Just left from this establishment. Mid afternoon lunch... well, it would have been had a single employee even so much as acknowledged me in the 15 minutes I sat waiting. Multiple waiters and waitresses walked past me. No one even looked my direction. The table of folks sat near me even commented that it seemed like they were ignoring me. First time eating here and I enjoyed it. The mardi party and crunchy munchy rolls were very good. The pretzel and beer cheese appetizer was amazing I will definitely order this again. First time eating at Drakes tonight. Wait was about 10 mins when quoted 25. Fried pickles were good but the sauce served with them was a little weird. More of a fried mushroom sauce. IMO. Service was mediocre, not very friendly didn't seem to like her job, she could have had a bad day or just had a table be rude to her...personal issues...we don't know. You'll have that here and there just sucks for our first experience to have that kind of service. Food: There was so Much to choose from..hard decision but when our food came out all of our fries were cold My husband enjoyed the patty melt and I had Nicks club which was ok. My friend and I were visiting Evansville just for the night and decided to stop by because it was open late. I highly recommend this restaurant! The service was great and the food was delicious. I went to this restaurant with my team. To be fair we were quite loud, but always courteous of the staff. Their staff was fantastic, we got all of our orders correctly, and that is not an easy feat! They were also very friendly, and understood we were not the easiest of customers. However, the manager on duty that night was a ridiculous jerk! He accused one of our people of leaving without paying (he was going outside to smoke and the rest of us were all still seated). He also came at the wait staff A LOT in a very rude and demeaning tone right in front of us! I hope for the restaurants sake they fire him soon! read more

Went here with the family where we ordered the fried pickles. They were really good but the sauce that came with it wasn't the best. Also got an order of the pretzels which were just okay. For the meal we got the 3 mini sliders which were really good and also got the black and blue burger which was not good at all. Severely overcooked which was very upsetting. I removed my 5 star rating and am now giving 1. Not b/c of food or quality, but management and lack of consideration. We visited the Evansville Drakes tonight with our 4-year-old granddaughter. They sat us next to the garage doors. Outside the doors was a large group who was finished eating at the point we sat down. No big deal. About 30 or 40 minutes later when we got our food, the sun was setting and coming in the garage doors in our faces, especially the little shorty 4-year-old. We asked the door be dropped enough to get the sun out of her eyes because she couldn't eat with it in her face. They come back and tell they won't drop it any lower because the group outside that had been done eating for well over half an hour was "watching the game". The game on had a 40 point deficit; not much to watch. I asked to speak to the manager and was told "they were here first". I told her fine, I'm done. We are here literally every weekend and will never be back. My family in total spends (spent) ~$400 a month there. She was back and forth and finally said she'd go talk to them. She was insisting we move, and I asked why they want to inconvenience a 4-year-old over people who have been done eating for quite some time and just hanging out. It would be easier for them to move. Again, I was told they were here first. She ended up dropping the door but he @$$hats outside were mouthing us the whole time. She went over and started mouthing us to the bar manager who then began shooting us looks and kept walking by our table glaring at us. A little karma when she was called into the bar to help and she had to look our way and was blinded by the light. Both mangers were female. There is usually the store manager guy there but evidently not tonight. So the thing is, I am not exaggerating when I say we would hit drakes 3 to 4, maybe even more, times a month. We are Done. I'm done defending Drakes. I'm Done supporting Drakes and you will never get another dollar of my hard earned money. To be honest, Buba 33's is really better overall anyway. Their burgers aren't as good, but the wings and pizza are amazing and their staff is thoughtful, helpful and courteous. We'll be there every weekend here on out. So long Drakes... read more

Just had a late lunch here with hubby. Griddle- seared chicken was very flavorful and moist. The all-American burger was delicious and boasted creamy, melting cheese. It was our first time there. Very disappointed. We ordered drinks and didn't get them for like 15 minutes. Then we ordered appetizers and received them after waiting 20 minutes. We ordered food and sat there for 30-40 minutes until our waitress finally came to our table and said our order didn't get sent back to the kitchen. So we had to wait another 20-30 minutes before we got our food. They never offered to take anything off our check and when we mentioned it they ignored the request. We won't be back for sure. Waited too long for refills. We were thirsty. Fried pickles were great. Fish minis not so much. The fish was good but doesn't go well with bun. Not enough fries with fish minis either. I found the wait staff to be very disconnected with our refreshment needs. The fried fish is always good and so is the sushi but fish minis not always good. Normally I would give 4 stars but I don't like to see my family parched and choking on their fish minis because they have no refreshment so no 4 star. Better luck next time. read more

Always willing to try a new place, but disappointed. Our waiter was not on top of his game for sure. Told my wife the broccoli was plain but it was drowned in lemon tasting butter. And he didn't refill our drinks had to get someone else to do it. Didn't know you could mess up coleslaw but they found a way. I'm from out of town and have traveled all the way to Drakes twice. First time for my girls birthday, I called ahead and asked if they did anything for birthdays. They said yeah we can have someone sing a song. So we go out there and when I ask about the song they all look dumbfounded and say that they don't do songs or anything special for birthdays. Also kitchen was closed so we weren't even able to get anything to eat. Couple of months later, I call ahead to make sure of the hours and kitchen close time, and they told me, we close at 1, kitchen closes at midnight. So me and my girl travel all the way there and when we get there they immediately tell us that the kitchen is closed and they're not serving any food. I confront them and they say, sorry for the inconvenience, we close at midnight, kitchens close at 11. We call the manager about it and he has an attitude the whole time and says the I must've heard wrong. read more
