I did not receive 60 mins. She said that it should have read 45 mins. No one mentioned that when I called to make the appt. She was making excuses and blaming the owner/manager. She didn't have a reason why the facial I received was only 35 minutes in length. The place was dirty. The actual facial was sub par. Afterwards my face felt sticky and also unclean from the scrub used. I will NEVER go there again nor recommend the place to anyone. I originally went to Dr Laser to get laser treatment on a birthmark that needed some laser treatment. I was greeted by two nurses who proceeded to throw enthusiastic "recommendations" about what additional treatments I needed (using photos of clients from their iPhones to support their recommendations). My original and nominally priced laser inquiry turned into a recommendation for Botox, fillers, voluma (whatever that is), creams, laser rejuvenation , facials, and a few other miscellaneous tag-ons. They subtly slid in the financial consultant who with rapid-fire persuasion, suggested a package worth a whopping $4500. I was caught off guard and derailed by the whirlwind of the excitement and unexpected price - and after picking my jaw up off the floor I reluctantly agreed to a bunch of treatments I didn't need, want, or ask for at a still very unanticipated $1800. The treatment proved to have no visible results and I spent weeks trying to get a return call from the nurse, general manager or owner to resolve this unfortunate feeling that I had just been conned. I still have never gotten a return call (as promised) and now I have $1800 worth of service that made NO difference in my life. I will NEVER go back. I have been coming to this establishment for tattoo removal for 2 years now. Each visit I have a different nurse who gives me completely different advice. Most recently I have completed my 16th yes, SIXTEENTH session and I am still nowhere to having the tattoo removed. I also finally was told to drink tons of water after each session to help remove the ink from the body. Glad to share this tip so noone else wastes two years of their lives. I recently visited another establishment who told me I am lucky that I have yet to scar from this place. Horrible!!! DO NOT GO TO DR LASER!!! They will sell you until you truly believe in their services and once they get you it is all down hill. Technicians are ok, I mostly think it is the Owner who causes all the problems. It is nearly impossible to get an appointment with your schedule since they only have the machines on certain days. Even when I was willing to drive to Santa Monica, they wouldn't fit me in. I got a chemical peel from their facialist, spending even more than the $3,500 I had already put down on laser resurfacing because the front desk said it would help in the process - the facialist literally forgot to take the peel off the crease of my neck and it burnt it so badly that I had a minor scar for about a month. Joe (owner) is condescending: My skin never looked so bad and having spend $3000 already, I went to the office (Which was closed for the holidays - funny considering that the treatments are supposed to be a week apart and the office was close for at least 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!) and Joe showed me the hand sanitizer when I complained about my acne. I left in tears After a month of fighting with Joe, I finally only got part of my money back. Went to the dermatologist and another laser place and my skin is literally flawless - a few pimples now and again but thats it. DO NOT GO!! I've come into Dr. Laser 6 times for laser removal on my chin/beard area and chest area as well. From the first time I walked in, I just realized right off the bat how friendly and personable everyone was. From the front desk staff to the technicians, everyone here is very well educated and is eager to please. I am also very happy to report that after 6 treatments my hairs did not grow back and it's been over 3 months! I know there are tons of places out there that you probably get Groupons and Living Social offers for. However, I know for a fact that a lot of those places do not use certified technicians, they are not clean, and they don't use reliable lasers. So just do your homework. Also, they are willing to work with you and offer financing if you need it. Don't go somewhere else that may be slightly less money and you end up not having a 100% result or skin damage due to the lack of quality of the lasers.
