I called for appointment at San pedro Clinic because my Zirconia veneer fell and just need to be cemented back and told someone on the phone I might need some filling. I'm a new patient. I'm new in San Pedro. I did my research and I chose this clinic to help me because the feedback online are awesome. I went there and waited 45 minutes (I don't complain since I work in emergency room haha it happens and I do understand). No one explained to me about the treatment and plan. They put me in Xray and Scans (Got it since im a new patient). They brought me in for cleaning (I said ok). I kept on explaining to them I had a veneer that fell off. Then they told me I need a deep cleaning (the way she told me it was not nice and full of judgement lol I know my teeth are not perfect but its not the worst) and again I said about the veener issue (I said ok because I thought they really care) They dont even explain why, when or watever. After cleaning, the Dentist came for exam because i had to tell them about it again and the hygienist gave me a look LOL. All i heard was judgement. Staffs are tired. They are not friendly. They don't respond to questions. They don't recommend. I was trying to be friendly with staff but they are not lol (For introvert like me, it was difficult to even open a simple conversation). I even praised her for her work and for letting me know to floss lol. The dentist and manager were judging the crown and veeners. They dont listen. I was trying to open up and but she keeps on judging about zirconia. I had this done 4-5 years ago in philippines. Im a new immigrant. I had these things prior migrating to US (its not what you think that i went to PH just to have cheap veneers). I tried to open up about possible plan like dental implant. She was clearly not interested LOL. It was embarrassing for me. She keeps on judging the veneer but she is not even recommending something or giving me options. The dentist cemented it back. The biting is off but I did not complain because I was already embarrassed and i can feel that she is not concerned at all LOL. I can tell that she is tired and I do understand. Then they me brought to front desk to pay and I was like i thought you will have deep cleaning and etc? but that's fine. I thought they gonna offer like "Hey you want filling, you wanna fix this that and etc." All I heard were judgments AHAHAHA. This is so embarrassing. Ok you can judge I'll take it, so what's next? HAHA. I'll take your judgment guys but recommend or offer me options. That's how healthcare providers do. Everyone is just in a hurry. I understand because it almost end of the day. I am the Nicest patient you can have. I wont complain during the process and will just say yes if you recommend something nicely. You guys are mean. I thought my fear going to dentist is gone since i had the great experience last year at Bismarck North Dakota. Guys don't judge!, try to recommend Nicely, listen and provide options. It helps. Bro I'm not rich but I can pay, may HSA have 20K aside from my savings LOL. Its either this clinic is racist towards Asian or they thought I'm a teen and afford to buy a toothpaste. I love the front desk girl. She is the best in that clinic. For keep! If ever you guys have health emergency, come to ER Providence San Pedro. I'll show you how to treat people with dignity and care. I don't know what their deal is. It is like every time I have a question or request, I either cannot get an answer or have to wait for someone to ask someone to ask someone... I thought they were great at first. Good facilities, friendly staff, contemporary technology. I went in for x-rays and a couple of fillings replaced. It was a good experience. The x-rays were super easy, all hand held, no big machine, but the mouth prop they used is really uncomfortable. I felt like I was choking on my own saliva so much I couldn't even say anything. Then had to go back the next day because most of the work had not been completely polished. I scheduled a follow up, which I missed. They charged me for that, and I understand. I tried to reschedule when I told them I couldn't make it, I was told that I had to now split the appointment up: 1 for cleaning, 1 for fit me for a mouthguard. Then I got stuck in another country because I had a seizure on the plane. I called two days in advance to cancel, and still got charged a late fee without ever being notified. It just came in the mail. So I found a new dentist for an urgent matter (I chipped 2 teeth). I called to ask for my records, and said I'd come by today. They said that was no problem. Even offered to refund some of the fees I was charged. I just left their office at 4pm, and it was locked. I called and the administrator said, yup, they were done for the day. No explanation. They didn't mention it at all yesterday on the phone. They are open until 6pm (I took a photo of their hours). I asked if they could email them to the new dentist. She asked me if I really wanted to do that. Well, I REALLY don't want to pay out of pocket for a new set of x-rays a couple of months after insurance covered theirs (and, therefore, won't cover a new set). She said she had to ask and I should call tomorrow morning. My appointment is tomorrow at noon. I suffer from seizures and can't drive. My ride had dropped me off and left for work. My husband was going to pick me up from downtown LA after he got off work at 4pm. I figured I'd sit in the lobby and wait for him... I just had to walk home. I hope they send those records, they are mine. I paid for them. I told them what dentist I was seeing and do not see why they couldn't exchange them immediately like every other doctor I've ever seen. Why do I have to be the middle man? Why do I have to physically go there when everything is digital? For as advanced as they appear, every other doctor I have (and I have a ton, due to my condition) has an online portal where I can access all of my records and results, even access each other's. I normally am not comfortable with that, but now I see why. I hope it somehow works out. If I need a new set of x-rays, there is no way I'm going back here for the Invisiline I had an appointment for. If I have to pay for new ones, I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway. I'm really reconsidering if I would go back even if they can somehow get these x-rays sent in time. Thank you for reading my review! read more
