At our first meeting where we were given an estimate, I thought the Plummer was pleasant and was giving good feedback about my property. As a result, I chose to go with him for the services even though his pricing was amongst the higher estimates we received. But because we were working on a timeline and the Plummer had several job bookings that conflicted, he sent his son over to do the work for us. I should have rescheduled to have him come back but I was on a timeline and I needed my plumbing to be done. What happened was that there was a miscommunication between the father and son. The son told us he would return to replace the toilet once our bathroom floor tile is complete with no additional charge. The father returned later to complete the work and said that there would be an additional charge for a second visit. He got really upset that we weren't willing to pay him for the additional charge. First of all, I asked to make sure that there would be no additional charge and the son verified that. What was on our estimate was exactly what we were expected to pay. I paid part of it first and said I'll pay the remaining amount once we get the work completed. If we were expected to pay an additional fee, they should have advised us from the start or at least during the first visit. We didn't know of the additional charge until AFTER the work was completed on the second visit. As you can see, I wasn't too thrilled with this after the fact notice. We were arguing for a bit about it and I offered to negotiate and compromise by giving him only a portion of what he had asked for. He finally said, "you can pay me what you feel like". So I ended up just paying him what was on the estimate + a little extra to compromise with the situation. Overall the job was done okay, but I wasn't too happy with the experience. The Plummer kept ignoring my point that his son represented his company and thus what he said should be honored. This was a very frustrating experience. Not only did I feel that I overpaid for the services, but the customer service wasn't even good. At least if you overpaid and you know you got good customer service, then it's not so bad but if you didn't even get that...I just have to question what I am paying for. I know everyone's experiences will be different, this is just mine. read more

These are the guys you will want to call for whatever plumbing needs you have. Our warehouse in Anaheim was having a couple issues ranging from no heat from our tankless water heater, to a profusely leaking toilet. Brian had come out originally to give an estimate (which was cheaper than a couple other quotes we had received). Then he and his son, Eric, had come out the following day to let me know what parts they would need. We have had enormous trouble with our sinks and washing machine drainage - he cleared it in less than an hour for a pre agreed fee that was extremely reasonable. I found Drain Masters via HomeAdvisor.com. I requested a quote for work - replace a toilet and kitchen faucet. I received 3 or 4 quotes, one from Drain Masters Plumbing, specifically Eric. While they weren't the lowest quote, I liked their ratings and reviews here on Yelp.com. I scheduled an appointment with Eric. I called on the morning of the appointments to confirm with Eric. He said that he had forgotten and didn't think he could fit it in that day. So, we re-scheduled for later in the month. This time, he didn't call to confirm - he didn't even show up! So much for customer service and follow-up. So, I will be going with another plumber. read more

Called Drain Masters on Thursday and received a prompt call back. I called two other plumbers prior to Drain Masters. One service never returned my call and the other service quoted me a price, but didn't ask any questions about the specific problem we were experiencing. Brian (owner) asked specific questions about the issue and quoted me a fair price to clear our shower drain and advised me of the possibility that the toilet pipe would need to be cleared as well, which was an additional cost. Although he was unable to make it to our home on Friday, he did keep in contact with me on Friday and arranged for an appt. on Sat. He showed up promptly and cleared our shower and toilet pipes with no problem. We would have liked a quote on helping us get our toilet mechanism working again before the work was done, but other than that we were completely satisfied with Drain Masters. The quotes he gave me for the shower and toilet drain were honored and definitely cheaper than the quote I had for the shower drain alone. Hopefully we won't need a plumber again soon, but if we do, we'll use Drain Masters again. read more

Need a plumber, call Drain Masters. I had previously dealt with the supposedly "good smelling guys" well they may smell good but their pricing and tactics don't. After being told that I would be charge upwards of $300 just to locate the main in order to unclog our pluming, I asked them to leave and called Erik at Drain Masters. Don't know why I didn't in the first place! After a frustrating 4th of July weekend of no shower or working toilets we called Drain Masters. Erik came right out, on time and like I would expect of a plumber knew exactly where the main was and what to do. Thank heavens. Within less then an hour we were up and working again. Eric and his son Brian have been coming out to my house since we bought it in 1996. I have always had wonderful experiences with these gentlemen, they are honest! They explained to my husband and me exactly what they were going to do, no surprise costs and no BS. Nov. 2009: Sunday morning, massive sprinkler pipe break. Called two or three plumbers with nearby addresses. Sunday afternoon, called back by Drain Masters, appointment made for early Monday morning. Plumber arrived on time, calling to confirm he was on the way. Horrible back breaking job, as all the pipe was surrounded by Big tree roots. The repair was done well with full clean-up and at a fair price. Oct. 2011: our water use for July through September was double the previous year. Only a leak would explain this. Called Drain Masters back to come locate the problem. Received an immediate call back and made an appointment for the next morning. He called to say he was on the way, arrived right on time. First, a broken sprinkler head was found and fixed. But we could still hear water running. Next a leaking toilet, found and fixed. Alas water noise persisted and the water meter continued to run. Drain Masters summoned Pipe Scope Services whose sophisticated equipment allowed them to pin point the source and to locate the appropriate pipes. Ultimate diagnosis, our worst fear realized: slab leak in the center of the entry hall. Solution: they opened the walls next to the toilets, (done neatly, with drop cloths positioned to contain the mess,) tapped into the water line and bypassed the leak by running new pipe up through the attic across the house to the water heater. Brian laid out a number of options, clearly explaining what the problems were, how they could be solved, with prices for each segment of labor broken out so we could make educated choices. We scheduled full repair with maximum services. Once again, Drain Masters was right on time, meticulous in prep to avoid dirt and damage. They brought all the tools and materials they needed, they worked non-stop, left us with reconnected water lines overnight and completed the job with careful cleanup the following day as specified. This father and son are polite, professional and I enthusiastically recommend them without reservations. read more
