This is one of my favorite spots for happy hour. We got there around 4:30 and ordered oysters, the famous cheeseburger, and drinks since they were all half-price. The oysters were fresh, plump, and briny, while the cheeseburger definitely lived up to the hype. It was juicy, flavorful, and came with a crunchy pickle on the side that was the perfect complement. The drinks were refreshing and well made. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. She checked on us several times to make sure everything was good, which made the experience even better. The place started filling up quickly as rush hour approached. The bar was packed with people coming in for happy hour, and there was already a wait for seats, so I'd definitely recommend getting there early. Yes, the menu prices have increased, but the happy hour deals still make it worth a visit.
We were told to visit this place while visiting Dallas. I'm glad we got to give it a try! We wanted the frozen Bellini but apparently they sold out during happy hour. Such a bummer. We got the following dishes: -Dynamite shrimp- decent -comes with a little salad -Beverly salad- my sister enjoyed it but the onion crispies were not very crispy. -Tuna & ginger salad was very refreshing and I enjoyed it. The mangos were ripe which I've been to places where they are not. The tomatoes had a nice seasoning on it and the combination just works. -Fish tacos- my aunt didn't care for. It actually looked more like a burrito wrapped up and the fish was a bit on the salty side. -Parmasean truffle fries were crispy and tasty! We finished off with the key lime pie. We were split on it. It wasn't my favorite. I didn't think it was quite limey enough. The whipped cream had fresh lime zest which was nice. Overall, I'm glad we got to try it. Service was good and plenty of parking!
The food is amazing. I've had the Greek salad with salmon and chicken, 10/10. I've had the French chicken, my favorite by far. I've had the popcorn and dynamite shrimp, so delicious
Nice little upscale restaurant. We went for lunch without a reservation on Thursday for a party of 5 and waited 20-30 mins for a spot outside. We shared Dynamite Shrimp and Truffle fries for the table. Both were pretty solid; I like how the fries are thin and crispy. I got the Beverly, which our waiter said was really good. I did enjoy it, good portion and very fresh. I heard the burger is also apparently really good so next time might try that. Overall solid but can get busy so getting a reservation might be helpful.
Was told Hudson House is a Dallas staple and after living here for a few years decided to finally try it out. It is very cute inside and the perfect spot for a little girls night out. The food was good and portions were reasonable. My favorite was prob the truffle fried and the salad the came with the French chicken. Not sure if that is the same dressing they use four their house salads but it was for sure the best salad I've had. The lobster roll was chilled so if you like a chilled roll then it's a good option. The tuna crispy rice was not fishy at all and was pretty good with a bit of lemon - and that is coming from someone who does not like raw fish. Finally the chicken was good for was it was, nothing mind blowing but at the end of the day it is chicken so. Also side note, they are a cashless restaurant so that's something to keep in mind. Would recommend coming by if you're in the area!
Had a pretty good experience at Hudson House. The food was fresh, flavorful, and presented really well. The grill chicken plate was seasoned perfectly with a nice balance of textures, and the fries were hot and crispy. The Fish taco wraps were also packed with flavor and paired great with the fresh salad and dipping sauce. The real standout of the visit was definitely the cocktails the frozen Peach Bellini was a 10/10. Smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was relaxed and trendy, service was friendly, we sat at the bar and overall it was a solid dining experience. Both bartenders were amazing Definitely a great spot for brunch, lunch, or cocktails with friends.
I wasn't fully prepared when we came to eat here, so I was a bit underdressed. We did not have a reservation on a Sunday evening and was told by a host that it would be a 45 minute wait. I didn't feel like the hostess wanted us there and told us that thinking we would leave, but we waited. About 15 minutes of waiting another female came and asked us if we had been helped and we told her about the wait. She kinda gave a side eye and looked around the restaurant and found us a table within seconds. I did feel a little put off by the first person we encountered but the second woman helped us and things were amazing from that point on. Our server was awesome, we had a lemon drop martini and a Bellini each and let me tell you, I was feeling good by the end of dinner. We ordered the dynamite shrimp bc we had seen another person chowing down on those and indeed they were delicious. I could've ordered 2. We also ordered some oysters which were decadent and fresh and came with some good sauces. The lobster rolls tho! Jam packed with lobster, the roll was soft and buttery, and the fries were a light addition to the meal. No crumbs were left behind. All in all, the prices were great for what we ordered and I would gladly pay $200 for dinner and the great service we had from our server.
