This place has such a unique vibe for a breakfast/brunch joint! My boyfriend and I both ordered mimosas, him the original and me the strawberry lemonade. Mine tasted like a Mikes hard but it was still good! We also got the wownuts which were super cute little bite sized donuts with sprinkles and drizzles! I ordered the fried chicken benny and let me tell you, this was a GAME CHANGER. I have never seen fried chicken with an eggs benedict and I was soo excited to try it out. This did not disappoint! It was delicious!! My boyfriend got the gumbo bowl and he loved it also. We were both quiet the entire meal because we couldn't stop eating. Staff were so nice and welcoming also! Fabulous experience. It was busy, as would be expected on a Sunday mid-day, but we got an accurate estimate of our wait. All four of us loved our dishes - I got the French delight, a French toast sandwich with eggs, sausage and bacon. Tried some unique dishes too like the woahnuts (waffle donuts). Great cocktails (my favorite was the raspberry mimosa, recommendations from friends were that the pineapple mango was also smooth as well as the Drunch mimosa), great music, great vibes. Highly recommend and will definitely be back. And yes, they are following Covid precautions including hand sanitizer, masks, and temperature checks. Drunch is a good bar with okay food. It's in an up and coming area. The cocktail menu is the best thing. It has a few good food choices. The bar also has lots of room. I had the hummus with pita and cocktail. It's about $7 for the hummus. This comes with pita and salad. It came out pretty fast. The hummus was really fresh tasting. It's a good choice for a light meal. The bad thing is they close early, but there's many other bars right there. If you like a light meal and cocktails go to Drunch. Went to Drunch today for the second time. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a staff member and seated right away. My friend and I ordered the loaded drunch home fries which were pretty good but kind of salty. I got the breakfast flat bread which is a large portion for one person. I strongly suggest splitting this meal as it is kind of much. Not sure if I would get this again due to it hurting my stomach from so much grease. Met a few friends here this past week. The place was moderately busy with a large party seated near us. We were greeted and received water promptly but the good service ended there. Thirty minutes in, a manager came by and asked if it was our first time there and then promoted their new location in Hilliard. I had to mention that we had not even been asked for our food orders yet. In another 5 minutes, the server came to take the orders and we had our food in less than 10. The food was delicious but it was delivered 45 minutes from when we had sat down! In addition the place was loud and the bathroom was messy and needed attention. Call me crazy but as a black bean burger lover, I'm 99% sure that their black bean burgers are Costco's Morningstar black bean patties.... Cons: The experience at Drunch is just generally unpleasant. -The people who work there are super agressive and just not nice. -The interior has zero style or ambience of any kind, it feels like you're eating in someone's garage. - They automatically add an 18% tip... which is honestly WAY less than I would leave, even in spite of their terrible service. But I feel like the fact that the tip is guaranteed is the reason they feel ok being so awful to customers. -I went into the bathroom and it was so nasty, all I could think was" ... if this is what the bathroom looks like, imagine how bad the kitchen must be?" but my food had arrived when I returned to the table. ... which brings me to the only good thing about Drunch: THE BREAKFAST PRETZEL!! That thing is absolutely delicious. It's so good, I almost don't even care if the kitchen is nasty. I almost don't care that the employees are mean. I almost don't care that they treat you like crap from start to finish and rush you through the place like you're an item on an assembly line. Only issue was a delay in delivery when I asked for more syrup. The chicken and waffles were great. I've seen a variety of methods for preparing chicken and waffles and I have to say, I prefer the boneless chicken approach to the more traditional wings and waffles. The chicken was crisp and the breading was flavorful. The waffle was light and fluffy (as a waffle should be) but nothing out of this world. We both decided we didn't need to go back . I had the chicken & waffles w/ a side of scrambled eggs w/ cheese, water & an apple juice. She had the steak & eggs with a Strawberry & Mango Mimosa. The chicken & waffles were not bad, but they we're good either. Both the chicken & waffle batter is bland, there is suppose to be cheese on the entree, you might see a literal sprinkle of cheese on ONE of the tenders . I asked for the hot sauce on the side, the bill said No tabasco. Our waitress Montana is probably the reason for the three stars review, cause the food is about a 2 star for me. She was very helpful and answered our questions about the menu. The hostess did advise of the 18% gratuity automatically added to all bills and they wanted people to exit out the back door. However, she was not at the door on several occasions and multiple people exited out the front door. i'm not sure where the "hype" came surrounding Drunch, maybe from people who aren't use to seasoned food and have now gentrified the Short North area, but this ain't it. Drunch. Is. Delicious. First of all, they have the strictest Covid measures in place of any restaurant I've been to in the last ten months. They temperature check, make you hold your palms up so they can squirt sanitizer on them, watch you sanitize, give a lengthy speech on entering and exiting in different places, tell you not to hang out after your meal, so they can maximize the amount of customers they can have, and also they gently remind you to wear your mask at your table if you aren't actively eating or drinking. (First time that's happened to me in a restaurant). But I understood, and thankfully, the food was worth the lecture. On to the food. It's pricey. 18% gratuity is automatically added to every order, and for two meals, one coffee, one juice, gratuity, and a lecture at the hostess stand, breakfast set us back $50. I had a bagel with sausage, egg, bacon, and it was scrumptious. My husband had some sort of chicken, egg, hollandaise meal and he loved it. My orange juice was in a plastic bottle, like you would get out of a vending machine, instead of in a glass, and I'm not sure why, but that bugged me. Nice meal, and vending machine orange juice? Nice place, serve it in a glass, don't cheapen the meal by throwing a plastic bottle on my table. Other than that, great breakfast. Will definitely eat here again. read more

The marmalade at the bottom of the glass was a nice sweet ending after finishing our food -- just the perfect something sweet that seems to hit the spot after eating. There are so many choices on the food menu that were tempting. Thought I was heading toward the Chicken Frittata, but the Veggie Benny caught my attention. So glad it did. Loved it. Felt decadent and healthy at the same time. Appreciated the side of Drunch Potatoes that came with it. Potatoes were a little salty for me, but texture and flavors were great. My husband ordered from the Specials. Cajun Gumbo bowl. He loved it. Flavors were well balanced. Said some heat from the andoiulle but also some sweet notes. As the host walked us to the table she said the kitchen was backed up and it would take around 45 minutes for our food to come out. From the look of it they seemed understaffed. Luckily our food came out relatively fast for what we were expecting. I got the breakfast bowl! I really enjoyed this! Wasn't as much food as I was expecting so I finished it all... lol. Our server was not very attentive. We had to track him down multiple times for forgotten items, drinks, and checks. Drinks: all tasted like juice. No alcohol content. When we told our server this he sent over the bartender and she told us they do not free pour and that everything was measured out so if we wanted more alcohol in the drink we would need to buy a shot.
