Iced Honey Latte with Avo Focaccia
    Gina G.

The staff alone from Drift Benicia are so incredibly stellar. Right off the get, I was like yes...this is the spot I'm going to cozy up to with a window view to get some work done (and yes, they have WiFi). I was indecisive on what I wanted to order and the crew helped to guide me with what's popular/hot ticket items to order. They mentioned they're known for their focaccia, so I ordered an avo focaccia and an iced honey latte. The presentation alone for my drink was *snaps* worthy. Loved the reusable straw, and was such a great sipping experience. The focaccia was yummy too, although I wish it was hot out the oven (I know, I know, but I'm Italian). It came topped with cherry tomatoes, cojita cheese, tajin, lime slices, and everything seasoning ($14). Would love to come back to try their pizza or have a glass of wine outdoors on the patio with this beautiful weather. Looks like they currently have a trivia night and extended hours from Thursday-Sunday. Cool spot, and street parking on 1st Street available.

What a charming little spot. Definitely small but cute and quaint. i ordered a Pastry to share with my mom and I nearly ate the whole thing because it was so delicious. Warming it up is always such a Great touch!! The service was quick and helpful they were super friendly, and helped me with my order. I wanted a butterfly lemonade but also an Arnold palmer and they combined the two drink for me. It was super tasty!! I mixed it before getting a picture of the drink split, high recommend it!

Drift in my eyes is our towns little European cafe. If you need a tasty light bite, this is the place to go. We recently went here for pizza but we've been here plenty of times. I know one of the owners would post pictures of herself in Europe before they established themselves on 1st street. When we were in Barcelona a couple of years ago there was a bakery that reminds me so much of this cafe. So that's why I think about Europe anytime I go here. I've never had a bad pizza here. My favorite pasty here is the Conchiglia. It's this buttery and flakey pastry that has this special Italian cream in it. It's the best thing there. You won't be disappointed. Also...I could be wrong but I also think they still have a wine and pizza deal on Farmer's Market Days(Thursday).

Amazingly, it's taken me this long to check out Drift Benicia on 1st Street... I think because my brain still thinks of that spot as the old Java Point cafe heh. But it's definitely worth checking out, very tasty pizza and drinks.... pizza comes in 3 square sections, on a focaccia-like bread. Nice setting, tasty food, and great staff!

OMG! This place is wonderful. Today was my first time, and I was amazed by how good their pizzas are. They use focaccia for the crust, and it was so nice- crispy and fluffy. And their Chi latte is on point. The staff were very cool and had smiles on their faces--a very chill vibe.

Easily the best avocado toast I've had around here. The people who work here are attentive and kind and the focaccia is sooo good. Also appreciate the outdoor seating options. I didn't catch the name of the staff member i was talking to, but I hope they liked my Olivia Dean recommendation!

I got together with my friend for caffeine and a walk. We decided to walk up and down 1st Street and see what called to us. Both of us wanted a drink so we drifted into Drift. What a delightful cafe! The cafe is small and cute inside. There are a few seating areas plus a kids' area. Outside is where we sat where there are several tables, it's dog friendly as well. You order at the counter where the menu is posted. They also have a pastry case on display and fun local food items such as eggs and spreads. The service by the staff was all kinds and quick! I got the Matcha Milk Tea with Soy Milk. It's supposed to be lavender and vanilla but honestly, I didn't taste much lavender. It tasted like a more milky latte, with weaker matcha. It was decent! My friend enjoyed her coffee. I do like how they ask if your drinks are for here or to-go, since we got our drinks in cute glasses. I wasn't hungry but they also serve other food and drinks which look good! Drift Benicia is a delightful cafe on 1st Street. It's a popular spot and worth a visit if you want caffeine and a small bite. Parking is free and available around the neighborhood.

Food was delicious! I'm super critical of matcha, but it's phenomenal, I should've gotten a bigger size. So good for the price. Staff is very hospitable and kind, made me feel right at home. Will definitely be coming back.

If I'm paying 8.50 for an oat milk latte it should be a latte! I'm over 40 and have been drinking them for a while. The first one had so much foam it was toppling over. Don't "mansplain" what makes it a latte. Try harder. Sorry drift, with so many places to get coffee around here I won't be visiting again. And the attitude from the barista who made it correctly was noticed and not appreciated. This was at 1:20 on Monday 2/2 (in case the owner wants to review) The pic is of the remake. I've never had to ask for foam on a latte lol. I like the little shapes they make

Always an amazing cup of joe and the service will brighten your day!! Can't imagine a more friendly, cozy place right in the heart of my morning walk. I like to order something different every time and every drink has been good. They really changed up the morning scene in downtown! Shout out to Carolyn and Joselyn for always making me smile.

I really enjoy the matcha lemonade. It is so refreshing. I was told that they use a ceremonial matcha tea and brews it in-house.

Super cute place! I believe she was the owner who served me was really pleasant. Her young daughter such a cutie came to my table and chatted with me. This place is very dog friendly. Small inside with a few seats with an outdoor patio & the chairs had blankets on them very cozy & welcoming. I ordered an iced toasted marshmallow latte and a rum cake both delicious. Nice to just hang out relax and enjoy your coffee. They do serve wine so I'll be back to relax with a glass of wine! Coco approved

Adding this place to our coffee shop rotation! Staff were super friendly and there were lots of fun flavors to try. We enjoyed an iced toasted marshmallow and iced rose-vanilla latte. Next time we will definitely be trying their ube flavor. Plenty of seating is available indoor or outdoors and drinks are available for there or to go. They also have a cute little kids corner with activities for them to do. We also saw that every Thursday they do $5 wine and pizza! We will definitely be back to try their pizza as well!

The latte itself had a really smooth espresso profile, with the blueberry and maple adding a subtle sweetness without overpowering the coffee.