First time here with a friend for dinner today. Seating is very comfortable, and the interior is very decorative. Waitress was friendly and took our orders quickly upon sitting down. I got the French chicken. The fries were well seasoned, not soggy and the salad was great. Chicken was amazing and the portions for this dish was reasonable. My friend ordered the Beverly salad which I only hear good things about during the dinner. It is something I would want to try next time! The only thing I would say is that the restaurant was a bit loud and hard to hear my conversations at times but it might be dependent on the time of day you go. Definitely a great experience, and would recommend this place if you haven't been before!
You know the type of people who need to be Velcro'd to others 24/7? Yea, I'm not her! I love my own company and don't seek validation from others or have any desire to constantly be in a pack, I actually prefer being left the f alone. I think that's a rare breed trait that I don't find much of around these parts, except for Saturday afternoon when I glanced to my right and lo and behold a unicorn sighting! Another woman, by herself (gasp!) fork and knifing a cheeseburger with a martini at the bar. I quickly thought this must be my own reflection in a mirror but nope! There she was and I suddenly liked HH even more than I already had. I stopped in after a blood donation to treat myself to lunch instead of my usual bike ride, as I'd had this spot bookmarked for a little bit and the Red Cross advises against drinking alcohol or exercising post donation which induces the same type of temptation as a do not touch sign. On this occasion I chose to drive right to a day drink! I'm a bourbon and tequila drinker but every now and again I'll dabble with a vodka based espresso martini if I know I won't be in any situation where my judgement can get questionable. I've rarely if ever met an espresso martini I didn't like but the way these ice shards healed a part of me I didn't know needed healing should be studied. I try not to be too picky about my cocktails but I may be requesting this style moving forward. Chefs kiss! My burger and fries hit the spot, but I have found a cheeseburger that has taken first place in my heart for the time being and HH was not able to bump them out of their standing. Service was exceptional. Great spot for lunch! I'll def be returning, highly recommend - lots of large groups (if that's your style and it prob is) and the bar is perf for a solo outing. Good time Saturday afternoon vibe.
My wife and some friends came here for brunch. We had the Lobster Egg Benedict. And it was flavorful and excellent! Light and creamy and the lobster was perfect. I loved the cute decor and the way they designed the restaurant. It felt like it belonged by the ocean. Our waiter was very attentive and was funny. He kept things light and fun. We will definitely come again!
Was out shopping over the weekend and needed someplace to pop in for lunch and decided to check out the Addison location of Hudson House. The place was nice, bright, and busy. Our waiter was very friendly. I ordered the seared tuna salad and a side of the fries. I requested the dressing on the side and was told that it's automatically done that way. Alright then. My SO went with the cheeseburger and a side of fries. Shocked they have to be ordered separately, but I guess that's where we're at now. Food came out in good time, with my SO's being hot off the grill. He said his burger was "okay." Fries were good. My salad not only already was drowning in dressing under the tuna/avocado/mango stack but also had a cup of it on the side. I didn't feel like waiting for another salad. So, I just ate the stuff off the top and left the soggy lettuce on the bottom there. All in all - for the price ($70 for us 2 - water to drink) - it just wasn't worth it. There wasn't anything special about the food. It was okay. That's about it. Don't foresee making this place a regular thing.
We arrived to an issue on seating for an open table reservation. We've had the issue in the past, but this time the manager stepped in and fixed it immediately. I was very impressed by him. Our table server was very good as well. Oysters were very good, but it still drives me nuts how much everyone charges for an oyster. $50 for a dozen. Avocado dip is very good, but basically guacamole and a very small portion. Dynamite shrimp were very good with larger than expected and perfectly cooked shrimp. Two of us had the French chicken. My daughter's dish was nice and tender. Mine was overcooked and dry unfortunately. The huge Beverly salad was well liked as well as the cheeseburger and fries.
The outside patio is a great vibe. The food and service here are exceptional. The peach bellini's and steak frites are highly recommended!

