I really like this place. I go to the school too, just located inside the school. Fresh coffee every morning.

I really liked how this place was in my college. Once I got a hot chocolate at this place and it was so good.

Even though the small sized gelato cup looked small, it was surprisingly heavy and dense. For the large sized cup, they allowed three different flavors. The kids gobbled up the gelato quickly without offering any of the parents a taste. The iced blueberry lavender latte was very refreshing. The flavors were subtle and didn't overwhelm the coffee. It was on the sweet side until the Ivlce started to melt. They had a bowl of doggy treats next to the door, which was very nice if them. There's a parking lot behind the cafe.

The coffee I had (vanilla honey latte) was woefully light in any coffee flavor. It mostly tasted like sugar milk. The "cinnamon"scone I ordered, turned out to be a cinnamon RAISIN scone. That is an important difference that was not advertised. I am okay with raisins, but would have chosen a different scone had I known that. It was a mediocre scone that I would not order again. As other reviewers have noted, there are no prices on the menu board. It is a guessing game as to the prices and you do get a surprise when things are rung up. I don't like the lack of disclosure. They don't take cash. Now, this is clearly stated on the sign by the counter and I do understand the business reasons for doing this, but I am not fond of limiting customer options to only using cards. I will not be returning.

For the iced latte, shouldn't the milk go in after the espresso? Since it was the other way, the espresso was mainly on top and needed to be stirred. Seeing the workers, I know this part is thought out so just asking. Blackberry latte had a hint of blackberry which was nice. Not overwhelming. There is no waiting area after you order. You just kind of stand around somewhere in the store while you dodge people. Will definitely be back to try other items.

There was a mix of people studying, working, and chatting with friends; it's a very lively community spot. Despite how chaotic it was, the space was generally clean and the service was great. The cashier made sure to get our names and address us by them. The decor is beautiful, feeling intentionally designed. I thought it was really cool that they have a slow coffee bar area specifically for pour overs (I think) where tech isn't allowed, so people are just supposed to sit and enjoy their coffee. I've never seen that before in a coffee shop. The menu is extensive. Since it was later in the day, the baked goods were half off, which was a nice surprise. I got a blueberry latte and an Asian fusion focaccia bread. Blueberry latte - I liked this! The blueberry flavor was subtle and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It added a light fruity note to the coffee without overpowering it. Fusion focaccia bread - This was tasty, but I felt the original price was steep ($12). My piece was around 6" x 3". The shiitake mushroom flavor was strong and I loved the addition of scallions and Chinese sausage sprinkled throughout the bread. Overall, this is such a cool addition to coffee culture in the South Bay. It feels like shop from a big city like SF, NYC, or Chicago instead of little ol' SJ. The ambiance and options are solid, and it has a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. You can be a casual coffee drinker or a coffee snob and it will be a satisfying experience.

I ordered online a few days before and picked it up the morning of the party. Walking in, the cafe has so much light and you see a nice display of pastries. I hear the Madelines are good and will have to try them next time! Highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious cake and/or korean style cafe!

Desserts I've tried: Injeolmi cake slice Hojicha Sesame cake slice Sesame Gateau slice Korean Ssal *rice Sponge cake slice Matcha Tiramisu Dubai Chewy Cookie I went back for the hojicha sesame and tried the sesame gateau + matcha tiramisu. I LOVE hojicha, definitely my favorite over matcha. The hojicha sesame is light with hojicha whipped cream and soft sponge cake. The gateau is almost like a firm, almost buttery cookie base with whipped sesame cream on top. The matcha tiramisu was very good! Not too sweet and the matcha cream is smooth. Injeolmi cake was moist and slightly powdery due to the soybean powder. Definitely try this during your first visit! The Korean Saal was interesting since there was soft rice layered between cake layers in the cream. Carb lovers will enjoy this. Dubai chewy cookie is good for what it is. Excellent amount of crispy kataifi filling with pistachio butter cream. Pricey slices but it's nice to have a sweet treat every now and then. Staff is nice and courteous. They have indoor seating to enjoy the desserts and drinks. Cute little space. No outside food/drinks allowed.

The menu offering is limited but has enough variety to please most palates including kids as they do offer hot chocolate. The lavender latte was delicious. The coffee beans had a deep flavor reminiscent of Vietnamese coffee. The lavender flavor was unlike any other. It didn't have that artificial syrup taste. It wasn't overly florally, instead it just enhances the coffee without overpowering. Even more so, the vanilla latte was even better because that Madagascar bean flavor really shines through. I recommend getting this one if you're unsure what to order. We got to chit chat with the owner and he makes all the syrups from scratch. Both the lavender and vanilla bean syrup are homemade which is why you can really taste and appreciate the difference. The owner was very personable, open to criticism and all around a pleasant person. He seemed very knowledgable about coffee and clearly passionate about what he does. One thing I really appreciated was the temperature of the coffee. The lattes were served nice and hot. They prioritize the coffee experience rather than latte art which I appreciated.
