Fried pork chop, okra, cornbread, and greens in the bottom container. Fried chicken breast and cornbread in the top.

Juiciest fried chicken I've EVER HAD!! It was soooo good! We had a fried chicken breast, fried pork chop, okra, cornbread, and greens. My only negative: parking lot is small (as in people don't know how to drive and our car accidentally got hit by someone trying to turn around) so park on the street and don't risk it! My only less than stellar thoughts: the cornbread was dry, wish it wasn't, and I would've liked the greens to have more flavor from the meat it's cooked in. We will definitely be back! Can't wait to try the catfish and smother pork chops. The staff was super friendly and welcoming! We love a cute family owned restaurant where we feel like family! GO!!! RUN!! It is worth the try!!

So my baked chicken was superb, the green beans were perfect and the mashed potatoes were fine once I put a little salt on it. Service was as great and it filled up quickly with other customers. I love the down home feel. Yes I'll be back,

Good old fashioned southern soul food is what they're know for. Get your taste buds ready and experience the fried chicken or the fried pork chops. I love them both so I always get 2 plates. The service is prompt as this place fills up quickly. It's good to eat in or just as good to take out. The greens, yams, and fried corn are my favorite vegetables here, but come and try for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

The best food I've had in years. The fried chicken is delicious, but the veggies were my favorite. From the cabbage to the collards (which I ended up ordering a pint to take with me) this place knows how to prepare authentic, flavorful food for the soul. And as a nice bonus they have cherry kool aid slushes!! Krystal was my server and she was very attentive and didn't mind helping me pick her favorites from the menu. The entire meal including two plates, a large drink, pint of collards, half dozen extra cornbread AND a delicious piece of italian cream cake were around $50. I tipped well for the great service. Be sure to keep their hours in mind, as they close the dining room service at 2:30, but you can order to go until 3. Closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday. If you're in the area I highly recommend!

This review can be quickly summarized as: Best fried chicken in DFW. I can't get chicken home, because I sit in the car and eat it all. Do yourself a solid and make your sides at home and get their chicken. Finger licking good.

Fried chicken, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese

Let me start by saying, I have been by this place a few times and they were always closed. Today was my lucky day. I ordered a small plate of chicken, fried of course, collard greens and Mac & cheese. The food came out, hot and smelling good. If y'all had smell-a-review, you 'd know what I was saying, lol. Every bite was good. So, good most people would say you could slap your mama (however, I would not say that since my mom is still on this earth and she'd slap me back ). The crunch on the chicken was so loud, you could hear it all over Fort Worth. Everything is served in Styrofoam, which is a plus because it's an easy carry out. One slight detractor, a little too much salt. Just drink plenty of water so your ankles won't be swollen. I noticed everybody was getting the sweet potatoes. That will be my next venture. I think if you want good down home Soulfood, you should try this place. I know I will be back.

Are they still open? I live in Fort Worth and I've passed the restaurant several times during their alleged business hours; and the doors are closed and parking lot is empty.

Their hours can vary. I've seen them close for spring break in the past. I think this is truly a "mom and pop" place. Family owned business that will close for family. But don't let that deter you from trying again! The times when I catch them open,… Read more

Very upscale area so the inside is upscale PRICE: ~$70 I think WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! **** Overall Rating: 9/10 - I was surprised by how fancy this place was (it is in the Clearfork shopping area which is known as a bougie shopping center so not super surprised). - The biscuits were so so good I wish that I took a picture of them but I recommend those for sure! The fried chicken and kale salad complemented each other so well I highly recommend as well. - The deviled eggs were good but they are just basic so you can skip those (unless if you were craving it). - The pimento cheese was very good too it was packed with flavor. I wish it came with more bread but I'm assuming we could've asked for more. - A little pricier than you would think but honestly this place had so much flavor I'm not gonna continue to complain about that lol.

We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.

The brunch and lunch menus didn't offer any type of appetizers, but I wish they would have the food service took quite a minute to have our meals brought to our table. I ordered the salmon Benedict's and my husband ordered a cheeseburger. We were quite perplexed on their sides. They don't offer french fries with a hamburger or even a bag of chips. Their sides are potatoes au gratin, asparagus, Mac & cheese,if they have it, and mushrooms. We were also quite surprised at the exact location of this restaurant. It's tucked away on a small street of a camp Bowie in a strip shopping center. We found the food to be very good, but it'd be nice to have appetizers on every menu and it would be nice if you could have french fries to go with a cheeseburger. I'm sharing pictures of the menu for the brunch and lunch. The dinner menu has more options.

The location: this location is a part of a ghost kitchen. It is located in the corner of a small parking lot. You'll see plenty of food delivery signs above a building...that's the building you want to order from. The interior was just a box room, with a couple of chairs and an Ipad to order from. The service: so, apparently there's normally a receptionist or a welcomer who greets you, but there was noone there the day that we visited. It left us kind of guessing. However, two of the owners came out and made sure they checked in on customers to make sure everyone was taken care of. That was nice. They kept up updated on our order and what was going on in the kitchen. I appreciated that service and updates. The food: the food was goodt! Okay, so the mac n cheese was good. So, I'm not a cheese person. However, their Mac n cheese could've have used some more cheese. Now the actually macaroni was cooked to perfection though. The macaroni really good. The overall, mac n cheese just could've have had a little bit more flavor/cheese. The chicken! OMG the chicken was everything. It had a very bold flavor of spices. The chicken was crispy enough, but not too crispy. It wasn't mushy but was firm. I wish I would've mixed my macaroni n cheese and my chicken together. However that chicken was gobbled up so fast. Overall, I wish the ghost kitchen was a little more welcoming. However the flavor was delicious and I'd definitely be back to try more menu items.

So this place is a compilation of restaurants in one space that you can't see. There's just a receptionist desk to receive your order. It takes the personal aspect away it feels cold and soulless to just not talk to anyone but I guess that's the way the world is going. Some of the business owners did peek their heads out and greet us and they were nice but then went back to prepping and cooking their orders. There's no music or entertainment or anything just a waiting room with nothing in it but a bathroom. I get it you get the benefit of starting a restaurant without being in your house you have a nice clean place to cook and serve orders and your overhead is extremely low. It's a great start to businesses but it's very impersonal. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of Mac and cheese. I feel like this meal should not have been 30 bucks especially with the money that's saved from not having a stand alone restaurant with employees like cooks, hostess, bus boys and managers. My chicken was really good the seasoning was on point and delicious. The waffle was soggy and soft but I think a lot of people like their waffle that way I prefer a crispy waffle. I'm sure they could easily make it that way but you can't freaking talk to anyone to communicate that request, so you get whatever the computer tells you you can get. The Mac and cheese was ok it could have been cheesier and more creamy I added some non vegan ingredients to get it the way I like it but I have cooked vegan Mac and cheese dishes that had more of a consistency of vegan cheese and noodles. It's good has potential it just needs more love. It wasn't worth 5 bucks though since I had to add to it. So to be honest my 4 stars come from the fact that this is a good business with friendly service. It has great potential and I want to see them succeed since it's a BOB. As a whole I am not a fan of this order from an iPad then wait for your food and not talk to anyone concept. The concept gets 2 stars because it sucks.