Went back recently to get what made me fall in love with Hudson House in the first place -- the fish taco. Since my last review, they've changed the ingredients. They now put cinnamon in the cole slaw which was really off putting. I couldn't finish the wrap sadly. Please consider changing it back! I really don't think the cinnamon is necessary. On the other hand, I tried a few new items. The dynamite shrimp, crispy rice and the chicken parm. The dynamite shrimp was pretty good. It's not anything I just HAVE to get next time I visit, but it wasn't bad. I feel like maybe it was a little more greasy than flavorful but overall it's not bad. The crispy rice was good! Again nothing to rave about but just a standard crispy rice. The chicken parm was surprisingly really really good. The pasta was so creamy and flavorful I really enjoyed that! read more

Tried to make it to Hudson House's happy hour, but it was very packed with no openings available. Nevertheless, we waited for a table to open. I ordered the oysters, lobster Mac, and cheeseburger. Oysters were on the skinnier side but tasted fresh. Lobster mac and cheese was phenomenal!! super cheesy, thick, and gooey. Only thing is the lobster itself could've had a little more flavor and seemed just a tad bit overcooked, but nothing egregious. The burger was really solid too. Great bun-to-meat ratio, cooked well. The large pickle on the side was... interesting. The seasonings on top were great. However, the texture of the pickle was just okay. It was a soggy pickle instead of crunchy one. Overall, great vibes. Busy spot, good energy, and there's actually a decent amount of parking. I'd go back for sure! read more

First time trying brunch at Hudson House. I had the Hudson Sandwich, however I asked for no bread. The eggs were made to perfection and the bacon was crispy. I highly recommend. I had the Strawberry Spritz drink with my meal, which was a great pairing. I always love their dinner and now I can say their brunch is just as good. I recommend sitting on their patio if the weather is good. read more
Had lunch with a friend in this lovely fall day. We sat on the semi covered patio and thought it was amazing. We each had a cocktail and shared the Beverly Salad, string fries and Broccoli parm. All was good, enjoyable, healthy options. We will return. Wish they had crab claws!!!! read more

I would come back just for the Mac n cheese and chips. The burger wasn't my favorite but the pickle was pretty good. I had a cocktail which was delicious. I can't speak on the shellfish offerings but price was reasonable. I would go back but probably just for a to go Mac n cheese or apps and drinks. read more

First impressions are lasting impressions. I arrived my friends were already there waiting for me. The hostess showed us to our table and immediately said that this is a 90 minute dining experience. The smile left off her face after that notification. That didn't leave a very pleasant feeling amongst myself and my friends. Unfortunately, the music was definitely good, but when the noise monitor on my Apple Watch goes off, then something is too loud. We could hold a conversation but talking a little bit louder than normal. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the parm broccoli was wonderful. Everyone else really liked their entrees. We could not remember the servers name, but he was fabulous. In reviewing the restaurants website if the 90 dining experience time limit is policy please direct me to it. Usually there is a sales pitch for dessert, but none was offered. I would have probably like the key lime pie. First IMPRESSIONS, always remember that. read more

I always heard great reviews about Hudson House and now i know how true they are! Our experience was top notch from when we walked in the door to when we walked out. Our hostess was kind, waitress was very nice and attentive. The burger was delicious and a way bigger portion size than i was expecting. Also the pickle was a total surprise and divine. We sat outside while the weather was pleasant. There's fans and it's still enclosed which is nice in the Texas summers we went on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy but i still recommend making a reservation just in case. Overall a great experience and we can't wait to come back to try happy hour! read more

