Vietnamese coffee is typically made with robusta beans, which have higher caffeine and a heavier, almost thick mouthfeel compared to arabica. I ordered their Hanoi Egg coffee and also their Kettle Corn coffee, from the server's recommendations. I found myself noticeably surprised by how there was bittnerness, but it was not too harsh. There were some also some chocolatey undertones in the Egg Hanoi, with the egg pudding. I would have preferred less ice, less egg pudding and more drink. Overall though, it did not take away the flavor for me. As for the vibe, there was Kpop music playing in the background when I visited and multiple tables already occupied from people working on their laptops or sitting down to talk. The aesthetic is minimalist chic - steel tables with that warehouse feel. They do not have pastry options so don't come hungry! This is the spot to go to if you're looking for a quick pick-me-up or a post-meal drink.

I did come back to try their matcha matcha drink only to find it gone from their current menu as of May 2026. Instead, their turon matcha immediately caught my eye, as it has banana and I've been obsessed with banana-flavored toppings and puree on my matcha lately. It has matcha and house banana puree, both of which work well together. The tiny layer of house banana puree has all the flavor, especially when you mix the whole drink together. Very refreshing, and their ceremonial matcha's grassy tones still came out despite the banana puree being just as strong in the drink. Their matcha here comes pretty close to making it to the highest spots on my list of my most favorite matcha places in Seattle. Even if it isn't on the top of that list, their drinks are still 5+ star quality.

I also bought a bag of their Morning Sun coffee beans as a souvenir, and the cashier mentioned how it was one of her favorite blends to drink and gift! That reassured me about blind buying. My matcha latte was pretty good. It had an added earthiness from the brown sugar syrup. Though it wasn't as green as the matcha lattes I'm used to drinking back in SoCal, it wasn't bad! However, I think I would skip the gruyere pull apart pastry next time. I usually don't mind gruyere in savory pastries, but this one was especially greasy. The scallion one my friend got was much tastier and a lot lighter - I'd recommend that one over the gruyere one. I found it very delicious and light and refreshing. If you're looking for a Matcha, the Matcha flavor isn't very strong and it mostly tastes like an earl grey latte, but it is delicious and creamy. I ended up coming back and getting it again but with extra Matcha foam for additional Matcha flavor. Absolutely loved this drink. I also got a Matcha latte with black sesame cold foam. I've had a black sesame Matcha from somewhere else before, and the sesame flavor was very light, so that was what I was expecting, but was met with a very strong sesame flavor. I was not a huge fan as it felt overpowering and I couldn't taste the matcha. However, this is just a personal preference thing and if you like black sesame you should definitely try it! I'm not sure what much they used, but it didn't taste like the best quality, but it is still delicious and their drinks are all fun . The inside is small but and warm and cozy and they do have some seating. I was always able to find a spot. Super cute place with very sweet baristas.

Now the hired hands are fined tuned & trained baristas extracting the brown juices from local roasted beans. BTW VIVACE roasts its own coffee, specializing in a Northern Italian style developed by founder David Schomer since 1992... This is why you'll love its taste... VIVACE's interior space is very large for small & medium size gatherings with a hipster eclectic taste of furnishings. Also beware free WiFi if you're a lounge lizard is available... During good weather days outside seating is available for the rare days the gods allow Seattle sun to shine down upon us. Plenty of seating and places to work if you want to work there and they also sell pastries and take home items like beans, mugs, espresso cups etc. Definitely worth a visit if you are local in the Seattle area or visiting. Parking on broadway is a bit hit or miss but you can usually find a spot either on the main street or a nearby side street.

This was my first time visiting…read morethis location on a Saturday, and while I understand it gets busy and there are a lot of tourists, that's not an excuse for rude or impatient service. I really miss the previous staff, who were warm, friendly, and made a point to greet each customer who walked in. The two employees working today a man and a woman came across as passive aggressive when handing out drinks, especially if someone didn't hear their drink being called or asked a question. It made the experience feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. As a local, I expect better consistency and customer care. For some reason, you get a much better experience both in service and quality at Victrola on 3rd & Pine in Capitol Hill & Pike. At this point, I don't plan on coming back to this location.
