I knew we were in trouble when my Japanese girlfriend asked if the broth was salt based or soy sauce and the reply was "It's chicken". Then the "cook" came out with a notebook that showed the ingredients... Chicken powder, sugar... She ordered ramen with chicken broth, pork belly, and extra "ramen" egg. I ordered ramen noodle with tonkotsu broth, pork belly and egg. I also ordered 3 different desserts...strawberry cheesecake, vanilla, and apple pie dessert buns. I'm very sad to say the whole meal was a huge disappointment. Chicken broth was too salty, pork belly was more carnitas than normal ramen pork, ramen egg was overcooked and the marinade didn't add any flavor. We barely ate the ramen. The desserts were likewise not good. Strawberry cheesecake was literally a spoon of preserves with a slab of cream cheese. The vanilla ice cream had ice crystals. Apple pie was ok for the filling, but all of the bao buns were just sticky and sweet with no flavor. I was really hoping for a better dessert, as I was thinking I could justify 2 stars, but that did not happen. It should also be noted that the table tops had hot plates built in so that you could "cook" your ramen at the table...basically this allowed you to heat the broth after all the time it took to get your order and pay. Ramen is supposed to be eaten immediately after the broth is added, so the noodles don't soak up the liquid. While the broth from the tap was a novel idea, it was not made from actual bones, as authentic ramen does. Over $40 for 2 ramen and desserts...way too much. Do yourself a favor and go to an authentic ramen house. read more

If I could give this location zero stars I would. The two times I've been to this location the service has been awful. This most recent time I placed a online order at noon for a 1pm pick up. I showed up at 1pm and my food wasn't even ready. I waited an additional 15 minutes in line to be told they haven't even started my food yet. At this point they told me it would be another 20 minutes because the chicken wings still had to be cooked. Extremely disappointed. Would avoid this location at all costs. read more

We stopped by this place, because of the cool name and it was open late. This was a pleasant surprise. Despite feeling kind of like a fast food restaurant, the food was quite good. Particularly the soups. First you pick your broth. There are four broths to choose from. The Thai Yum puts the yum in yummy. Next is the noodles. If you choose the Sumo size, you can pick two sets of noodles. I chose udon (my favorite noodle) and house-made fire noodle (noodles with a bit of spice). Next up is the protein. The Pork belly was quite tasty. Lastly you choose your extras. I will let you know the sumo is quite filling. Think of this place as the Chipotle of noodles, but much better. Super disappointed and dissatisfied when we left the restaurant tonight... Didn't realize it was the "subway" style but we wanted to try it anyway so we proceeded to order. (They actually should've opened up inside of a food court instead... I would've been okay with their food quality if it was at a food court....) While Tonkotsu broth was very subtle it still had good flavors (love the "beer tap style" with their broth it's a neat and fun presentation) Ramen noodle was just okay. Chashu was super small and tough... Egg/Bamboo Shoots were very salty... I'd give tonight's bowl of my Ramen a 3 out 10... The only appetizer they have was Chicken Wings..... oh man.... they were extremely salty and inedible. So sad... We will probably go back and try them again in several months and hopefully they will have made some improvements by then... read more

When you first walk in the staff helps you pick your 4 part selection toake your perfect, delicious noodle bowl. You personalize it to your preference. They put all your personalized ingredients together while you wait there. You can see them make it all right in front of you and all the ingredients are very fresh. You pay for your meal and drink before you sit down. If you eat in the dining room you are sitting in a area where the table have table warmers for your bowls. So you will never have cold noodle soup. They are so cool. The staff is always coming around to see if you need anything or any help. Se super friendly and helpful. The wings are amazing but if you want to eat them along with your noodles I'd order them ahead so you have them ready at the same time. It's about a 20 min wait and I had to take them to go. I thought this was a fluke but it happened three times before I realized it's just that slow. But. The wings are worth it. I'd say go mild with extra seasoning but be prepared if you go hot to have a numb mouth. read more

Been wanting it try this place for while now and finally made our way there. When we got there, there was only one group of 3 ahead of us and then a couple walked in behind us. It took about 15/20 mins yo get their order. Meanwhile the couple behind us walked out. We finally were able to start our order. It did seem quite understaffed and disorganized. Like no one was able to finish a task before starting a new one. Was quite taken back that the soup was cold when I got to my seat but they did have the warmers on the tables. Was kinda weird that they had 2 warmers for a table of 4, so we had to use the empty table next to us to so we could all have got food together. It did take us awhile it figure out how it use them properly as well. Since it was understaffed most of the tables were still dirty and no toilet paper in the women's restroom. The flavors were OK. Its like Subway for ramen noodles. You pick you noodle, broth, protein, than additional things. I felt like they offered flavors that are a mix of various Asian cuisines... Japanese, Chinese, Thai, maybe even a little Korean. The Good: I really enjoyed the noodles as they were the perfect texture. The fire noodles could have used a bit more spice. The tonkatsu broth was excellent, both rich and tasty, probably some of the best ramen broth I have had (it was also at the perfect temperature). The protein (braised pork belly) was perfect in both texture and taste. I thought the wings were excellent. A little plain, but perfectly fried and seasoned. We got the spicy sauce on the side, and it was spot on. The Bad: The menu is quite confusing because you enter the line from the right, and work your way left. Likewise with the hung digital menus, it moves from right to left as far as the steps & choices you need to make. When you are trying to choose items, its hard to see the menus, as they are directly above you. Would have been better to mount the menus behind the counter so that we can read them while ordering. They are rather new, and the person helping us told us several different things about the loyalty program. Literally we had 3 different stories from 2 people. Put the info on the wall, because its rather hard to understand someone who doesn't know what they are talking about, and behind a mask, behind a sneeze shield, under a hood fan, etc. Its also ridiculous that you need to earn a rather large amount of loyalty points to get the Tokidoki trinket (you can't buy it). Kinda a low blow when your kids want one, but you need to spend $100 to get one. $200 if you have two kids. Yeah, you see my problem. The all black decore in the restroom probably wasn't the best choice. With the hard water and lack of cleaning, it was horrible. The men's restroom was awful... filthy, dirty, and not cleaned (Worse than most men's restrooms). Maybe a cleaning schedule is needed? read more
