Dripped in diamonds. I've been eager to find a satisfying and tasty birria taco within the loop. So many elements must come together to perfect a birria taco's harmony of flavors. Dripped is a diamond on the rough. The tacos were toasty and the consommé was delicate and tasty. Topped with red pickled onions and filled with high quality beef and melty white cheese. I opted for extra fresh chopped onions and cilantro. It comes with 2 sauces which are amazing. I ordered the cilantro lime sauce to sample and TBH the house sauces were better. Thanks for a fine meal on a rainy day. I will be back. Can't wait to try the chicken birria.

Dripped Birria, a place that specializes in the popularized Birria Tacos. As you enter the aromatic restaurant, you're met with two kiosks and a helpful gentleman in the front - both can help take your order. For my meal, I ordered the Quesabirria Tacos. The tacos were placed neatly alongside a few limes and the Birria sauce - the Birria sauce paired nicely with cheesy, tendered-meat tacos. I also enjoyed the dripped fries which had a unique flavor, which ended up ALL in my stomach! Also, props to Dripped Birria, since it was one of the few stops you can go to at 1 am - I was able to fill an empty stomach and find an amazing taco place (I will definitely go again...when I am back in Houston!).

This is absolutely some of the most repulsive food I've had in my life.... First time being in Houston trying the food scene and this is not a good start, i ordered the quesabirria tacos and quesadilla via DoorDash . First of all the quesadilla was soggy AS HELL looked nothing like the he pics on DoorDash and tasted absolutely terrible to say the least , the tacos were just as soggy with more cheese than actual meat, the meat that WAS present tasted like crayola crayons . The consome was decent and saved the day and made the first and last 2 bites of each somewhat appealing. Also my wife ordered ansome elote that was not bad i gave it a 5 which is surpassing the rest of the menu at this place. I can't speak on the service so I'll just assume that it is great given that the food was like this.... All and all i cannot say this was a great experience it in fact made my stomach hurt and waste $50 on professional trash food , i hope that changes are made to this restaurant for their sake and the future customers

I order from here often. Nothing fancy, just good birria tacos. They always arrive quickly, hot & fresh. The consommé is so good. Just the right portion, not too salty. If you've never tried it, you won't be disappointed.

I if you've never been to or passed by the galleria food truck park, it's near a busy road (chimney rock) and is place alongside a cul-de-sac with several no parking signs. It looks as if you "can" park there anyway but be weary. I happened to go at a point in the day where I could find "parking" but I'd imagine getting on the street and finding a place may be difficult during lunch hours or on the weekend so keep that in mind. The service wasn't good nor bad. It took about ten minutes to get my order and it was a pretty simple process. They take card so that's a plus these days. On to the food. I ordered the quesabirria taco and a horchata. You get three tacos with consommé and I believe pickled onions. It was tasty and the consommé was nice and warm. It felt like nice comfort food. We're they the best birria tacos I've had in Houston? No but I'd order them again. The pickled onions were a nice touch and the onions and cilantro were fresh. The horchata wasn't bad but it wasn't good. Probably won't get it again. Overall, I'd recommend this to others and would return since it's in the area.

Transparency: Been eying this place for a while on all delivery sites. After looking at the price increase on all delivery sites, I decided to go pick up the order. When you get to the door, be warned! It's hugh and slow to close. The place has a cool dark vibe to it like it plays off the Houston hip hop scene. The menu is super simple. But for this....went easy on them! The haul: Birra Tacos with the Consome cup and Birra Ramen. The tacos were quite greasy! The presentation was good and overall the taste was ok. Not the best I've had, but not the worst either. Bedsides, the lime was hard and had no give to put out any juice. The Birra ramen was awesome!!!! The extra cilantro made this dish stand out like crazy! A lota meat and the right amount of heat and spice. I added more of the Consome out of the tacos for the juice. The noodles just soaked up all the moisture. Overall: Food is good for the after the club sober up move or the quick lunch. The Birra meat is very tender and flavorful no matter how you order it.

Pretty good birria tacos. They let you buy extra cups of consume. def going to be using it for another dish at home. The one thing I wish that the tacos were crispy. The consume makes up for it, pretty flavorful and didn't taste like water like some places I've had.

WHERE IS THE CHEESE,sour cream??? Please get someone who speaks English. I order 4 orders of tacos. Look at my corn,then he tried to keep my change,I had to ask him for it. The corn WAS COLD!!!!! Cold corn,no mask,no gloves,no hand washing in place for cook,I'm glad that I speak spanish. Spend $60 and this how I'm treated,cold corn! I'm waiting on my tacos now,I pray to Allah they are good!! Or I'll be back on here again!!

