Grew up in the neighborhood and have been driving past this spot for a couple of months now. Came in on a Sunday morning and there were already a few people in line. Parking was easy as there's a decent amount of street parking. They have quite the menu when it comes to coffee, smoothies, bagels and sandwiches. I got an iced vanilla latte with almond milk and a Lox in Broadway for takeout. Inside (as well as their outside patio) is super aesthetic and Instagrammable. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. There are a few tables inside as well as outside. The coffee was outstanding, not super strong but delicious nonetheless - I will definitely be back to try more of their drinks. The Lox on Broadway bagel was delicious and filling. It was an Everything Bagel topped with tons of cream cheese, cucumbers, heirloom tomatoes, lox, pickled onions and capers. Fairly new location. Open for only 2 months to be exact. The 1st location is at DTLA. I was very hungry and was going to go to Jinky's Cafe. Looked at the time and they were about to close by the time I would get to Sherman Oaks. Found this cute, quaint, cozy Dre's Cafe on Yelp, which is literally 7 minutes away from my house. They also close at 3 like most breakfast/brunch/lunch type of cafes. . Walked in yesterday at 1:50pm and got a nice greeting from Adrian and Milena. Milena, with a beautiful smile and personality took my order and I wanted to sit and eat inside. She was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. They have both inside and outside seating. We got caught up in this nice conversation and for only being 19, she was very smart and bright for her age. Moving forward with the rest of my review. I got their Vanilla decaf Iced Latte,($7.00, +75¢ for Almond Milk), (standard size cup). Was pretty pricy and I even told her. Latte was made to perfection! Very well balanced and was not too strong. Also, got me 1 Turkey Pesto Sandwich with the following ingredients: Turkey, Provolone Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato and Pickles. ($16.00) on an Italian Roll. Very fresh, delicious and great portion for a sandwich. You can eat it cold or hot. I also got their Avocado Cucumber Salad ($12.00), with Arugula, Cucumber, Avocado, with Ponzu-Sesame dressing FuriKake. Dressing was already mixed in. My salad also tasted very delicious and fresh. As a new customer, she gave me 2 standard size Hash Browns and a nice round Chocolate Chip Cookie with Sea Salt on top. Delicious and fresh. Both- complimentary. Took my food to go, since they were closing at 3pm. Place was very clean, 1 gender neutral restroom and you can park outside. This could not have been a more perfect balance of sweet and that strong coffee flavor! The cold foam didn't overpower the drink with milkiness and it wasn't watered down, I could cry! Disgusting soggy bread!! Never felt so disgusted with my food. They freeze their bread and put inside a machine to warm it up, apparently the machine does not fix old frozen soggy bread. The first time I visited, I had such a great experience that I came back later the same day to pick up drinks for my coworkers. Unfortunately, my second visit was a completely different experience. When I arrived to pick up my order--20 minutes after the scheduled pickup time--my drink hadn't even been started. I was also told they had already sold out of the cans I wanted for the drinks. The drink itself was disappointing as well. I ordered a strawberry matcha drink with thick cold foam( that is about $3 more), but the foam was watery and disappeared before I even made it to my car. On top of that, I could barely taste any lavender in my lavender latte , which was the main flavor I ordered. I was really excited to come back after such a great first impression, so it was disappointing that my second visit fell so far short.