An excellent establishment! Delicious food and strong Bellinis. Oysters so fresh that you just can't stop at one! Love their Ahi tuna salad, I can't believe how big the steaks were! They have a great happy hour until 6pm, but only at the bar! My friend and I arrived and the bar was full, but they offered to seat us on the patio and honor the happy hour. That was still a wait, so we watched the bar for an opening to grab a drink. The happy hour includes half priced martinis which they advertise as very cold, glasses of wine, $3 East coast oysters, and $10 cheeseburgers. I had a dirty gin martini and it was very good! I'm not a blue cheese fan, but next time I might need to try. The blue cheese salt on the rim of those tempted me. My friend and I shared a dozen oysters. Both the cocktail and mignonette sauces were very tasty! We also split a cheeseburger which was honestly way better than I expected. Very impressed and will be back for happy hour again! read more

Your message: Hello/ I came last night for happy hour and Jose was our server and so rude. I specifically said I wanted the happy hour bleu and gold and he and he and got. I told him we were ordering happy hour oysters and to come back before 6. He came back at 6:05 and said we couldn't order happy hour oysters. My drink was charged full price. My friend is gluten free and he didn't bring carrots like he said he would with our avocado dip. I ordered the green goodness dressing with my salad and he gave me ranch. Seriously was a rude and not attentive server. Barely checked on us. Didn't bring sauce for my friends fries that she had asked for. read more

I was in town for a quick trip and my friend found this place for happy hour. Any place that offers half price martinis has to be amazing. There were several different Oyster options which we liked. The Cheeseburger for $10 looked fantastic. I didn't order this but it looked amazing. For cocktails, the Bleu & Gold was so good! This dirty martini perfectly with the Oysters. The cocktail bar was pretty full around 4pm, but the oyster bar was wide open and had great service. If I'm back in town, I'd love to come back and explore more of the menu. read more

What a pleasant experience I enjoyed yesterday meeting up with a dear friend of mine at Hudson House! Our waiter Liam did an amazing job with waiting on us and making sure we were fully taken care of. Even as the he picked up more tables as the lunch rush was increasing, he still made sure to check in with us, refill our drinks/ water, and make sure we had everythingee needed! I extend my sincerest appreciation to this establishment and your choice in choosing excellent workers (Liam)! Now, let's move on to the main course. I was very tempted by the burger, but ultimately decided on a salad, and I'm so pleased I did. I can't recall the exact name, but it was truly delicious! The avocado ranch dressing complemented all the ingredients perfectly. Everything was clearly fresh and beautifully prepared. To accompany my meal, I enjoyed one of their mocktails, and it was delightful. I selected the one that had a delightful ginger base and was quite tasty! I found my choices for this gathering to be very satisfying! The establishment's atmosphere, especially while sitting on the patio, was truly serene. Enjoying the outdoors and the patio seating enhanced the experience considerably. The pleasant temperature and gentle breeze made sitting outside particularly delightful. I haven't visited their other locations, but if you happen to be in or near Addison and would like to stop by, please feel free to try one of their delicious salads and their ginger mocktail. I believe you'll be pleased with your visit. read more

Wow, I was very impressed with this food! Short menu, fresh food and service at bar was awesome! Love when a bartender has good knowledge and chats it up! It was nice and chill environment around happy hour for sure! I am looking forward going back to try some more dishes!! read more

Is the seafood fresh or previously frozen especially the oysters? I just know being so close to the Addison airport there's a chance of it being good fresh seafood.
The oysters are definitely fresh. They have seafood suppliers to fly them in from the east coast. I highly recommend the oysters at this place.
Would this be a good place to have a lunch interview I.e. quiet enough to hold a conversation, classy, etc?
