SERVICE. This is the second time I have contacted "Bert" (the owner) at First Option Plumbing to provide residential plumbing services. Following a camera inspection and receipt of a competitive estimate from Bert, I hired First Option Plumbing to remove cast iron drainage pipes concealed in the walls of my home. In the absence of any complications, the job was expected to last around three days. QUALITY. On the day of the re-piping job, Bert and his team of plumbers arrived on time and wearing professional uniforms. After placing protective booties over their shoes, they immediately placed multiple protective coverings on all floor surfaces and taped large plastic tarps along the ceilings and walls to minimize dust and debris. Then they removed the cast iron drainage pipes from several bathroom areas, laundry area, work sink and kitchen. After each cast iron pipe was removed, a brand new ABS drainage pipe was installed in its place. When they were done with the work, they cleaned-up each worksite and didn't leave any of the old cast iron pipes or debris behind. TL/DR: Bert and his plumbing team completed all of the re-piping work efficiently and very quickly. VALUE. Recently moved into a house that is a bit outdated and undermaintained. Asked Bert to come out to assess the state of our plumbing given that our shower and kitchen drains kept backing up. He pleasantly endured my barrage of questions and helped me understand the plumbing system in the house. We scoped all 3 of the cleanouts and found loads of the usual grease, soap scum, hair, etc., which Bert was able to take care of (ream shower and hydrojet kitchen). Dishonest place of business. Had a problem with my maytag washing machine. Machine was not draining+beeping continuously. Someone from this company came and I specifically told him I want the vent cleaned. He said that he can fix the problem. What he did he worked on something totally different, did not clean the vent, and charged me $325 left the machine beeping as it was originally doing. He said that was not his job and I should call a maytag specialist which he did not disclose before he worked on it. He did not replace no valves and did not even clean tbe vent, took the $325 and left.Scammers and untrustworthy company. Will never use them or recommend them. Machine is still beeping. read more

Bert and his team have provided plumbing services for an older triplex we own for several years now. They are always very responsive, prompt and professional. A few weeks ago, I got a call from a tenant at 6:15 a.m. about water backing up in the tub and toilet, and it affected a second unit. I reached out to Bert at 6:45 a.m., he had someone there at 8:30 a.m. and resolved the problem in a timely manner. Last night at 11:00 p.m. I got a call about a similar problem with another unit. I called and left him a message, he responded at 6:30 a.m. this morning saying he was on his way to resolve it. The tenant texted me at 8:05 a.m. to say the job was complete! He also met my husband, used cameras to assess the condition of the drainpipes including the main line so they could find a longer-term solution to the problem and prevent future issues. Had them out to evaluate shut off valves and the pressure regulator on a home I recently purchased which appeared to have original and dated parts.