Chipotle Sauce is the Best with the Tacos

Their Birria Tacos are average but it's their chipotle sauce that really makes them taste good. Unfortunately it's overpriced for the portion size. Other Birria places charge the same but for more tacos. It's nice to try once but not a big fan of this place compared to all the other Birria spots.

Ordered through Doordash, the food was very fresh and delicious. I got the birria tacos with consome. It came with two small sauces (orange was very spicy and the Verde was mild). I was excited it came with a large slice of lime, but the lime itself was very dry and didn't have any juice (that's why I rated it a 4). Tacos themselves were very flavorful and I loved the pickled onion addition. The consome was not overpowering nor over salted! I would definitely try it again.

The tacos were okay. They tasted fine, but I've had better ones elsewhere. They make you order from a tablet outside of the truck and don't acknowledge you at all. In fact, some guy was trying to ask the guy in the truck something and the guy in the truck kept the window closed and pretty much ignored him. And then when he did open the window to answer his question, the guy just seemed bothered and annoyed. Their customer service is very lacking. It feels cold when you don't even acknowledge your customers. I wouldn't go back primarily because of this issue. Also, there is no where to sit at this taco truck park, so it's difficult to eat these tacos. Luckily there was a cement bench near the chicken strip truck on the opposite side of the truck park. Their prices are on the high side. Taco Fuego across from them were a little better in price and they give you a drink with their birria taco plate. I've never tried Taco Fuego, but I will definitely try them next time since they're right across the street from Dripped. read more

Their customer service is awful he slammed the window in my face after we purchased four plates . I ordered shrimp for my friend and she can't eat selfish so less than 2mins I walked back to switch it he printed out the receipt and said this what you ordered and slammed the window closed . Than said no you have to order again the food was untouched . Overall the food alright the put too much cinnamon in there taco and there "SAUCE" you will taste it that's my first time tasting sweetness to a taco and sauce over hyped . read more

I've had lots of barrio tacos from California and Texas, this place is pretty good great service. I got my food very fast, and overall a good experience. The only complaint I have is, it's kind of under seasoned a little bit of salt goes a long way. And they need to dip the tortillas in the consommé to get the authentic Beeria taste but besides that definitely coming back here. read more

Cold food, do not answer the phone, nasty horchata, watered down consomé, overpriced, and rude customer service. If you can't sell to however many people you're expecting and keep the same quality of food consistent through the day.. maybe don't sell anything at all. read more

I've tried a few birria spots in Houston, and I have to say Dripped is my new favorite! So far I've tried the quesabirria tacos, quesadilla, and dripped fries. Everything is sooo good. The quesabirria tacos are delicious, and the accompanying consome hits the spot on a chilly night. The sauces drizzled on the dripped fries add so much flavor, and it's a pretty large portion size so I usually get one to share. Overall a fantastic food truck, check it out if you haven't already! read more

Ordered the birria tacos. Hot garbage. Bland meat. No seasoning at all. None of the chilis that are supposed to used in this dish were present. The "consume" appeared to be beef broth with no added chilis, fat, or flavor of any kind. Minimal cilantro or onion, and served with no salsa or hot sauce of any kind. Seriously disappointed. Edible, but not much more to it. read more

Do not get the elote. They put way too much of that cheap dry Parmesan cheese and it wasn't even hot or warm. It was horrible! I wasted $4 because it went straight in the trash. I do not recommend. read more

The manager was amazing! I accidentally ordered a quesadilla instead of ramen (don't ask bc idk) and went to switch it out, he let me keep it and made my order as well. (Just thought it was nice bc most times they'll throw it away if saying keep it, which I was expecting) but the birria ramen is amazing. I prefer more spicy but I added some hot sauce from home. Next time I'll grab extra salsa and try it combined. read more

This place is decent at best. I should have known better because it was all over Instagram and I don't trust that garbage. The Birria tacos had no flavor. They had a nice crisp but lacked cheese and any flavor. The consume was good and an absolute necessity to get ANY flavor with the tacos. They give you one half of a lime and a couple of pickled onions. Pretty crummy. The elote was decent. Dripped is decent if you're in the area but you can find half a dozen better Birria joints pretty close. read more

The food was amazing for the price! The location was perfect, it was in a food truck parking lot so you had plenty of options to choose from if you were going there to be a food tourist. Even if you didn't just want birria tacos, you could have gotten their neighboring chicken sandwich or hamburgers. It was very casual, very friendly and very good service. I would definitely recommend this location to someone who is visiting Houston. read more

