Okay, so I'm meat-free on certain days of the week and found this place had meatless crabcakes. Yummmm. So good. I will be back!

The Chinese and Mexican Salads are both amazing! Worth the money! The chicken salad in the case or on the sandwich is another favorite! Get the Blums cake! It is worth every calorie. This most recent visit we skipped it in favor of the strawberry cake which was stale and a big let down. I called later to let them know it should probably be pulled and should have been so a day or so earlier. I get it--it's hard to keep cake fresh without a lot of preservatives, but even at room temp it was stale. Blums cake will never let you down, though. Best to go on a day when patio dining works with the weather because inside can be loud and crowded at lunch! It's a very popular place!

There was always a crowd here, but there is a pretty quick turnaround. It's loud so you do have to speak up to hear each other. My mom and I both had combo number one which is a half a sandwich with the soup of the day. Today they had tomato soup and chili. My mom had half a turkey sandwich with tomato soup and I had half of a chicken Panini with a bowl of chili.! The service was quick and the food was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back to try other items.

My family really enjoyed their meals, and overall, it was such a delightful experience. I do have one small, constructive suggestion, coming from someone with sensory sensitivities. It would be really helpful if the menu provided more detail about what the salad includes. For example, when I read "lettuce," I expected romaine or iceberg, not spring mix. I wouldn't have ordered the salad had I known it was spring mix, as it's quite different for me. This is a minor point and big to others, but it didn't take away from what was otherwise such a nice visit.

Flavor and taste was spot on, really well balanced. The seafood nachos, however, didn't arrive warm or very fresh with delivery. I could still tell the flavors were there, but this is definitely something I'd recommend dining in for rather than ordering online. The burrito supreme was well stuffed, wrapped nicely, and full of flavor. I would absolutely order this again. One small suggestion: it would be great if items with a spicy kick were noted on the menu. I was a bit caught off guard by the level of spice/seasoning. Also didn't see the option to edit my order (remove a certain ingredient or topping, etc) Overall, solid food and flavors--I'll definitely be dining in soon

Wow what an amazing experience!…read more We came into Taste Community since we had heard about its service to the community. We did have to wait 15 minutes to be seated but were greeted with very sweet workers who were all volunteers. The energy in there is amazing. We ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and the Chinese salad with lemonade. The food was exceptional and the waiters went above and beyond. They do have restriction on how much you can order as they do not want food to go to waste. A small plate and larger plate was definitely enough food for both of us. You are able to pay/donate how much you can.

But, I chose Esperanza's on a recent Fort Worth vacation because they have more menu items that their sister restaurant. Last visit over 10 years ago; went back for the Mole Enchiladas I had from 2012. Yet, this still isn't a menu item. You can get every other sauce on Enchiladas in the know Mexican cuisine except this combination. Yet, they are happy to oblige instead of the traditional mole covered Chicken bits. Ask for it smothered with Monterrey Jack instead of Cheddar if you take my advice. Rice and beans are good; add the salso to the beans. We opened with a cocktail from the bar, which set a high bar for what followed -- unfortunately, not everything cleared it. The Deviled Eggs with Spicy Best Maid Pickles arrived looking the part, four to an order, but tasted like they'd forgotten to show up to their own party. Bland, flat, and in desperate need of seasoning, we reached for the salt shaker, which helped, but shouldn't have been necessary. The pickles, to their credit, were doing their absolute best and were genuinely the only flavor happening on that plate. Skip these. The pickles deserve better supporting cast. The Cheeseburger with Wasp Sauce on a potato bun, however, is a different story entirely. We ordered it medium, half expecting the kitchen to interpret that however it pleased, but it arrived cooked exactly as requested, which felt like a small victory worth celebrating. The Wasp Sauce is a mystery worth solving, and the house-made chips that come alongside are fresh, crisp, and dangerously snackable. Pro tip: order a side of ranch for dipping. You're welcome. We also added a side of fries, which were equally excellent. No notes. Little Red Wasp has real charm, great energy, a fun bar, and a cheeseburger worth crossing Main Street for. Just steer clear of the deviled eggs and order the chips with abandon.
