Fiirst time here on drift! I wanted to try there Pizza but they don't serve it until 11 and we got there at 10 but it's ok because I love love the Avocado toast and the dough! Mind they make there own dough is a plus! It's very good. I was skeptical to buy avocado toast because I have avocado and a toast at home hahahah but this I won't be able to make at home because the bread was way better than the one I have at home. The drinks; its ok I would say they can make something better than this one. It's not bad but there's nothing special on it. My friend like the coffee though. Good coffee that's extremely over priced. They charge $2 for almond milk. I've never seen such a huge charge for a milk alternative. It's usually $.75. My 12oz iced Hazelnut latte was $8.70, which is outrageous if you ask me. Tasted good but won't be back. read more

Both me and my brother tried the blue drinks, they were horrible, one of the most disgusting drinks I've ever tasted in my life. The milk one tasted like normal milk and the lemonade one tasted like dog water, Also my dad tried the toast and it tasted weird and had a HAIR in it, The toast was not soft. At least the avacado was fresh, but there is some positive things! the place was very clean and looked nice and ambience was cool, employees and also the servers were nice. Was visiting a friend in Vallejo and randomly searched for coffee nearby. Drift Coffee came up, so we decided to check it out. We walked in right as they were closing (totally our bad), but Ryan was super chill about it and still made us two lattes. He was really friendly and easy to talk to, chatted with us while making the drinks and clearly knows his stuff. It never felt rushed or awkward, which we really appreciated. The lattes were great, smooth, not too bitter, and super easy to drink. Ryan mentioned that the espresso they use is less harsh on your stomach due to the way it's roasted, which was cool to learn. Coffee - 10/10 - I am a coffee snob. The lavender latte was absolute perfection. The sweetness and lavender flavor were at the right amount and the espresso was so rich yet well rounded. The milk was steamed to that glossy & velvety finish that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Avacado Toast 10/10 - like no other Avacado toast I have had. First of all, the focaccia is on another level. Second, the texture from the avocado paired with the freshly sliced tomato - finished with salty cotija and a bright hit of lime makes for a perfect bite. Unbelievable service again!!! God I love coming here. And so does everyone else....the place is always packed and the vibe is on point. The baristas just get it. I have been wanting to try this place because it's next to my favorite store pink arrows. I tried it one day. It was crowded and most of the seating was taken. There wasn't much food left to order. there were a few pastries left. I ordered avocado toast. It was pretty good because it had feta cheese and chili flakes. I don't like cherry tomatoes but I didn't want to waste food so I ate it. I liked the crust of the avocado toast. It was kind of like thin crust pizza. It was crispy. I ordered a hot coffee to go. The to go cup was unique and awkward to carry around especially when hot and the cup was full. the cashier was not that friendly. Many have come before Drift in this spot, but they make great use of the tiny place and provide enough seating to sit down and enjoy the goods if it's a bit chilly out. Found this cute place during the Thursday farmers market! We ordered the Prosciutto Arugula Pizza and it was sooooo delicious!! It's on ciabatta bread with burrata cheese, covered in balsamic glaze, which totally tied everything together. The vegi Focaccia had good flavors but needed more greens and toppings to balance the thickness of the bread. Wish the slice was bigger for the price of over $13. When you ask for a straw they are not wrapped. It's handled with bare hands not even grabbed w a napkin. So keep that in mind maybe next time grab the straw w a napkin or buy them wrap. For the place it's nice inside but doors were open so flies were just hanging around. Not sure why shops or restaurants do this when weather is warm and flies are out! Been here twice so far and love the variety of tea and coffee on the menu. From when you walk in there's this welcoming feeling you receive from the staff and the ambiance of the shop. Love the throw blankets that are offered to customers on the seats and love that there's a water bowl for dogs outside in front of the door. Both visits the staff were helpful and very friendly. Fun artwork on the wall from a local artist. My go to kind of coffee shop when I return to the area. Will definitely return. read more

The flavor was really good but small portion. The tiramisu cup and other pastries are not made in house.. they are shipped from outside sources. So I passed on that . My wife and I love the meat combo and italian prosciutto pizza here. Definitely unique and delicious at a reasonable price. They have a nice patio area in a great part of 1st St Benicia. It is perfect for lunch or relaxing in the afternoon with a coffee or drink. It reminds me of the pizza style at Casa Barotti on College Avenue in Berkeley, but I like the pizza more here and there are more food choices. I definitely suggest Drift check out the different styles of pizza offered at Barotti, as they have a wider variety. The family that runs it is so warm and welcoming. We are very lucky to have a place like this here in town - I really hope people in town recognize what we have! They even have gluten free pizza on Fridays which is pretty special for Benicia. read more