We DoorDash from this place for the first time I ordered the quesadilla, and nachos both with smoked chicken and a side of corn. The quesadilla was pretty good. It had a green sauce and another sauce drizzled over and quesadilla itself was an ok size. The nachos had chicken, cheese, and some jalapeños a bit basic but they were also good for a nice snack. The Elote I was a bit disappointed in it didn't have that authentic Elote taste. The DoorDash did come quick and our food was warm. They were definitely worth a try, but I don't think I would go out of my way to have them again. read more

The birria tacos were not too crispy mine were a little soggy but nonetheless good. Meat is good, flavor is bomb. Might help to ask to cook the tortilla a bit more, get that thing crispy to hold up when you dip in that consume. I also got the fries and they are frreeaaakkkiinnngg gooooddd. Just don't get them if you can't handle the heat, comprende? read more

Beautiful Food. HORRIBLY BLAND.. My hopes were so high because it was beautiful and quick service. Food was so bland. I ordered the Birria tacos. Ate the first one. Suffered through the 2nd one. Tacos Dona Lena is a very well known restaurant that has fed me twice recently and I enjoyed both…read morevisits. Parking is in front of the restaurant located in a strip center. Inside it is a one room eatery with counter service. My first visit was to try the Birria Burrito for $16 with the meal delivered about 10 minutes later. It consisted of their Birria meat cooked for 4 hours mixed with chorizo, cheese, rice, beans and sour cream all wrapped in a large flour tortilla seasoned with their special red colored seasoning. With the meal came a cup of consomne'. Guy Fieri would say, Welcome to Flavortown! It was delicious. The Birria beef was so tender and the flavored flour tortilla with that proprietary red seasoning they use was perfect. It was a very filling meal and well worth the price. So much so, I thought about it the next day. Another visit was to try one of their specialities, the Quesabirria for $14. This meal consisted of 3 grilled and crispy corn tortillas seasoned again with their special red colored magic dust. The tortillas had the delicious Birria meat and cheese inside and I again loved them. The tortillas are only slightly crispy and the meat, cheese and tortillas memorable. This meal also came with a cup of consommé for dipping. Another nice thing about eating here is the customer service. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. The guy bussing the tables acted more like the owner than an employee with his helpfulness and the actual manager came out to check on us. Impressive for a counter service restaurant. Tacos Dona Lena deserves its reputation as one of the best restaurants of its kind. Incredible food and employees all at very reasonable prices. When I think of tacos and burritos, this place is what comes to mind!

And Tacos Doña Lena, on which I'll heap tons of praise on, is among them. A group of friends and I had supper here before a live show down the street at Eighteen Ten Ojeman. Upon seeing the storefront when we pulled into the parking lot, my first thought was, "Okay, this is legit Mexican, not Tex-Mex." The interior is quite small with some tables and an ample late Saturday afternoon crowd. What caught my eye is how the environment is what you might expect to find at a family-run taqueria off the beaten path. Rock en Español blaring from the sound system. Colorful papel picado draped from the ceiling. A framed Mexican flag and several references to the central Mexican municipality of Guanajuato. The intoxicating smell of spice-laced grilled beef wafting through the air. Simply put, we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. I glanced at the menu. There are numerous, delicious-sounding items that happen to be wallet-friendly, a bit cheaper than if you were to go to Gringos or Jimmy Changas. According to a mutual, the tacos here are the main draw, but what really caught my attention and appetite was the ramen birria. Mujeres y caballeros (ladies and gentlemen), let me proclaim that Tacos Doña Lena turns a noodle dish with origins in Japan and is a known staple in college dorm rooms into a must-try on this part of America's fourth-largest city. Two amazing food cultures unite for a fiery meeting of the minds. Anchored by a rich, tasty consomé that's spicy but not enough to where you need to drink multiple glasses of water, there's a prime mix of ramen noodle, beef birria, cheese, fried egg, rabanos, garbazo, and corn accompanied by cilantro, onions, and a pair of fried tostadas. I was so impressed with how the contents of the ramen blended together. Since it was ramen after all despite the south of the border touchup, I still ate it the traditional way: pick up the noodles and sip the soup. There was so much that I had no choice but to put it in a takeout container. Sure, Spring Branch may be home to some great traditional Korean restaurants, but don't sleep on Tacos Doña Lena.

I have been here 4 times since the grand opening and I will keep coming back , all their food has SO much flavor and authentic. The nice girl in the front also recommended the creamsicle with tajin and chamoy, oh mannn i wish i ordered 2. I got three tacos with consume (the dipping sauce) for $11 and Loaded birria fries for $9 and they were very generous with their portion size. So I felt like I really got my bang for my buck.
