Chicken lo mein, sesame chicken, fried rice, crab rangoons
    Lindsay C.

Ordered takeout and it was great!! $21 for lo mein, fried rice, sesame chicken, and four crab rangoons, which seems like an excellent price. Takeout was fast and easy. Everything was excellent except that the rice was quite dry. Would definitely order again, though maybe sub the rice for something else.

Friendly welcoming, chill atmosphere and delicious food! We had miso soup, edamame and some sushi rolls. My husband and I both enjoyed our lunch date here today! I didn't know it was open because you can't tell from the street, but there's parking in the back and you can enter from the street or the back parking lot. Very popular place for takeout! Recommend you try them out!

    Wonton soup

Nice building. Lots of light. Very clean. The wonton soup was nice with lots of big wontons. The fried rice was a bit dark and salty for my taste. The spare ribs also had too much sauce. They were very dark. The chicken dishes were much better. With lots of vegetables. Nice smiley service.

    Salt and pepper calamari

Have tried Dragon Palace in Coventry a few years back and wasn't too impressed. Decided to give the North Kingstown location a try. Large restaurant appearing to be a nice clean open space. There is plenty of parking in the back. The food is ok. I was disappointed by the $17 salmon teriyaki dish. The piece of salmon was very generous, but it was so overcooked that you needed a sip of water with each bite to swallow it. Also ordered calamari which was very bland and had no crispiness to it.

Hunan Chicken You get more food than this. I just put my leftovers in this container. Love all the veggies in it. Would order it spicier.

We have ordered here probably 4 times now. Always consistent. I tried the hunan chicken this time and LOVED all of the veggies in it. Will 100% be getting it again, but with more spice. My husband loves the orange chicken and it has actual orange peel on it....so you know it's legit. Did you know you can get a scorpion bowl for 2 to go? You should add that too your order...you won't regret it. You wouldn't expect a Chinese restaurant to have sushi...or good sushi for that matter. Well they have great sushi and I've ordered it multiple times. I love that added option! This is our go to Chinese takeout spot!

Smallest sushi ever, and white tuna kind of mushy

Once inside turn right into the bar area, then turn left to the hostess stand at the back. We were seated in a large booth that looks newly upholstered. Everything in the dining room looks to be in good condition. The menu is large and include both 'lunch combination plates' which are smaller portions and 'combination plates' which include more food. You can also order family style or al la carte. The waitress came over with waters, duck sauce and fried wonton to munch on while you look over the menu. That sauce on those wonton are a tasty, sweet snack. She took our drink order and answered a couple of questions about the menu. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable. My husband tells me this hot and sour soup is his favorite. I don't eat that, so I can't expand. My combination meal includes a soup and I ordered the egg drop soup because it is a vegetable broth. It tastes like. . . egg. I guess that's right? I've never had it before. The spring roll with my combination meal was crispy and filled with veg. The mixed veg meal was loaded with pea pods, water chestnut, mushroom, carrot and cabbage. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. Although combo meals normally come with pork fried rice, they do allow substitutions and I got the vegetable fried rice instead which was very nice. The ladies room, is off the dining room, before the kitchen. Step down into an area with a counter and mirror. I don't remember a diaper station. The toilet and sink are in a room off this area. The door is misaligned and you have to pull the door UP in order to engage the door knob locking mechanism. Otherwise anyone can just walk in on you. I have been to a lot of Chinese restaurants and this one is good. It's been around for a long while and my SO loves it. I cannot recommend it for Christmas Eve as they limit the selections (in order to handle the volume, I understand, but I can't get what I need) but for lunch, dinner or take away, it's a fine choice.

Lunch specials are available daily and additional combination plates at a higher price are available all day. Interestingly, on these combos, rice is not a given, but you get two "side orders" from which you can use one for rice. Flexibility is good. -- Crispy Wontons: Small complimentary boat arrives before ordering as a welcoming gesture -- Hot and Sour Soup: A $6 small order gets you a pretty big bowl, filled with a thick, dark brown broth that's only slightly lumpy and is more than slightly spicy. If you like heat, this one's for you. If you like great quantity and variety of mushrooms and other floaties in your soup, maybe not-- limited in this aspect. Average to above average, depending on the above. -- Egg Roll: (on a combo) Interestingly crisp and bendy at the same time, with a moist interior of cabbage and little pork pellets that have the color and mouthfeel of #2 pencil erasers (don't ask). That said, quite tasty. I'm even going to say above average. -- Shrimp and Lobster Sauce (on a combo): HUGE props for the five pieces of fairly large and very nicely cooked shrimp hiding 'neath the surface in a separate bowl from the rice and app. At first glance, not much different looking from the soup. But there's ground pork sunk to the bottom (the sauce is much thinner than most) and LOTS of egg mixed in, so it's sort of a mishmash of Boston and New York styles for both flavor and texture while looking more like Boston. I'm not a fan of that much egg, or that thinness, but for those who are, this will be a treat-- especially given the portion size and the quality/quantity of shrimp. Above average for the right person. -- Pork Fried Rice: Slightly towards the dark end of the color spectrum and reasonably fresh and moist (aside from the pork nuggets) on a Sunday afternoon. No other add-ins (no onion, scallion, egg, bean sprouts). Mostly Rice-a-Roni flavor, with faint hints of the old time New England Chinese fried rice flavor. Average.

Very disappointed in the experience but the decor was really nice and I've been wanting to try this place out since my friends had a galentines day event here after our spa day but I had to go home so I didn't make it to the restaurant until today. Dim sum is usually a brunch thing, but we were in the area for a movie and just wanted dim sum for dinner. The two of us ordered the congee with shredded pork and thousand year egg, bok choy, salty shrimp, and off of the dim sum menu: steam rice roll with shrimp, chicken feet, oyster sauce duck feet, siu mai x2, shrimp chive dumplings, and Chinese tea. Forgot to take a photo of the siu mai even though that's our favorite. We also asked for hot mustard and chili oil sauce because that's how my family has eaten dim sum and that's how we now continue to enjoy dim sum. Everything tastes as expected. The chicken feet were nice and soft and fell off the bone. The dishes weren't too salty. The salty shrimp was as advertised--salty and crunchy. The congee is a large portion because it's mostly rice and water, but I just really wanted it and it did not disappoint. The tea could have been more flavorful, it was quite light. Despite that, the tea is still a diuretic. We did end up taking some food as leftovers. The customer service was really fast and polite! The interior is pleasant with interesting decor (a spear/halberd? mounted on the wall). The table partitions are pretty tall so you don't see the other customers if they're seated adjacent. It wasn't very busy when we went on a Wednesday evening, and parking is no issue at all here. Overall a good place to get some Chinese food whether you're a party of two or a party.
